I had been on Aciphex for about 4 years because Nexium, Prilosec, and all the other meds did not help my heartburn. I started having problems wtth my bowels, I thought I had IBS but with the diarrhea effects. It was so bad some days that I could not drive to work. I would have strong urges to go to the bathroom which literally gave me less than a minute to find a toilet. I never thought it would be the Aciphex. I recently switched to Zegerid and have not experienced quite the problems I had in the past. Last night I took my 1 remaining Aciphex and this morning the problems returned. I am sure now that the Aciphex has something to do with it. I am wondering if there is any long term damage/effects from it.

My little sister has gotten pregnant with the Mirena inside. They don't know if it is tubular or not. I just found out that not only will she probably miscarry, but she could get a dangerous infection or die. If you're considering using Mirena don't. Out of the all the women to use this product my sister won the UNLUCKY LOTTERY.
This product was awful from the beginning. First it got put in, painfully so, then it fell out, then it had to be put back in, and months later she gets pregnant with it inside. She probably will miscarry, or the baby could come of deformed if the Mirena pokes and jabs the baby from the inside. It could pop the sac early and it could be dangerously premature.
Do you want to have sex SOOOO bad that you would risk going through this? You could die, this product will miscarry your baby if you get pregnant while using it, and obviously it moves around too much. It lets sperm get through anyway.
SIDE EFFECTS: Miscarriage, headache, nausea, stomach pains, sadness/depression, surgery, infection, severe pain, heartache, loss, anger, emotional distress, and the list goes on.
Don't use this product. Use regular birth control pills, condoms, and abstinence- whatever it takes except this product. It's practically another form of abortion because this product lets you become pregnant and then it kills it. Don't risk your life or your baby's.

I was on Prednisone a couple years ago and it gave me severe insomnia, I ended up tapering as quickly as possible, I was so wired I couldn't function. My son was started on it today, and I was a bit worried about letting him take it, he has asthma and is in the middle of a flare up that started 5 days ago and isn't getting much better. So we started the Prednisone tonight, and within an hour he almost had an accident with diarrhea which is not like him at all, he is a 30 minute on the toilet taking his time kind of boy. Now I'm worried it's going to be a long night, and worry that tomorrow nights dose will be worse?

my name is Brittany and i have had my mirena since around February 2009 and at first i had some severe pain for a few days and bleeding non-stop for about three months.. but other than that for the first two months I had no problems or complaints! i thought it was the best idea any could have thought of! But i was so wrong..the constant UTI's and Yeast infections are unbearable! I have never had a yeast infection or this many UTI's in my life! I have a feeling it is due to the mirena! I'm completely uncomfortable all the time and can't wait for it to get removed! I would never recommend this to anyone!!! yea i didn't get pregnant, but i'd rather have 20 kids then be in the uncomfort that i am in! Also, I am now on zoloft and an anti-anxiety med! i have never had any of these problems before this and im hoping they will all go away! plus the oily skin and acne!! omg!! i had the most perfect skin and now i can't even walk out of the house without make-up on! Mirena is not for me!

I have been on Lithium Carbonate (1800 mg/day) for over 4 years. Lived with diarrhea, acne, tremors, etc. throughout, but otherwise loved the drug. After filling toilet with blood several times last week, I went into the hospital. Colonoscopy & endoscoopy revealed severe diverticulosis and severe Barrett's esophagus, respectively. All involved are shaking their heads, as these tests were relatively normal 3 years ago. I suspect Lithium.

I have been on Yasmin for just over 2 weeks now. My hair has been falling out, my skin has dried out really bad....I keep getting gastritis type feelings. My tummy keeps feeling like it is bubbling inside. And the nausea is indescribable!!! I run to the toilet at least twice every hour but am never sick!!!! If I don't eat, I feel sick. If I eat I feel even more sick. Then if I eat again I feel fine, then when I stop eating I feel sick.
This is the 3rd pill I have been on. Microgynon 30, Loestrin 20 and now Yasmin. I was told Yasmin was the best but now I am very concerned having read all of the above comments!!!!
I keep telling myself I am going to give it the 3 month trial but I'm half tempted not to.
I would not recommend this pill. Nor would I NOT recommend this pill. I think it's just the luck of the draw. Good luck to anyone.
The pill is crap!!! But in a long term relationship its just easier... no worry about getting pregnant. lol

