I have been using Lisinopril for about 2 years. I have some patches of TOTAL hair loss. One side behind and over my ear is about the size of a golfball (round) and the other side is only about the size of a quarter. I've also noticed other small round thinning area. One other area of my body is completely void of hair in the same quarter round size.
I've been taking everything imaginable to boost my immune system and it isn't changing. I eat healthy and I'm NEVER sick. That's what makes me think my immune system is fine... or at least ok.
Anyone else having these symptoms? Maybe it's time to change BP meds. It isn't really dropping mine much anyway.

I have been on dilantin for 20 years for seizure disorder called cortical dysplasia. Didn't even know I had it until 2004 when I had a grand mal seizure that lasted too long and different tests were run by my neurologist. It was suggested at that time that I switch from dilantin to something else due to taking it "too" long but all I knew is that it kept me seizure free and I was unwilling at that time to change. Well now here I am in 2006 with the side effects of the dilantin taking the chance of switching meds. Have been put on topamax, have been taking it for about a month. Very difficult transition for me, expecially when the dilantin was stopped all together. A lot of it was "in my head" I believe as I knew the dilantin did work and was not so sure about the other but I have struggled with feeling "hung over" in the mornings, confused, off balance, slow in answering questions, and anxious regarding these symptoms. My Dr. assures me I will adjust as my dosage is increased. Just when I get used to one I have to go up so it is very stressful times for me at the present but at this point I'm willing to ride it out. I have a MRI and a 24 hr. ambulatory EEG scheduled within the next 2 weeks so we shall see the results from that, but in response to side effects.......yep.....at least for me...but some are mind created

I took Levaquin in April for a sinus infection that was pretty severe that the medicine worked and I don't remember major side effects. However, I have the sinue infection back in one ear, went to the dr. yesterday and she prescribed again 500mg for 10 days. I took the first pill last night and w/in a few hours was nauseated, my vision was blurring (thought it might be time to change contacts), did not sleep well and got up several times in the night to urinate (which is rare). I woke up feeling very achy and my right forearm, shoulder and neck were very sore. I thought maybe I slept on it wrong. Today I am nauseous, urinating frequently and having vision problems not to mention very lethargic at work. Not good. After seeing all the negative comments on this website I feel better that I'm not losing my mind and it is the Levaquin, which I plan on not taking anymore and will call my dr. for another alternative.

I'm a 36 year old triathlete. I started taking Advair 3-4 years ago. I noticed immedialty that my wheezing stopped. For this reason, I thought the medicane worked well. I also noticed that heavy excersion activities became a little harder. Initially I thought it was allergies. I had less wind. I kept taking Advair because it stolpped the wheezing. 3 months ago I changed my dose from 100 to 250. My lungs started feeling heavier and it was harder for me to breath. I decided to stop taking Advair 3 days ago. I'd have headaches once in a while with Advair but I never noticed any other problems. I've stopped taking Advair for 3 days now. I feel like I can take deep breaths again. I also feel like I'm going through a withdrawal. I've had an intense headache. I'm sure it will go away. The big test will be over the next week. I'll see how I feel when I'm training. I'm not sure if my Asthma is bad enough to take medicane but I'll see. I'll keep Albueteral close by just in case. I'll post again in 1-2 weeks.
