Tingling in arms symptoms and conditions

I am so glad i found this.. i have experienced a lot of the things that everyone else has.. i have been on lisinopril for six months and i am only 26 years old. I frequently have tingling in arms and legs and am usually kind of nauseous or dizzy. Mentally, i have never felt so down before and i thought it was just normal to question things in my life at 26, but i think it may be because of this drug.. i have a doctor's appt in three days and i am going to try and get off of this drug.

Had my mirena removed yesterday after spending the weekend in the hospital for "cardiac telemetry" (observation). This was my 2nd major event this year that made me feel as if I were in need of immediate medical attention. I have had too many days of dealing with "cloudiness", blurred vision, headaches, waking with body aches, abdominal "flutters", irritability, chest pain, numbness/weakness/tingling in arms and legs, thinning hair, and horrific weight gain! The sad thing is that I didn't realize all these things had a single culprit until the end of my 5 years. I'm just glad that it is out, and I have brighter days ahead!

I was first prescribed 2 a day for seven days for a knot on my arm
Days 1 &2 ok
3rd night heaviness and tingling in arms legs,hot flashes uncontrollable shaking,hot one minute then cold the next,severe panic attack(it lasted 4 hrs.,nausea,rapid pulse hands and feet cold and blue
4th thru 6th days shaky weak feeling,fatigue, extreme depression ,VERY JITTERY,STARTLED EASY,my penis got extremely sensitive and turned purple
7th day chest pain,shoulder pain, back pain,tightness in chest, difficulty breathing, it got so bad i went to the ER they found nothing but my pulse ox was low
I started feeling normal again 6 days after I finished the round
I then went back to the doctor for the knot again, they drained the knot and he put me on Sulf. again only this time 4 a day for ten days
I got 2 doses in (4 pills) and noticed a lot of the same symptoms returning . I have not nor will not take this drug again.

I am a 32 year old woman who has been taking 5mg of Lisinopril for almost 2 years. I have never had high blood pressure in my life but after the birth of my second child my blood pressure didn't seem to come down and with a family history of high blood pressure my doctor put me on 5mg.

I started experiencing pain in my fingers and hands about a year ago off and on. I work on a computer 40 hours a week and just put this off to typing/computer work. I have recently started experiencing pain in my ankle and foot.

I have an appointment tomorrow with my doctor regarding my joint pain/Lisinopril. After reading many of your posts I have also experienced other side effects such as fluttering in chest and tingling in arms and legs. My question is do any of you have any suggestions of things I should mention to my doctor or additional things I should be aware of? I am going to ask to be taking off this medication as well. Does anyone have tips on coming off Lisinopril?

I was prescribed Simva 30mg to replace Lipex which is no longer government funded 6 weeks ago. Since taking this medication I am waking up with tingling in my elbows and fingers blurry eyesight and what really worries me and no one seems to have mentioned is low body temp 34.2 and then a reading of 34.8 now averaging around 35.2

Please is anyone out there suffering from low body temp

I was placed on Topamax, off label, for suspected bipolar illness (now disproven). My cognition, word finding abilities, memory has been so adversely affected that I am now on disability. I had 5 kidney stones due to the development of Renal Tubular Acidosis, nearing renal failure (a side effect doctors don't warn patients about). This in turn led to osteomalacia, softening of the bones, only discovered after I broke all three major bones in my leg and snapped off my foot stepping off the lowest seat of a bleecher. I've suffered tingling in arms, hands, legs & feet (nerve damage), lesions in the brain, muscle spasms, heat & cold intolerance, insomnia etc... Although I lost weight, I gained it back (then some) as soon as I reduced the dosage of 800 mgs. Upon stopping the drug to save my kidneys, thus my life, my kidney function returned to almost normal within a few months, although there is residual damage. All other side affects remain two years later. Losing weight is not worth dying! Beware of this drug being used off label! I would never trust this drug!

I have been taking Avelox - for an accute Nasal infection - from Septoplasty. It seems like I am in the five percentile that has a torn cartlidge from this surgery. WIth that comes constant infections. My doctor gave me 8 boxes of Avelox. I get nauseated after I have taken the meds. I have been in a 'fog' lately - after reading your posts I know now that its the drug and I am going to stop taking it. I agree - Complete confusion, dizziness, nausea, out of touch, tingling in arms and legs, and I too cant type worth a darn right now - I miss things that typically I would not miss.

Complete confusion, dizziness, nausea, out of touch, tingling in arms and legs, feels like tongue is swollen. This is after 3 days of taking Avelox. First symptoms occurred 20 minutes after first dose. I stuck with it since I had strepht phenomia.

