I have also had a lot of "unexplained" symptoms for the past six months, or so that's when things have really gotten out of control. I have been on the Nuvaring for almost 5 years. Recently, I started having these shooting pains in my uterus and ovaries. With all of the stinging and pulling sensations, I seriously thought I was pregnant. Now, the most recent occurences are the backaches, hip/side burning, and thigh-to-toe cramps. My doctor told me it was a viral infection, but after reading these posts, I'm seriously doubting that. I'm not sure if I should relate this to my headaches or not because I've been having them so long, I can't remember if I was having them before or after the NuvaRing. As for the ladies experiencing the nausea, I found this article . I don't know how valid the information is, but I'm going to try it to see if reduces the "morning sickness" feelings all day long. Thank you for helping me stop feeling like a hypochondriac. I know my family and friends see me as one now.

I have allergic asthma/copd. I use 2 inhalers: Pulmicort and Spiriva. A recent visit to Ga. with exposure to the acrid smell of the smoke from the forest fires affected my breathing terribly.
Took Singulair for 10 days. My breathing vastly improved. However, on the 11th day, I awoke with severe leg cramps, toe cramps, and the beginning of a rectal irritation. Are these things a common occurence and why are they not mentioned in the official side effects listed.
I have stopped taking the Singulair. Is anyone else having these problems?

I thought it was me or my shoe heels, but for the past few months I've been getting awful foot and toe cramps almost daily. Thanks guys. Now I know it's the Maxide I've been taking. Surprisingly, I haven't taken the Maxide for the last two weeks and I haven't experience one cramp. Now I'm antsy about taking it again, but I'll lose weight if I do!! Thanks again!!

Grateful to find this page! I'm having the strange experience of muscle cramping after 3 months on Yasmin. The first month I spotted every day (but assured this passes and it has the past two months) and nothing else. Towards the end of the second I had finger and toe cramps (you know, where they pull together). This month I'm having leg cramps as well - especially when I stretch, the calves, feet or thighs tighten up. Painful! I'm not sure what to do. Mentally I'm feeling stable - sleeping well, no anxiety - but I'm so glad I've read this is something which might occur after I quit taking them!

I too suffered tremendous leg and toe cramps with advair 250/50. Two doctors both agreed it was the blood pressure medicine I was taking (a diuretic). They recommended that I take potassium pills (OTC) to replace the electrolytes lost. The cramps did subside, usually when I took 6-8 potassium pills....it looked like they were correct.....however, I ran out of Advair so I resumed taking Azmacort until I could get my Advair Rx refilled. Guess what, I stopped taking the potassium & I didn't have any cramps !...it had to be the Advair, not the blood pressure medicine! It's amazing how doctors can be so naive about this!

I am glad to hear that CBS is looking into Lipitor. My feeling is that the posts that you read on this board are just the tip of the iceberg. For every one post here there are probably, at least, 10,000 others with similar symptoms. At some point there has to be a class action suit against these drug companies

I posted #5174 back in April. At that time my lower back was killing me. After stopping Lipitor the worst of the back pain went away. Unfortunately, there still is a constant low-level of pain. I am afraid that the Lipitor has done permanent damage. Also, the tininitus is still in my left ear.

Aside from the constant low back pain and the tininitus the muscle aches, toe cramps, and joint pain have gone away.

I started with Lipitor around 1998 or 99. Initially it was 10mg and now it is 40mg. For the last year or so I have had constant lower back pain. I thought perhaps that it was a gym injury but it never heals. Also, I sometimes have aching joints and general tiredness, along with tingling in the extremities and occasional toe cramps. One thing that I have not seen anyone else mention is tinnitus. One morning about 2 years ago I woke up and was wondering what that noise was. Unfortunately, it is in my left ear.

Anyway, since there has been no family history of heart trouble and, other than high cholestriol levels, my health at age 54 is excellent, I have decided to stop the Lipitor. Hopefully, after a few months my body will recover and start to feel "normal" again.

I took 250 mgs for a foot problem. It was not getting well so I went to 500 mgs. My foot is better today but I haven't slept in 2 nights and my leg jerks all nite keeping my husband awake. I also had toe cramps where my toes stood up. scarey. So I have gone back to the 250mg. Only because I need to get my foot well.
