Hi, I have been on 100mg of TP now for a year. I am 48 yoa, male and in ok shape otherwise. I was put on this drug for a fast heart rate. 145 - 160 at rest. I also have had all of the other side effects as every one else. I am just wandering if any male on this drug has used any ED drugs. I have been putting off the trip to the doc to ask. I would love to here from any one that has tried any of the ED drugs.
Terry.

I have been on Tp xl 50 mg for 6 years. I have had several issues through the years that I never thought the Tp was affecting. My throat has been sore for a year, I am tired alllll the time, moody and even worse at that time of the month, my left shouder has hurt for years and I never associated it with my meds, until now. I have NO SEX drive at all, poor hubby. My BP is good however when working out, Cardio my heart rate stays at 95. I have gained a 100 lbs in the 6 years I have been on TP and I am very moody. I never can finish sentence because I am always trying to come up with words to fill my sentences. Still I never thought this was cause of Tp. The only thing I blamed my TP on was weight gain, mood swings. Know I can associate alot more with my meds. Thanks for the reading material.

I started taking 50 mg of Zoloft about 1 year ago and eventually went up tp 150 mg. I gained 20LBS in 4 months!!! My doctor specifically told me that these meds would NOT MAKE ME GAIN WEIGHT! She had NO IDEA WHAT SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT!! I started tapering off the meds a month ago and took my last dose on the 22nd of June. Since then I have felt so tired, but the worst part is the electric zaps. It feels like I am being hit with a tazer gun or lightning or something. ALmost everytime I move I get a jolt through my whole body. I want to cry!!
While I was on the meds, I had heavy spotting between periods. My doctors couldn't figure out why it was happening. I have been trying to get pregnant and I think that Zoloft is the reason I have not been able to conceive.
I would also wake up with terrible night sweats and developed Hypothyroidism while taking this medication. I am 28 years old, and thought I was starting to go through Menopause!
I can not wait for these side effects and withdrawal symptoms to end. I will NEVER take this type of medication again. It is not worth it. I told my doctor that I would rather be depressed than feel the way I did while tkaing this medication.
Good Luck to everyone on this board.

I took Levaquin (500mg) for 10 days for a sinus infection with a nasty cough. (non smoker)
My heels began to hurt as did my right shoulder at day 4.
I had strange transient pains in my right index finger at day 6.
It took two weeks AFTER the last dose before my joint pains abated.
This antibiotic was very effective against my sinus infection.
I read about the possible side effects and I avoided exercise during the course of this drug.
All, in all. I am happy with the results. I am so glad to be rid of my sinus infection. It was worth the transient side effects (joint pain).
Any drug has side effects. This illustrates how important it is for people to be responsible for their own health and to
insist on complete information from both thier doctors and their pharmacists.
Be well.

I was on Levaquin for 6 of the 7 prescribed days, and as a result I have extreme joint pain. I am 37 years old and feel like I am 70 years old. I can't walk up or down stairs easily, it hurts when I get dressed, wash my hair...basically any movement hurts. After the first 2 days of taking the meds, I called the pharmacist since it was the weekend, and he told me that the Levaquin shouldn't cause this and it was OK to continue using it. So, I did through Sunday, then called my Dr. on Monday when I was instructed to discontinue its use. The only side effect remotely similar that was noted was "rupture of Achilles tendon" in rare instances. I've read some of the other messages that were posted and am glad to see that the pain some of you are having is subsiding. I sure hope mine does too. I go for blood work on Friday to see if any real damage has been done.