Hello to all again. Wow that last post I have so much that is on there. I have had so many blood tests that come back normal, xrays and everything ekg, brain scan, abdominal scan. And, now I have started oo just feel like passing out all day everyday, I just had to go have a balance test done. At least they called back and I can get this out on the 4th of February. I just really hope that taking this mirena helps. I cannot believe the side effects everyone is having. Please pray for me as I will for you. I would hate for any of you to feel as absolutely shitty as I do and have for about the last 6 months. I have been scared like I am going to die, with all of the things happening and top it of with anxiety and throw a panic attack in, you have me. Please everyone keep writing, I read anxiously all day seeing what symptoms you all have too. These are mine in entirety
*Dizziness (constant)
*Anxiety
*Panic Attack
*Tingling in arms and legs, mostly left arm
*Eye Pain (spots and blurred vision)
*Abdominal Pain to left and right of belly button
*Constipation
*My throat hurts, not sore throat, the Adams apple
*Faintness all day long
*Weight Loss ( I know, different but I have lost like 15 lbs)
*Chest pain all day mostly in left breast
*Back pain
Seriously, I can barely function anymore. This SUCKS!!!

I have been on this medication for 3 months now. I am a 28 year old male, 6'2", weigh 211lbs, and in overall good health. My blood pressure average is 144/72 without the medication, but on the medication it seems to stay around 136/66. It took about one week for the blood pressure medicine to start working and when it did I felt very tired (which is normal). Now, in my third month I have started to notice new symptoms like severe headache in the right front lobe, severe tiredness, cold fingers and toes (in warm conditions), severe lower back pain, mood swings, blurred vision in the right eye (same location as headache), and a occasional twitch in my right thumb (probably not related to the medicine). When I first started this medication I did read all of these post and figured that everyone was crazy and/or nuts, but know I am thinking that I would rather stop the medication
and start seeking out for a better medication.. I know medicine has side effects but damn!!! Anyone else have cold fingers and toes while they have been on the medication..thanks

I had mirena put in 9 months ago after I had my baby. I began bleeding and cramping immediately and it never stopped. I had no energy and breakouts on my back and face. I couldn't take it anymore so I had it removed yesterday. I'm trying the nuvaring, well see. I'm still bleeding and cramping and had some numbness all over last night. I'm sick of this why can't they invent a bc that doesn't have so many crazy side effects.

I had my Mirena inserted about 4 months ago and I have felt like I'm falling apart ever since. I have experienced the following symptoms: numbness/tingling in arms and legs, EXTREME fatigue, depression, anxiety, acne on back, my hair is thinner, bloating, sore stomach, lower back pain, etc. Most recently, I have had a lot of heartburn and my voice is kind of hoarse. Also, when I went to the doctor, they did a urine test and found that I have a trace of blood in my urine. Along with this I feel like I need to pee all the time, but I seem to have no bladder infection. I am fed up with this device and feeling like total crap all of the time. I have no energy and can't seem to get enough sleep. The only thing good about this thing is that I don't have a period. Of course, my doctor swears all of these symptoms can't possibly be due to the Mirena, but I don't see how it could all be coincidental. Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing these weird symptoms like the bladder issue or the heartburn/hoarseness.

I have bronchitis and my doctor prescribed Avelox. I have never been allergic to anything so I thought that I would be fine. So, took it for the first time yesterday and by 7pm I was having tingling all in my arms. I really didn't know which meds would have caused it. I am also on Prednisone and Hydro -PC for cough. Went to the doctor this morning they wanted to see me....he assumed that it was the cough medicine and took me off of it. Took my antibiotic this afternoon and guess who has tingling in arms and legs...Yeah, I am coming off of this. I have been talking my self through a panic attack, can't sleep and my eyes are kinda droopy. My face feels weird.....I will never take this again.

I have read many letters concerning side effects of Lipitor as I have been taking this medication for some years. I too am suffering many symptoms such as tingling in arms and legs, severe headaches, nausea,extreme lethargy and severe depression. I would like to ask if you other sufferers experience these symptoms continually or transiently. As in my case I do, very occasionally have a reasonable day with the pains slightly more bearable. 10 months ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease but I am now having serious doubts about this.

I have had a severe case of polymyalgia rheumatica and was initially put on 60 mg of prednisone a day. It was wonderful! Within hours my pain level dropped almost in half. From there the pain has gradually improved even more. I went to 40 mg per day to 20 mg per day to 15 mg per day. Have been on the 15 mg for 2 months now and want off as soon as possible. Yes, I too have the moon face, camel hump, slight weight gain, nausea, digestive problems, cramps, depression, etc. Not fun! My question is - does anyone experience burning/stinging in their face, arms and legs from the prednisone? I wonder if it is the polymyalgia rheumatica or if this is a side effect from the steroid. Glad to find this site. My BP has always been high, but due to stress it has been 170/110 on Inderal 40mg, 3 times a day. My doctor put me on Lisinopril 10mg, my BP was same. He increased it to 20mg, and am having numbness and tingling in arms with nausea and dizziness. My BP is still the same...He increased it to 40mg., I am flushing it down the toilet after reading the comments. My mom was on it for years and finally realized the constant cough and uncontrolled hypertension, which lead to a pacemaker, was due to the Lisinopril.