EFFFF Levoxyl!!! My life has been really, really difficult since being on this medication. Reading all of your posts truly makes me feel like I am not alone in my struggle, anger, and frustration! If we could only sit in a room and talk about this face to face, how much better we might all feel. I think there needs to be thyroid support groups. Does anyone know of any?
I went back on Levoxyl about 2 months ago, because I was feeling tired again. I took myself off of it a year ago because I felt like I didn't need it anymore. I wasn't feeling great being on it and I had given myself a year on it already. Which by the way was a year from hell. I experienced depression for the first time in my life, gained about 20 lbs. from binge eating (never had an eating disorder or weight problem in my life), was fatigued constantly, then blamed myself for being so lazy all the time, lost friends because I canceled soooo much on hanging out, "I'm really sorry but I'm just not feeling good." Yeah that excuse gets really old to people with a normal functioning endocrine gland. Mind you I was diagnosed with this at 23. Sure I am mad that I have this problem, but when I am trying to get myself well and take the steps necessary per my doctor, it's really frustrating to just not feel like yourself. During the year off of it I took a natural thyroid support. Feeling fine, I slacked on taking the support thinking I had kick started my thyroid.
Two months of being back on it and I'm done! In a moment of emotional anger I threw my Levoxyl pills in the toilet. You know what they did...expanded to the size of a bazooka joe bubble gum piece. Uh that's big considering it's such a small pill.
I went to my doctor today because I've been experiencing bloating, pain and constipation for 3 weeks now. He told me to drink coffee and take benefiber, because perhaps I'm not getting enough ruffage in my diet. Just to see if I'm crazy about the expanding pill, I dropped an advil and tylenol in there. They simply fizzled down. I think these meds are making me bloated etc. and it's not worth it to me to feel this way. My body is telling me something is wrong and I need to listen!!
I eat right, take vitamins, drink PLENTY of water etc. and I still feel crummy.
I have been doing research online and have found a product called IODORAL. It is Iodine and Potassium Iodide. I have read many posts from people stating that this product has given them energy, helped with fatigue, their memory, overall well being. What was shocking for me learn is that Iodine helps fibristic breast tissue along with other parts of the body. Did you all know that 30 years ago breast cancer affected 1 in 20 women, and now it's 1 in 8 ???! Iodine used to be part of our diets. It has since been depleted from our soils and other foods. Bread used to be made with Iodine. Now Bromine is used in the baking process. Did you know that Bromine blocks the thyroid from producing necessary hormones for function. I bought myself some IODORAL and I'm going to see if it works. I am not a doctor but I am a person who is very in tune with their body. The bible says that there IS A CURE for everything on earth. I pray that all of you who have posted on here and are in discomfort do not give up your hope and find a different doctor or start doing your own research and be your own advocate for your health. There has to be something better out there! Something that isn't hurting our bodies! I am not giving up hope yet and neither should you!

For the past few days I have been getting extremely bad headaches, to the point that it makes me cry! So I took 2 excedrin migraines and a few hrs. later I began to get extremely nauseous, shacky, disorientated, and my heart started to beat really fast. Before I knew it I was slouched over the toilet vomiting! I then recalled the same thing happening to me a few months ago when i took excedrin migraines for a very intense migraine i had. I am never going to take those pills again. I dont want to push my luck andend up worse then I already have!

My local hospital prescribed Avelox for a sinus infection since Amoxicillin wasn't working. My fever jumped up to 102 the first 2 days so I called my family doctor. He told me to keep taking the meds for 2 more days and if my fever persisted to call him back. I experienced the high fever on day 3 and then was in a world of shock when I took the 4th pill. My body went numb, I was speaking but had no idea what I was saying, dizzy, the fever subsided during the day but spiked back up to 102 that night and I was very irritable. I made a doctors appointment the next day and the doctor told me to take the meds at night and I wouldn't have those reactions. After reading these comments and my day 4 episode, I had it in my head that I was not going to take any more pills. Then I called a nurse friend who assured me that it wasn't the antibiotic making me feel that way.....it was the extra strength Tylenol. She advised me to take the pill. I took the pill and not two hours later, my body went numb, I became dizzy, my tendons in my right knee and left foot swelled and I couldn't sleep. After my body went numb, I took the rest of the pills and flushed them down the toilet. I'm still feeling the affects of the pills and it's been 2 days. I've been swallowing gallons of water to flush it out of my system. I lost an entire week of work and pretty much my normal life. I'd much rather have sinus pressure in my head then deal with these side effects.

