I HATE MIRENA!

im 19 years old and i have had two children. i had the mirena put in jan. of 09. my doctor made it seem like such a great little invention.. but let me tell you its NOT! throughout the past 4 months i have had hair loss, been tired all the time, nausea, sinus infection after sinus infection and even a rash! and not to mention the terrible cramping and vaginal discharge! but thats just the physical symptoms. I have been extremely anxious and have been getting panic attacks, depression, i had to go to the ER 3 days ago for my anxiety and panic attacks. i have been sad for no reason and extremely moody! i thought this whole time that i was dying but then i realized that my life was great until i had the mirena put in so thats when i found this website which has really saved me!! im getting this horrible thing taken ou tomorrow and i would not recommend this too anybody!!!

Ive had my mirena in for 10 months. No problems at first. Light spotting no periods which i loved. I have very dry skin and have never had issues with acne but I have minor acne now, even my friends noticed my great completion was gone. I still wanted to keep it in regardless of this small skin flaw up until about 2 months ago. I would get dizzy spells. Then they would go away. I started getting anxiety, horrible which is something else ive never experienced! I feel like im outside of my body im so dizzy, cant drive have missed work and feel helpless. so glad others blog about there experience. im obviously not the only one! Its not worth it, Im getting it removed tomorrow which cost $160. Getting it inserted wasn't painful at all so im hope this wont be either. Its done in office. All i want to do is be me again. This thing is being rejected by my body and must go. However on the flip side my best friend has the mirena as well and had no side effects. It just depends on your body. All i wanted was to be sure i wouldn't get pregnant but id rather endure labor pains than feel like my life is spinning out of control and i don't even know who i am anymore? Good luck to all. I had mirena inserted in August of 2008, i bleed continuously for about two months after that my periods was really heavy. For me there was no hair loss, just stomach cramps and now i feeling like i'm pregnant, nausea also like morning sickness, but my thing is how can i be pregnant and this IUD is suppose to last for 5yrs. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow and will post an update.

Like someone said maybe its time foe a lawsuit against mirena.

I am 67 yo male. have had angioplasties, 2 way by pass , right carotid cleaned out, aterial fibrulation , pacemaker ,have had tinnitus most of my adult life and take many meds. My cardiologist put me on lisinopril again (don't remember why it was discontinued before). Thanks to this site I am understanding the unusual things going on with my body. Sweats, blood red face, terrible ringing in ears, sweaty stinky feet/ jock rash, cough, stuffed up sinus, runny nose, and the heavy chest, shortness of breath and chest pain. After taking this med for 2 weeks had scheduled pace maker check up and mentioned symptoms. Tech ignored my concerns. Will call my pcp tomorrow and get the low down.

THE MIRENA HAS RUINED MY LIFE. AFTER 2 YEARS OF HELL, I HAD IT REMOVED, THEN I STARTED YAZ BUT I HAVE NOT HAD MY PERIOD YET SINCE I HAD THE MIRENA REMOVED 3 MONTHS AGO. IM ALWAYS THINKING IM PREGNANT BUT THE TEST ALWAYS COME OUT NEGATIVE. WHEN WILL I GET MY PERIOD? IM TIRED OF THINKING IM PREGNANT WHEN IM NOT. WHATS WRONG WITH ME? BY THE WAY DID I MENTION I GOT OVARIAN CYSTS BECAUSE OF THE MIRENA. I NOW STOPPED TAKING BIRTH CONTROLS SINCE MY HUSBAND IS AWAY WORKING AND I DON'T NEED BIRTH CONTROL. IM STILL WAITING FOR MY PERIOD TO COME. I HOPE I AM NOT GOING THROUGH EARLY MENOPAUSE. IM ONLY 27 YEARS OLD. IVE HEARD ONE OF THE SIDE EFFECTS OF IUDS IS EARLY MENOPAUSE.

I have been taking 40 mg of omeprazole for 6 weeks now have had constipation since ı started taking it and also itchy skin around the armpits and groin area. Just 2 days ago have had severe dizziness while sleeping the whole room was spinning around its the first time this has happened to me called my doctor to see what ı should do he gave me an appointment tomorrow in the meantime the nurse suggested for me to take 20 mg and see how ı get on wıth that. I have had stomach bleeding which was the reason these drugs where prescribed but they seem to be heavy burden on the system cant wait to come off them.