I am trying to wean myself off of Wellbutrin. Was taking 300mg (150 2x day) for about 2 years. After my sister had a seisure, I immediately cut my dosage in half and did that for about 3 weeks. Felt fine. Cut that in half for about 2 weeks and felf fine. Today (Sept 3, 07) is my first full week off the medication. I've had the text book withdrawal symptoms; lack of sleep, light headed, tingling in arms and legs, headaches, and occassional shaking.
Any idea how long symptoms will last, and is there any thing to do, naturally, that will help.

Hi,My biggest side effects are the hair loss,limb swelling,insomnia,halucinations(unless my dead dog really is a ghost),memory loss,numbness in legs and arms,tingling in arms and hands expecially when I cough or sneeze,sinus stuffiness and infections and cronic bronchitis.Allthough I have these side effects I personally think that I am better off taking the singulair for my asthma(does not help my allergy symptoms at all) than when I was on all the allergy meds and streoids.I used to have a bag load of those and I was allways having attacks,was depressed and thought of suicide but then I did the study for singulair about 15 years ago and thought it was a miracle cure so I waited for it to come out on the market.I know it is not a miracle cure but I don't have to take those other meds anymore and I only use my fast acting inhailer mabee once a month now.I am now 6 months pregnant and will be looking for an alternative treatment from a hollistic/natural Dr. after I have the baby.There has got to be a better way to control this disease,I hope,naturally through diet and other remadies with less or no side effects to treat my allergies and asthma.If anyone knows of such tratments,please post it.Thanks.LR

I was almost miticulous prior to this the brain fog seems to have gotten worse other things a little better

24 yr old relativly healthy Male. I developed a Urinary Tract infection and was prescribed by an ER doctor 8 days worth of Levaquin (500mg) within days I was so depressed, anxious, couldn't keep any food down. its been 6 days and I've lost 14 lbs. I stopped after the 4th dose and refuse to take it again. I threw up after just about every meal and was only able to keep the broth portion of Chicken Noodle soup down. I experienced several panic attacks, numbess in all my extremities, and my heart was racing. My blood pressure was normal but I felt as if it was beating out of my chest and the pulse could be felt in various portions of my body. I remember by the 4th day of taking it that I wanted my Urinary Tract Infection back as the side effects were much worse than a UTI. Its been 3 days since I've been off it and I'm still experiencing some nervousness, tingling in arms and feet. my body is aching. I am still exhausted and still trying to gain my appetite back. I can eat solid foods agian but only so much and I find I'm turned off by foods I would normally be craving. I experienced confusion, loss of concentration and cold sweats. I remember waking up in the middle of the night freezing but within minutes of wrapping up in a blanket I felt I was in a Sauna. This Drug has no place on the market and I'm scared to find people on here who have been off it for months and still feeling side effects. I am also relieved that I figured out the cause. If the side effects linger for long than a couple of weeks, you can add me to the list of people who will look into a lawsuit!

facial mooning , bloating , tingling in arms and feet, moody some days, cammel hump, weight gain which has stabalized but did gain aprox. 30 lbs. first few months. I've weaned down to 15 mgs from 50 mgs a day I've been on it for for 7 months. Every 2 weeks i go down 5 mgs. untill i get to 10mgs then I will go down 2 1/2 mgs. every 2 weeks untill I'm done. The side effects are still strong How long does it take to feel relief from them??? Does the hump go away??

Switched from Zestril to Lisinopril in Jan 2004 - Starting in February have had incredibly severe leg crams eleven times; numbness and tingling in arms a couple of times; extreme fatigue; dizziness and light headedness, large weight gain. Numerous medical tests have not revealed cause. Visited a dietician today to discuss weight gain, and she immediately connected my syptoms as a possible side effect to Lisinopril, and suggested I discuss the possibility with my doctor. Internet research indicates many others have similar symptoms from Lisinopril.

I started Yasmin on a Wednesday, and I was nauseous for the next four days. I was also feeling anxious. That Sunday night, I experienced 3 panic attacks; hyperventilation, numbness/tingling in arms and legs, accelerated heart rate, sweaty palms...I actually went to the the er thinking that I was having a heart attack. After a bunch of expensive tests, everything came up normal. I think that it was the Yasmin. I'm starting a new medication ASAP.
