I've been on Topamax for about a month now for daily headaches/migraines with 50mg/day and will be moving up to 100mg/day in the next few weeks. So far I have noticed the tingly hands and the nausea but the worst is the dry lips and how every beverage tastes either flat or odd. The only thing that tastes good is water and I can't get enough of it because I am always thirsty. My urine has turned a bright yellow, which I noticed no one else has reported so I'm a little concerned about that. However the headaches and migraines due seem to be improving so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I've been on the generic Wellbutrin for around 5 years. When I started it, no real side effects. About a month ago, I had what I think was a panic attack. This was the second one, the first happened about 3 years ago. Anyway, I had racing heart, dizziness, a feeling of a lump in my throat, tingling hands and feet and chest pressure. I thought I was having a heart attack, but a holter monitor and stress test showed my heart is fine. I think it was the Bupiron. I am weaning off, and still have most of those symptoms, though much less. I can't wait to be off of this. It helped for a while but has nearly paralyzed my life for the past month.

I take topamax for migraines. I'm still feeling this out. When I first started about 2 months ago I went through all kinds of crazy symptoms. My husband thought I was loosing it. For some reason my doctor wanted to start me out right away with about 50 in am and 50 at night. The first month was rough.
I read the pamplets and took myself down to a lower dose and worked up slower as the company suggest. I not only had tingly hands and extremties.
But outburst of weeping and anger like never before. Like triple the pms symptoms. There were just all kinds of weird things. In this 2nd month I am taking 100 in the am and 25-50 in the evening. I am now experiencing the acne, itchy skin, inability to concentrate, apathy. Insomnia. In general I don't get chronic headaches. But have yet to see menstrual migraines subside. Sill feeling my way through this. You cannot stop this med abruptly. As many meds. Do not tell you how dangerous they are to stop abruptly. I think every one is individual. Soda's are not flat for me, but enhanced. More carbonated. Which I like. Strange I know.

I took my first dose at 9:30pm and an hour later felt wierd and a little shaky for two hours. The second day I took it at 10pm and by 11, I was shaking, cold tingly hands and feet, dizzy, throat swelling at the base inside out, breathing trouble, chest pain and heart palps, diareah, stomach pain, and my forehead was numb. By 4am I had to wake up my husband to rush me to the ER. I could not walk by myself... felt like I was going to black out. I still felt most of the symptoms only milder for the next few days.

I started topamax on Tuesday for bipolar disorder. My pdoc started me on 50 mg and I took one in the am and got really sleepy so I cut back to 25 mg at night and went back to 50 mg on the weekend. I was surprised to feel the effects the first day. I thought I had gotten a flat pepsi at lunch and then realized that my tastes had already been effected. I got the tingly hands and have noticed that my leg muscles have been twitching some. The very first day I felt like I was in a fog and I definitely don't want to feel dumb. I'm hoping that cutting back and titrating up more slowly, as well as taking the medicine at night will help. The side effects I can stand as I withstood 6 months on Accutane for acne which was waaayyy worse.

Oh my goodness. I am so glad to be able to read your posts on doxy. I am taking 100mg twice/day for third bout of lyme disease. The first two times on doxy were not a problem. You know what they say .. third time is a charm.
Anyway, two days after starting the doxy my hands got numb/tingly and drove me crazy (very hard to fly fish with tingly hands). Then it was my feet and right cheek. I noticed that despite being covered up and using sunscreen that any sun now on my hands makes them start tingling.
It is now one week since the start of the pills and I do notice these symptoms going away - good thing too.

Hi,

I was on Yasmin for one month. Towards the last couple of weeks i started having a TERRIBLE time sleeping, i was having anxiety attacks at night, breathing was difficult, shortness of breath. I was awake ALL night long! After reading this board, i am positive that it is from this Yasmin!! I also had the tingly hands and arms at night. I took it at bedtime. The pack ended last week, I was suppose to start a new pack this Sunday, but opted to stop using it. Does anyone know how long these side effects seem to last after stopping this pill? I'm sure it's in my system somewhat still, I had trouble sleeping again last night. I HOPE this ends soon! I've never had problems like this before, so it has to be related!

Thanks! Please let me know how long before I should feel normal again!
