As with others on this forum, memory loss is a side effect I'm experiencing with Lamictal. In fact, it's THE only side effect. I began taking Lamictal three years ago, and have maintained a dose of 300 mg a day. My short-term memory is practically non-existent. I have to write EVERYTHING down, and sometimes that isn't even enough. I've been known to forget what I've read only minutes before. I used to pride myself on my impeccable spelling, and now I'd say I'm at a fifth-grade level. In fact, I feel like I'm about ten years old. I've been taken to task over and over by employers who are frustrated with my poor performance. I've lost one job and due to lose another any day. Sure, my mood is stabilized, but for what good if I can't even support myself? I would definitely go off this medication if there was a good chance I would get my memory back, but I haven't come across anything in my internet travels that indicate this is a possibility!

I have been on Lantus for about a month and I started having leg cramping on both legs which is really driving me crazy. It starts at the thigh area and travels down the whole leg. It feels like the beginning signs when one gets a Charlie horse. It is not letting me sleep at night. No matter what position I try to sleep.

I didn't even relate all these other side effects to my mirena (tiredness, acne, depression, joint & leg pain), so at least I have a clue where all that came from. My biggest problem with the mirena is that at my first checkup, the midwife couldn't find the string, so I had an ultrasound, which did not show it, and then an x-ray which did, but not in my uterus. It's off to the side somewhere, apparently perforated my uterus & travelled to somewhere inside my abdomen, where it is now going to have to be surgically removed, and who knows what other damage it has caused in its travels.

I have only been on Toporal for about a month, 50mg/day. My B/P is now stable, but I am having intermittant chest pain that travels down my arm and into my jaw. I am a 50 yr old female in good shape. I can say that I feel some anxiety daily and that is not normal for me. I have not noticed a weight gain, yet my doctor called today to tell me my potassium levels are too high. Has anyone else experienced this from this drug?

I don't remember when I started taking Zocor - I think it was late 1990's. Recently I've been having pins and needles in my legs, arms and other parts of my body. Doctor did an EMG and it came back normal. Blood tests were also normal. He's now sending me to a neurologist. I researched Zocor and found that it can cause nerve damage which is what my doctor said I probably have. The research said that it starts in the feet then travels to the rest of the body. In 1999 I went to the doctor with pins and needles in the feet and he diagnosed it as arthritis and gave me quinine. I was in a car accident in 2001 and have been on pain medicine since then which was covering up the pain. The pain sometimes has me using a cane.

I started on Topamax about a year and a half ago at 50mg, then up to 75, then 100mg. About 3 months ago I started getting some sporatic pain in my upper arm, then my wrist and pinky finger. Over the weeks the pain increased, now it's daily pain, that travels somewhere over my arms, or legs, 90 pct on my left side, also getting neck pain. My dr. insists it's not the topamax, but lowered my dosage to 75mg, I'm not convinced. I've had MRIs, blood work, tests and everything's come back normal. I'm exhausted easily and slightly dizzy whenever I move my head (or eyes) to quickly. I'm getting an MRA this week and if that comes back normal, I'm going to insist I get weaned off this drug! If the symptoms go away, then I'll know it was the drug. If they don't, then I'll know I need to keep exploring to find an answer to my problems. But I'm sorry I started on this drug to begin with! I'd rather deal with the migraines and take the Imitrex as needed.

My daughter was recently put on singulair in october. She has always taken asthma medication since she was two years old.She currently takes advair(500 mg), zyrtec, nasonex.,ventolin . She had a rough fall with her asthma and the allergist put her on singulair and zantac. She is a tennis player who travels around the country playing tournaments and ever since starting the Singulair she has been sick and unable to compete. She has been on four rounds of antibiotics, and she has had a catscan, and all of the numerous bllod tests. We have had her to the DR.S eight times since October. She has also been on prednisone 3 times this fall.Last year she never went on prednisone or had any antibiotics. Her complaints are stuffy nose, sore throat, chronic cough , andno energy. She has symptons for about 12-14 days , then she has about 4 good days and then the cycle starts all over again. If anyone else has suffered from any of the same complaints i would love to know.

My wife began using Lantus approximately 2 weeks ago
(11/21/05). Very early on Thanksgiving Morning, she
awoke with her heart skipping beats. She had not experienced this before the Lantus injections. We wound up
at the ER at the local hospital on Thanksgiving morning in
Cranford, New Jersey. The Chief of the ER was on duty and
after hours of blood tests and being hooked up to an EKG,
he told my wife to immediately discontinue the Lantus
injections and return to Novilin 70/30. However today is
12/05/05 and her pulse is still erratic at times.
Has anyone experienced problems with their heart rate
while using this medication? Please let me know.
Thank you!!!

Been on Advair for 6 months now and have gained 10 pounds. I weighed the same for years prior to Advair.
I even eat less now but still the weight gain around my stomach. Very fatiqued. All I want to do is sleep. Have experienced muscle and joint pain. Have had chest pain which travels down my left arm and tingle feelings in my left hand. Get headaches and back and shoulder pain. Feels like when you have the flu. Been getting heartburn also and the doctor gave me Aciphex for that and it did seem to help the heartburn. I'm so happy to have found this sight. I am going off the Advair and see what happens. I hope they go away soon. I am usually a very active person but now have no interest in much and no desire to get off the couch and do anything. I am usually very tired.

My doctor switched me from Cozaar to Lisnopril at my request. The Cozaar was $40.00 with my insurance -- Lisonpril is $10.00. I think I'm going back to Cozaar. In the last two weeks, I've developed a pain that starts at the base of my head, behind my right ear, and travels down my right arm and into my back. I'm pretty sure it's from the Lisnopril, as weird as that may sound (My mother has the same pain and she also takes Lisnopril. She also has the hacking cough, something I haven't developed yet). I'm also having headaches at the top of my head -- something I've never had before.