My son was put onto 4mg Singulair when he was three years old. He is now six years old. For the past three years he has been a very quiet child, to the point that people commented on how shy and withdrawn he was. He never wanted to go anywhere or do anything. His favorite activity was lying on the couch watching tv. He was always thirsty, frequently went to the toilet, often complained of a sore stomach & had several bowel movements every day, did not sleep well at night, was often grumpy, could not concentrate for very long, was frequently ill with cold-like symptoms and did not really like you to touch/hug him. At the beginning of the year he was diagnosed by an occupational therapist as having low muscle tone. In March of this year, his pediatrician increased his singulair to 5mg. He began having terrible pains in his legs, to the point that he would cry and be unable to walk to the toilet at night. I took him to my GP who did every blood test under the sun and x rays of his pelvis and legs. He could find nothing wrong. The only thing that had changed was the increase in Singulair. I had a look on the internet and found this website. I immediately decreased his dose to 1/2 a tablet for a week and then 1/4 tablet for a week before taking him completely off it. Within a few days our whole family and his teacher and therapist noticed a huge change in his personality! He talks all the time now, he laughs a lot, he loves playing outside and has lots of energy. He teacher says he is much more receptive at school. His occupational therapist says his muscle tone has improved. He has not had one single leg pain since coming off the medication. He is sleeping well at night, his stomach is never sore and he has not been sick at all. Not even one little sniffle!! Best of all he is a normal, affectionate little boy. I feel very angry with the manufacturers of Singulair and with his pediatrician, it feels as though my son has lost three years of being a child. He felt terrible all the time and I had no idea! I have told everyone I know who has a child on singulair to look at the side effects.

have taken 80mg of omeprazole for years without any side effects. it controls my diarrhea and prevents me constantly running to the toilet. as soon as i stop it i get ibd, and after staying off it for a year ended up having half my bowel surgically removed. it is harmless to me. all this talk of bowel flora etc has to be weighed against the protective effect it has on the mucosa of the stomach and entire digestive tract. yes maybe there are more pathogens running round but the defenses are also much greater.

I am a 32 female and on my third day of taking Avelox and its driving me crazy. I haven't slept nearly two days. I am so tired and I haven't been able to eat anything as well because as soon as I put food in my stomach it doesn't want to stay long. I am also so bloated and very jittery and have very bad mood swings and very irritated with things. I haven't been able to do anything I have no energy and as soon as I would stand up I have to sit back down because I get so dizzy and light headed and ready to faint and then vomit. I have been doing that as well. Ive called my doctor and told me to continue to take the med and they are just side effects that will go away in time. Well I can say that these pills made there way into the toilet and are washed away somewhere. And I cant believe that I would spend the amount of money on these pills $120.00 to feel the way that I do. My eyes burn and also cant stand the sunlight. Its summer time and I love being outside and cant. I haven't experienced depression yet and don't plan on it. I guess I will just let this runs its course and eat plenty of chicken noodle soup. I know the next time the doctor wants to prescribe this med for me I am just going to come out and say I AM ALLERGIC to it.. Does it count that since ive been on it that my nose has been itchy and my hair feels like its crawling and I always bite my lip now..I wouldn't advice anyone to take this medicine. Its not worth being more sick then you already are and I am right there with everyone else if there is a lawy suite against this drug I am right there with it

I had the Mirena inserted the first time in May08, within two months it fell out or rather cramped out. I had been having really bad cramps, I felt bleeding so I sat on the toilet, had a really bad cramp and afterwards the mirena came out. Before then during sex my husband had been complaining of feeling the strings sticking him. I explained all of this to my dr. who told me he would check and see if maybe my uterus was tilted or perhaps it was defective. I had it replaced and have had no better periods, feelings of anxiety, mood swings and low to no sex drive. I have had breakout periods since I had it (1st and 2nd times) inserted and have bled every time after sex. My husband thought the side effects weren't worth it. Unfortunately, I had no time make a decision on keeping it or getting rid of it. During our vacation it cramped out again. So I'll get checked when I return home and will be looking at other alternatives. Mirena just wasn"t for me.

