Torn calf muscle symptoms and conditions

I am 51 and very athletic and in admiral shape. 3 months ago, I began on Lipitor for cholesterol control. I just tore a calf muscle. Coincidence? I'm going off Lipitor until I know for sure. At the time of the muscle tear, myself and my muscles were warmed up. I didn't do anything harsh to provoke a tear. That's what scares me. It just went rip.

I've been on warfarin since april due to a torn calf muscle injury that developed a DVT. Yes, I have seen several side effects, but after getting off the drug now for two weeks, I find out today at my yearly physical that I now have diabetes? I am 57 years old and hopefully can control this with diet only. Has anyone else heard of diabetes as a possible side effect?
