Ladies~
I went to my doctor Tuesday 7/21/09. She made me feel like this is the answer. I really want a endometrial ablation done, but I was told, that there could be problems down the road as I get older. I am 43 and we are done with having kids because my tubes are tide.
But after reading all the comments, I am really scared to have this put in. I have MS I was diagnosed 5 years ago this June. I just can not afford to have a flare up.
Ladies i really need your input on this, if you would please.
thank you
T

I had the Mirena inserted 2 weeks ago and about 5 days post insertion I began feeling changes. The first problem I had was the inability to fall asleep and stay asleep. My 2 months old daughter has been sleeping through the night and I was looking at the clock all hours just trying to fall asleep! I had insomnia! Then I began getting horrible acne, deep lumps in chin, very painful. I have been a horrible person to live with. I have been crying for no reason at all and yelling at my husband and children. Luckily, I noticed that these changes began happening shortly following the insertion of the Mirena. I began my research and found this website! I feel so lucky that I realized it was the Mirena before it ruined my life. I have an appointment to get it taken out in 3 days! Of course, my doctor said, "The Mirena couldn't be causing these problems, the hormones are only in the uterus." Bull! I know my body and it is having a terrible reaction to the hormones! Keep your chin up and get the Mirena out, you can be normal again!

Join the push to BAN STATINS as these drugs have caused more harm to mankind than terrorism. Educate your friends. family and co-workers. Get the word out. The tide is turning and the time is NOW. Learn the truth about cholesterol and heart disease. The deception by big pharma is coming to an end. You can save lives by speaking up and sharing.

I just called my OBGYN for my Mirena insertion date... January 2006. At my regular annual visit in December 2005, I weighed 167lbs... December 2006 - 173lbs... December 2007 - 175lbs... This December I will be in the 185lb range! I do not come from a 'fat' family and have never experienced such weight gain except when I had 2 courses of the Depo-Provera BC shots - then I gained almost 30lbs in 6 months. I am going to request the removal of the Mirena this December. I exercise and am not an over-eater. After reading this website, I can't wait to get rid of it! I don't have periods per se, but do experience PMS as if I did. I really haven't seen any increase in hair loss, but at 47-1/2 can't figure out all the acne. My sex drive (normally considered as exceptional) comes and goes like the tide. I have been experiencing a lot of headaches, but figured they were stress-related... maybe not. Thanks for the info & keep the lines open!

I am so relieved to know that I'm not turning into some crazed basket case!
I've been on nuvaring for over 2 years. In the beginning, I couldn't believe the product...it was phenomenal! Put it in, and forget about it! Also, skipping periods was never so easy! I never spotted...just inserted a new ring and went on my merry way!

Well, that all changed about a year ago. I was planning my wedding, so I chalked my moodiness and depression on this huge event (of course! makes sense, right?). Time went on, and the feelings have not dissipated. I have always been a very emotional "in tact" female...a tuff Texas girl! I've had management jobs where my even keel disposition has been key to my success. Now, I'm afraid I'm going to breakdown at work...that would be BAD...really bad.

Also, my weight has been a thorn in my side. Although, I am not a big girl (135#), I'm bigger than I'd like (used to be 125). And, what's up with the belly pooch!? NEVER in my life have I had a belly that pokes out like this! I work out 4-5 x a week and eat healthy (yes healthy, you skeptics). My breasts have blown up like the Macy's day parade which my husband is all for, but I'm, quite frankly, getting a little scared of them:)

I am taking my nuva out on Sunday, and I CANNOT wait!! I want to go back to my fun, happy-go-lucky self.

BTW!! - To you men reading these entries with a girlfriend or wife that has recently turned into a crazy loon...stay strong for your lady. My husband has been an amazing man. I know he's wanted to get in his car and run away a couple times, but he has stuck by me. And I'm about to rock his world with my new and improved sex drive (when it decides to come back).

Best of Luck and I'll see you lovely ladies on the other side!!

I am so relieved to find this site. After only one month of taking this pill, I think that I could go crazy. I have missed days of work, slept my weekend away.. been to the emergency room and to the dr. office a few times.
I actually thought that I was having some mid life crisis at 28.
I have had panic attacks, heart palpatations, severe dizziness and depression.. AFTER 1 MONTH. I had my tubes tide in July of 04 and have endometriosis and was put on Yasmine for the cramping.. which it helps, but I would rather have the cramps daily then to feel like this.
- Thank you to everyone for posting on this site!!

Sometimes not always sure if it is just me( attitude, depression, way of thinking about life) or it is the med?,, of course, it couldnt be the med, right?,, the doc wouldnt give me something that is bad for me, right?.. I have been taking Diovan (40, 80) for about a year or so and 25 hctz,,but I constantly struggle for a feeling of sanity,,(sounds crazy, huh?),, I have anxiety, palps, shortness of breath, tiredness, wake up with heart beating out of chest (thats fun)...so I feel like I am swimming against the tide each day and struggle to feel halfway normal,, its amazing that I can even go to work.