I am still experiencing hot flushes even though I am post menopausal. I reckon it could be down to the Lisinopril pills. My dose has been doubled to 20mg from 10mg. Could this be the case? Has anyone else had these symptoms?

I am 44 years old, and I have high blood pressure for 4 years now. 6 months ago my doctor put me on LISINOPRIL (10 mg), it was ok for the first two month's then one day I noticed my hair started falling out little-by-little every time I would washed it. I also am forgetting things that i am supposed to do or I can't seem to remember where i put things, I also have been having anxiety feelings sometimes when I am shopping; I want to leave the store. My throat has been hurting and i have to urinate often. I am getting headache's. I went to my doctor I thought it could be stress or maybe a thyroid problem, I had test done and everything came back normal. My doctor told me it was stress. The symptoms are not going away. Today I decided to see if it could have something to do with my medication I have been taking. So I logged on to side effect of LISINOPRIL I could not believe it, there it was in your e-mail my symptoms. You don't know how relieved I was, I finally found out what was wrong with me. I Have never experienced any problem's, I have always been healthy and happy! So i know it is the side effects of LISINOPRIL, I am seeing my doctor tomorrow and changing my medication. I was finally diagnosed with add last November. The doctor tried me on Straterra. It made me tired all the time and emotional. Next we tried Concerta. That made me agitated and irritable, So then we finally got around to adderall. It worked, yay! 10mg 3xday did nothing for me, so the next time I went to my pdoc I told her. So she upped my dosage to 20mg in the am, 10mg at noon, and 10mg in the pm. I did not understand this. I tried this for a few days and guess what? I did okay in the am, but the noon and pm dose were useless. So I took it upon myself to just go ahead and take 20mg 3xday. Only side effects were dry mouth and appetite reduction. I ran out a week early, but no biggie, I was prepared for the consequences,
So the next time, I see my pdoc (new one this time), I tell her what I'd done and I felt that 20mg 3xday was right for me. She recommended adderall xr30mg in the am and 20 regular adderall in the pm. I decided to go ahead and try it, figuring xr is the same stuff in a time released form.
Oh how wrong was I! Side effects started with headache, then drowsiness to the point I had to take a nap. I've been becoming more and more emotional and irritable since I've been taking it (2 weeks now).
Earlier tonight I had an episode that could have turned into a bad panic attack. Luckily, though, I got to my clonezapam before I got too far out of control.
I just don't understand how the (supposed) same drug in a different form could have such different side effects. I was going to continue with the xr, hoping the bad side effects would diminish in time, but after tonight, I think I will flush them.
Has anyone else had the same or similar experience?

So I started taking YASMIN in December 07. I switched to YAZ in January 08 and just quit a week ago. So about 4 months of bc. A week ago, I broke out in hives and rashes. I would itch one spot and then others would form. The areas get hot and the welts raise up my skin. It started when I was out in the sun but it couldn't have been sun poisoning because I never got burnt. I am diagnosing myself rather than a doctor because they do NOT know everything. After reading into the YAZ and YASMIN side effects, I am not risking anymore problems. Oh and I got an upper respitory infection along with the rash. This lingering cough has a weaze and phligmy sound. My friends are concerned with it too. I have never been the type of person to suffer from any major sickness or skin problem. I am tough skinned and have never gotten any kind of food allergy. I am 24, 5'6'' and in semi-athletic shape. I am an actor and model and I cannot afford to get rashes and a bad horsey cough! YAZ was great for 2 months and now bam! Downfall happening. Temporary relief-cortozone cream and antihistamines like benadryl.
YAZ benefit-clear skin, no PMS
YAZ side effect-rash, no sex drive/libido loss, difficult/no orgasm, appetite like a hog! Food #1 thought. Packed on pounds quick.
YASMIN benefit-clear skin, lost weight quick
YASMIN side effect- a little loopy, speech impediment, no sex drive/libido loss, no orgasm, couldn't even fake an orgasm!

I started taking Yasmin about 5 weeks ago. The whole time I have been on Yasmin I have spotted. I have also been an emotional wreck. I'm either constantly screaming or crying. After I finished my first pack of Yasmin, I went 3 days and started my period. That was over a week ago and although I am on day 8 of my second pack, I am STILL bleeding. I am calling my OBGYN tomorrow to see what can be done. Is this normal?

I love the NuvaRing. All in all, it has been great. It took a few months to get over headaches and nausea, but I finally did.

