I have been on Cymbalta for close to 2 years for the last several months I have been forgetting more and more.. more frequently! My doctor increased my dosage from 90mg to 120mg. Now, I have had a nervous breakdown/anxiety attack was admitted to the hospital's outpatient treatment program and have lowered it back to 60mg. It is very hard to ween off of. The hospital doctor has prescribed Lamictal and Trazadone and my gastroenternogist has put me on Amitryptiline. Gee I feel like a Pharmacist now. This sucks! All for Clinical Depression and Fibromyalgia and IBS, Does anyone else have memory problems while on Cymbalta??? email me ******to talk.

I was given a prescription for Trazodone four days ago beginning with a 150mg dose. I have a very long history of getting by on three to four hours of sleep and was constantly tired. That first dose really knocked me for a loop the next morning. When I first stood up after the alarm went off I was spacey, groggy, unsteady on my feet, joint pain in my knees and hips, and slight pain in the muscles of my legs. It was a full three hours before I felt somewhat better although I felt unsteady on my feet and when I walked, I walked as though I had a hangover. I decided to only take 75mg tab the second night. I slept twelve hours. When I awoke the above mentioned symptoms were still there but were much, much lest in intensity. The third night I took 50 mg. I slept nine hours and when I awoke the symptom were really minimal and felt quite normal after an hour or so.

I've been on Lamictal 200mg for a couple of months and let me tell you, I haven't had a f^@#!&g good night sleep since! I am a 33 y.o. male with Bipolar Disorder (hate that label) and I have a "slight" case of paranoia. The drug has allowed me to refrain from acting out on certain impulses, but not suicidal tendencies. OK... now I do have fully functioning parts (one in particular) which worked fine before this drug (you see where I'm going with this?). It SUCKS!!! Let's just say that there are certain things I'd rather not have happen prematurely (I am not laughing). I do happen to be great in that particular category, yet this strips me of any natural ability to fully indulge in such activities. Uuggghhhh... Give me my mojo back or just shoot me!

I've been on seroquel for about 5years, ive been taking 500mg a night, it was prescribed after my doctor said i had schizo effective disorder when i was 19 years old i am now 24. And i feel my life is great execpt for one thing seroquel as it did help me to sleep, and calm me down at the time of my episode back when i was 19, now it has and is still ruining my life. I gained 50kgs which im not sure what that is in pounds probably about 105pounds-ish, i managed to drop about 25kilos but am forever gaining weight and it is a constant battle just to mantain my weight let alone lose the weight, but thats not the worst thing. I am constantly tired it doesn't matter how much i sleep i am still tired i have to go to bed at 9.30pm just so i can wake up at 8am to go to work, and i am so tired all day even after that much sleep and even if i sleep for 12,14 hours i am still tired my partner says that sleep rules my life and nothing is as important in my life than sleep, because im tired my concentration is so bad and my memory is worse, im just in another world and always out of it seroquel runs my life and i hate it im am so scared to come off it, but ive decided that im going to start to do it. and finally rid my life of, this disease which was supposed to help me but has completely taken away my hold on my life, i will not be ruled by seroquel anymore.

I've been taking Trazodone for 4 yrs, it helps my neck muscles relax during the night, and also helps me sleep. I have FM (fibromyalgia). My chief side effect is E.D. I thought it was the Traz but in looking thru all your reports of side effects I don't see one mention. I used to enjoy sex w/ my wife (she LOVES to make love!) but now, not only can't 'get it up' but don't even think about sex, EVER. I'm a 50-yr-old male, and this is kind of scary. Michael Douglass' wife could walk by in a bikini, and my remark would be, "How 'bout them Cubs?" Anybody have a similar experience?

Makes my stomach hurt like a gas feeling and burning really bad.
Night sweats are horrible. I have to change my PJs about 5 times a night and the bed is soaking wet. It really messes up my sleep. It is helping with my anxiety I think. I'm just not sure if it's worth it with all these bad side effects.
Now I am getting tingling on the tops of my feet and tops of my toes.
It's all so strange. I also have depression and this is helping a little.
I feel unmotivated lately and tired...oh did I mention weight gain because it makes me eat more? What a mess I am.