I started taking Singulair 6 months ago. My allergies even with medication and immunotherapy were becoming unmanageable. My larynx would swell up and close my throat and make breathing difficult. I had trouble breathing at night laying down to sleep, my voice was hoarse most of the time. Within 2 days after starting Singulair, those symptoms totally disappeared. I thought it was the answer I had been looking for. I've had a lot real problems in the past few months with crying and sadness, but with my Mom in hospice with Alzheimer for 14 years, and my father breaking both hips last year, my mother-in-law with vascular dementia, and an insulin defendant diabetic, and losing my job due to outsourcing, and other stressors in my life, but II thought my sadness was all of this stress. Counseling wasn't really helping and I've got a new counselor now. In the past couple of months, my mental state has become more and more fragile; I have times that I wish I could go to sleep and wake up in a couple of months or just go somewhere and be left alone. I am angered easily; I have always been happy and easy-going. I cry daily and don't get out much, and I'm afraid of the unknown now. I feel like my self-esteem is in the toilet.
Tonight I have stopped the Singulair. I'm afraid because I know the allergy problems will return, but I'm hoping that I'll be able to manage them somehow. I have 'a lot on my plate' right now, but at least if I stop the Singulair and I feel better mentally I'll know it was the drug and not my life.

I was prescribe the 5 day course by my doctor for a bad sinus infection, I took the first 2 pills with a meal and plenty of water on the first evening. By noon the next day I was having very, very bad diarrhea and cramps. They continued for several hours then by the evening the diarrhea was gone.
I took the second day's pill with dinner again last night. I had a much better night with little fever or sweating that had made me so miserable the previous 3 days. When I woke I felt much better until the diarrhea kicked in again. I am afraid to get more than a few feet from the toilet because of the suddenness of the cramps. I don't know if I will take another dose or not I certainly feel better but I'm not sure my rectun is up to the stress of a third bout of diarrhea!

Has anyone out there who has been on lisinopril gotten very sore tender breasts? I recently increased the dose from 10mg. to 15 mg. because my BP was getting higher and it seems like I've had this stinging aching sensation in my breasts since then? I've also had a tickling cough since I've been on it--worse at night.

My experience with Yaz was short lived! My doc put me on Femcon Fe first, and after a month of non stop bleeding and zero sex drive I told her I wanted something else, and she put me on Yaz. My sex drive did increase a bit, but it was still next to nothing compared to before I started taking the pill. After 5 months of Yaz I flushed them down the toilet and took myself off of it. I was extremely moody, felt severely depressed, had a low sex drive, weak orgasms, and no lubrication-thank God they make that stuff! Not to mention I gained about 20 pounds. I have been off it for about 6 months, but still have a low sex drive, weak orgasms, and don't lubricate. I asked my doc about this today and she said it could not be related to the pill because it is out of my system. I find it hard to believe that my body has done a 180, and the pill had nothing to do with it when none of this was happening to me before I was on it! I'm 26, and it's scary that I may have to deal with this for the rest of my life.

I just posted yesterday about my side effects and making a dr. appt., well I went in today to have it removed and they said it had gone up into my uterus and I now have to have surgery and be cut open because of it, I also may not be able to have any more children. This mirena has been a nightmare. The dr. I saw today, which wasn't the dr. that put it in, said he wont even put it in because of the side effects, which makes me mad because a dr. that works in the same practice there told me it was great and insisted it would not have any side effects and that there had never been any side effects. I am sooo stressed out about this, but want to thank you guys for your information, If I had not have found this sight and read this then I would still be getting bloodwork done trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with me!