The problem, however, just started last Monday. I switched to a 28 day in, 7 day out schedule. On day 21 (my former removal day), I started spotting. Then it progressed to heavy bleeding. It is now day 6, and I haven't stopped. I am due to remove the ring tomorrow for a 7 day break, and I hope I won't bleed then, too. I am so weak and tired; I've been taking iron supplements to help with the blood loss and anemia. I hope my cycle balances out, and this doesn't happen again! It's been frightening.

I HAVE BEEN ON YAZ FOR A MONTH NOW, WELL I AM FIXING TO TAKE MY 1ST INACTIVE PILL TOMORROW. FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS I HAVE JUST HAD AN AWFUL SMELL TO ME DOWN THERE, I AM A VERY CLEAN PERSON. NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE & IT IS JUST SOO STRONG I CANT GET RID OF IT. & I'VE BEEN HAVING AWFULLY BAD DISCHARGE.. HAS ANY ONE ELSE ON YAZ HAD THIS PROBLEM? I THINK I AM GOING TO STOP TAKING IT FOR A MONTH AND SEE IT THATS IT!

I have been on Omeprazole for the past 2 years, the drug makes you become dependant on it because of the recurring heartburn if you dont take it. I dont get to many side effects from it, but every 2 weeks I get a killer stomach ache for about 24 hours. I plan on stop taking this drug tommorrow, alot of tums will be in my future.

I too have been affected by this so called medicine, I feel like I am being used as a quinea pig. The second day after taking it (for a kidney infection) I felt like I had some strange flu because of the aches and pains. I felt as I continued to take Levaquin like I was getting worse and I feared something was really wrong with me. I started to suspect it was the Levaquin so I mentioned it to my chiropractor and he looked it up and he told me the side affects and told me to immediately stop taking it and call my primary doctor. After my chiropractor adjusted me I felt a little better so maybe that can help some of you.
Next, I tried to call my doctor and did not get a call back, that was odd to me. Doctors are supposed to help us not use us for testing. I am swollen and I have aches,itching,electric shock sensations, & I feel out of it. Who knows what tommorrow will bring. My advice is drink a ton of water to flush it out of your system and take lots of vitamin C.
I hope all of you begin to feel yourselves soon. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. May the Lord bless us that we may be able to endure this and that we can find help for us & others.

I would like to know how long does singulair stay in system? I have taken 3 days worth 10mg and I need to take ua tommorrow just wandering what would show up

I am going crazy.. my third shot this thursday... hummm do I wanna stop... ??? My biggest compliant is my face is red and blotchy and puffy around my eyes it hurts.. I cannot go out.. I am suppose to be looking for a job but am not into that at all.. other side effects I have noticed is Headaches. But my face is my biggest compliant it burns surprisingly, I tried to put Lubriderm lotion, sunburn medicine, but that made it tingle and feel hot burn.. My skin on my face feels so harsh... it is hard to explain. kinda feels tightness in my face .. I am very fair skinned and usually my face is so soft... My eyes feel so drained... I started getting blotchy on my first shot believe it or not but it went away in a day and now it is back but we are going on two days, We will see what happens tommorrow....Also I was told I am more nervous and driving everyone crazy.. I feel like I am in a dream..

I'm 29, slightly overweight. I've been on the 20mg lisinopril for about 8 months now. Initially I only had moderate fatigue, which I took as a reasonable trade-off for a lower BP. About two weeks ago, however, I started having the worst dry cough ever, and I'm so tired and hurtin' that I feel like I just sparred with Mike Tyson (and I'm not a boxer). I don't know if my body finally reached a "saturation point" with this stuff... Thank you all for this forum, it's been a godsend. My doctor gets a visit tommorrow, and I will demand answers for why he didn't give me a low side-effect medicine but put me on this rat poison instead!

had a good over all experience with this drug...100 mg, once per day...was anxious..and zoning out at work, and i have a history of depression...so my dr. suggested i give this a try....I can concentrate more at work..and feel fine, sleeping better too....BUT..the sexual side effect for me is too much...I can achieve an erection..but no sensitivity....no orgasm!....gonna call the doc tommorrow and ask if she has an alternative....

White male, 34 yrs of age, prescribed levaquin for respiratory infection. 500 mg SID (once daily) for 9 days.

As of tommorrow will have been off Levaquin for 7 days. Experiencing joint pain in both knees, neck and a old shin splint.

I consider my self to be in good shape, exercising on a regular basis. But now, just walking down the street and climbing stairs is a chore. I wake up during the night with a great deal of discomfort in most joints.
