Topamaz symptoms and conditions

i have been on topamax for a year now and the side effects change from time to time.but the worst is the taste of copper in my mouth at times or the headaches i just wish there was a medicine that didn't give all these side effects

I took 75mg of Topamaz for 3 1/2 months for my chronic migraines. The side affects for me were nearly as bad as the headaches: I lost 17 pounds, tingling in my toes and fingers, tiredness, food intolerances, and still had the headaches. I went off the Topamax 2 months ago and thought I was going to be OK. But last week, I developed appendicitis and had my appendix taken out by emergency surgery. I am curious if any other patient has had appendicitis but just didnt relate it to the Topamax.

I've been on Topamax twice now for migraines. I went off of it the first time b/c I didn't think the side effects were worth it. As soon as I stopped taking it... my migraines came back. Now I'm on Topamaz again... and I can't decide what's worse.. the medicine or the migraines... especially after reading all of this. And what's really interesting... is that the second time around my side effects are different and I'm taking the same dose! I can drink carbonated beverages this time (which I couldn't do before), but I'm experiencing a lot of neck pain. And I have very sore, swollen knuckles this time. Mine are red and have strange bumps on them. Has anyone else had this???

I have been taking Topamaz spinkles (30mg a day) for 3 months. I can't tolerate higher doasages. Migranes have lessened in intensity, although I still have a least 2 a week. I have toruble with my memory and hair loss. I have had a slight wt loss. I have no sex drive. Food does not interest me.
I started taking topamax because migranes were interferring with school. Catch 22 - I failed last semister due poor recall. I am taking myself off topamax. I may have migranes, but at least I will enjoy sex.

Just started, and reading all these post, eeeeekkkkkkkk. I have mig everyday, and just want help. Is there any one with a good experince on topamaz? I mean really? SHouldnt there be people that it help's?