Wow, finding this site was like finding light at the end of the dark tunnel. I was on Nuvaring for 3 months and during those first 3 months don't really recall experiencing any serious side effects besides any normal anxiety or stress from everyday life. But for the most part I was always able to get through anything somewhat difficult and stressful with a clear head. Well I had lost my medical insurance and so I stopped using it for about a month or so. I consulted my gynecologist and asked her to switch me to something else more affordable due to lack of insurance. She was going to prescribe me something like the pill for a 4$ RX from Walmart, but in the meantime gave me 3 samples/3 months worth of Nuvaring. On the first day of my period which was January 14th I put it in. These past two weeks I have been experiencing some serious depression and anxiety. Like most of the other testimonials, I have had serious mood swings, crying for no reason, negative for everything, the littlest task caused me anxiety, everything worried me, and just in general hating life. I couldn't think straight to save my life. I thought I was literally going insane. I was desperate for help, almost to the point of seeking therapy. I was ready for anything I had to go down the toilet. I was probably about to lose my job, my apartment, my car, maybe even the love of my life. FOR NO REASON. I started researching Nuvaring and remembered seeing the ad for the lawsuit. And after seeing this site and another site found some hope. Needless to say I took the ring out ASAP. I pray that this helps anyone feeling like I did, and that soon I will be back to normal.

Thank you! I have been experiencing the same problems you all have posted! My doctor said it was probably stress from the holidays and my recent move and prescribed me ulcer medication. After 2 weeks I started to feel better, but not completely normal yet. For a while I went without coffee because I thought I developed an acid reflux problem along with the vomiting and stomach cramps and diarrhea, and I was taking prilosec as suggested by my pharmacist. Things seem to be getting better, so I bought Lactaid Milk and the last few weeks have been experiencing gas again. I was beginning to think it was my low fat low calorie diet with artificial sweeteners. I stay away from Splenda, because that really gives me gas problems, but sweet in low is okay. Tonight my husband and I went and got frozen yogurt, I took a Lactaid Ultra with it and about 30 minutes later I was cramping and on the toilet with diarrhea and vomiting. After reading this site, I realized Lactaid has got to be the problem. For now I am going to stay away from as much dairy and non dairy stuff I can and never use the Lactaid again. Hopefully things will get better and I can have small amounts of dairy from time to time. I am only 28 and I feel like I am having all kinds of digestive changes. Is this normal? Thank you again for your comments!

I take Lamictal for seizures for 3 years. I had my first unexplained seizure at 25 and another 6 moths later. Both times I had drank heavily two nights in a row. After the second seizure I was put on the Lamictal. I was slowly ramped up to 100mg in the morning and 200mg at night. On occasion, I get horrible "poop pains" as I call them. It feels like my insides are being ripped apart. I can sit on the toilet and poop incredibly runny stool, then I have to wait up to 15 minutes for the second batch. The pain doesn't subside until the second batch but it is immediately gone. It usually only happens when I wake up in the middle of the night. I have tried to correlate it to foods that I have eaten and can't match anything up. I also have horrible short term memory. I sometimes tell the same person the same story twice and they will be like "you just told me that." Also, golfing is the best example. I have a hard time remembering my strokes. My long term memory is fine. As fair as hair loss, I was already on track to lose my hair before I was on the meds so I don't know if they made it any worse or if this is a natural progression. It seems somewhat rapid but I never loose it in quantities or clumps. I just notice it in my hats and beanies every once in a while. I also have a hard time falling asleep on occasion and if I wake up in the middle of the night I have troubles falling back asleep as well. The bottom line is that this drug WORKS. I can live with the side affects cause they are random and not that often. I am a volunteer Fireman and cannot risk loosing that again so I am too hestitant to change meds as the doctor said Lamictal has the least side affects of the seizure drugs.

I have been taking Biaxin XL 500mg for three days now for bronchitis. I have been sick to my stomache, I have had the runs, and the WORST taste in my mouth ever, no matter how much I brush my teeth or chew gum. Another shock came when I got my period. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and do NOT get a natural period. Unless I take birth control and induce a period, I do not get one. Plain and simple. While I wiped after peeing, I noticed that the wipe felt a bit 'slimey' (gross I know) I pulled the tissue up to see what was the matter, and there it was, a bloody mucous mixed with my urine, and what looked like they could be blood clots, in the toilet, however they looked more like balls of bloody phlegm. Doctor said, sit it out and keep it clean.
