Im 21 and this is the 2nd time ive had DVT-
4 years ago when i was 17 i had 3 extensive clots in my right calf, thigh and abdomen. I was put on warfarin for 6 months.
Last month I had the same pain and swelling in my right abdomen and leg and was again diagnosed with 3 more clots. now im on warfarin for life.
I am tired and weak all the time, aching and sore, itchy, hot&cold, bloating-stomach cramps and diarrhea most days, i am getting NO sleep as well as having depression.
And no doctor seems to want to listen. Its ruined my social life and education as Im too ill to walk etc. Im also an insulin dependant diabetic.

I have been using the ring since Jan 2007 with no problems, the worst part has been putting it in and taking it out. But since May 2007 I have been having problems with my hair breaking and thinning, my hair dresser thinks it is stress or hormones. Last month I cut my hair very short and I am still experiencing breakage. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced problems with their hair.

Yasmin gave me IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrom for those of you who don't know.) I was on the pill for eight months. My pre-symptoms were I had 5 yeast infections in a row, in the second and third months of taking it...this didn't ring any bells, even though I had never had a yeast infection before in my life, and my doctor just said I had a yeast imbalance. So a month after those stopped the IBS started. I was in the bathroom about 8 times a day, I thought maybe it was a flu, so i didn't go to the doc right away. I eventually gave up on that thought and went to see my doc, who even he, thought that it was IBS, so he sent me to a specialist right away. I had a colonoscopy and nothing, so the specialist told me that I needed to stop searching and just accept that I had IBS (I told him that I had been trying to figure it all out, because you literally don't wake up one day, go to the bathroom and your life changes forever, I KNEW something else was going on.) Anyways, I had a dumb specialist, he said that I had to accept this, I asked if it could possibly be my birth control and he said no and prescribed my a whole bunch of other drugs. Well I still just couldn't believe my life just all of a sudden changed, so I went to my family doc, lied, told him i was getting moody off Yasmin, and he switched me onto another. IT WORKED no more IBS, the results were immediate, it took a while for my poor damaged bowls to fix themselves, a few months actually, but now things are getting back to normal. Oh, and I've stopped birth control pills, back to condoms for me...my doc put me on Alesse, which didn't work either - moody! and then he put me on Marvelon, which inflamed my gallbladder (had to go for an ultrasound to see if i had gallstones) I figured at this rate, in two years i'd be dead from taking b/c so I was done, I would recommend the same to anyone!!

hi all been of yasmin about 3months + now i have written a few times before just to update you on my progress.

well i have had 3 periods since coming off yasmin which is good .

my anixety and panic attacks are nearly gone now i do get the odd bit of anixety around shops etc.. nbut this month is the first time ive been propper food shopping usually i would go online and that even got me worked up before soons silly doesnt it but this evil pill is such poision somethink needs to be done about it.

well around my period im worse than ever each month seems to be getting better thou which is good i was on yasmin 1 year.

which i lost my 1st babys year as i had all the side effects to this pill and i didnt seen intrested in him at all so thanks o this i lost out on enjoying his 1st year .
now im getting back to my old self things are looking up for me i enjoy spending time with my sons and husband .
i havent been aucusing him so much of doing things he isnt even doing.
thank god i found this site other wise i mite still be on this pill and my marriage over.
but my husband is such a beauty he stands by me to this day each and every day gets better you do have bad days but u are boan to coming of this getting it out your system.
the thing i still suffer with which i aint complaining after most of the effects either mild of stoppped now is the left arm aching now and again i did use to get striking pains in it all the time and in my chest but the chest pains have gone and the arm only plays me up now and again especially when tierd at night so this pill was oviously effecting the heart as the syptoms i was having chest pains etc.. was all signs of a heart attack.
my doctor didnt admit that it was this pill but he knows it was he was really good and advised to stay of it i am never touching any form of contraceptive again in my life apart from the condom.
i thank you all for posting your views and storys on this site and i wish you all the best and keep you heads up each month get better every ones bodys are different so give it time.
this pill ruined my year but im looking forward to a future without it thanks love to all nicola

My 7 and 4 yr old boys are both on Singulair. I have notice a differents with my 7 yr old with his actions. He is hitting, yelling, and doing outrage things that he has never done before. His skin is pale, he is always sick. I was reading this site to some family memebers and they were all that sounds like clifton. Logan who is now 4 was put on it since Sept of last year. Since then he has done nothing but whine when told to do something, hits out of no where. His actions are not the logan I had before this Singulair. It was pointed out by a friend today to me about this site. So i begin to look, and OMG does it scare me....TO think the whole time Ive been telling people, boys will be boys...and overlooking how much this SINGULAIR is not helping my sons. And to think they want to put my 2yr old daughter on it..I THINK NOT

thanks for sharing everything with me and others on the site
Joy