I started taking Lamictal about six weeks ago for epilepsy. Now keep in mind, I was on Dilantin which worked great for 17 years and then suddenly stopped working. I have been in medication hell since then. First Topamax made me dumb as a rock. I would space out all the time. Worst drug ever. Then Keppra which was better in that my memory/ability to speak came back but I had these intense ups and down. I had rages constantly. Now I'm on Lamictal. So far, it's better than the Topamax and the Keppra, however the dreams are very intense as are the night sweats. I'm also experiencing much hair loss. Fortunately I have a full head of hair but I'm afraid I will eventually lose it all.

Is this a forum for trashing Lamictal? I've been on it for a year and it probably saved my life. If you have negative effects from taking it, why not drop it and try something else? I'm glad I never read all of these horror stories, as I'm sure it would have scared me enough never to have tried it. That would have been a shame .. I've never felt as symptom free as I do now; I sleep well and dream well, put in long days in my business and never have a problem remaining focused and alert. The perfect cocktail for me turned out to be 250mg Lamictal twice a day, 25mg Trazodone at night, and 40mg Citalopram. I feel really fortunate that my psychiatrist only feels the need to visit with me once every 6 months just to check in. If I miss a day, my wife notices immediately as I start to swing "up" again. Drawbacks? The cost (about 7 bucks a pill), and some weight gain which may have happened anyway .. (I'm 52). If you have the insurance to cover it, I say give it a try.

I have been experiencing very brief blackouts (fainting). I don't know if the Lisinopril is the cause but that would be my first guess. In the middle of the night I wake up with bad stomach cramps and diarrhea. When I am in the bathroom on the toilet my stomach hurts really bad and the next thing I know I wake up on the bathroom floor with my face cut open. The first time I slit my eyebrow (which had to be glued) and this time it was my chin. I am 24 years old and don't know what could be causing this? I am presribed 80 mg. which I take at night along with a sleep aid called Trazadone. The first time the doctor told me I was dehydrated and this time I have no clue. Could Lisionpril be causing these episodes and if so why didn't the doctor tell me? After the episodes I am very hot and sweaty, face bleeding, dizzy, and lots of diarrhea. I have never done anything like this before and I am very worried about this. I am also very tired of cutting my face and the scars! Please help and give me some insight. Thank you, Anna

I've been on Lisinopril for almost 2 months. At first I was so tired that I needed a nap about 4 hours after taking it. The dry cough came and went more like a tickle. Went back to the doctor and complained that the sleep rx she gave me didn't work so she prescribed Trazadone 10mg and my Lisinopril is 20mg daily. I awoke the next day with nausea, diarrhea, headache. Decreased Trazadone to 1/2 or 1/4 but the diarrhea has not quit. I called the clinic and was told to stop the Trazadone(who needs sleep right?) and take 1/2 of Lisinpril daily. The diarrhea and the cough will not go away and the cough will come at any time. I'd rather take my chances with the hypertension than this. I am an obese woman but have lost 30 pounds in the last 5 months, so as I continue to lose hopefully I won't need any meds.

it wasn't too bad.. with th help of dr. of course... i came off topamax and only had to use trazadone twice. my sinus problem is gone , the hallcucinations have stopped and i love my husband again..WHEW! scary ....i am also down to 150 mgs of effexor-er shaking a bit still, but will stay with that for awhile. dr.'s advice. thank you for caring...tmaxmom...didn't mean to scare you about not using a dr. for this. i called her immediately when things got real bad. for all of you taking this drug, pay close attention to the side effects and how you feel in your head...TALK to your doctor the first sign something is wrong or with Q&A'S

For me GEODON has worked miricles! It is the first mood stabilizer that has actually worked. I started with 40 mg twice a day for a week, then 60 mg and on up to 80 mg x2 daily.

The morning geodon seems to make me feel alive. Before Geodon I ALWAYS felt tired with no motivation what so ever. Now I wake up around 7:30 am rather than 3 or 4 pm, I get up and get busy with household chores, running errands ect. ect. I feel energized.

When I take the second pill around 8:30, within an hour I feel sleepy. I go to bed and actually sleep sound all night. Before Geodon I'd be up and down or toss and turn all night long. I wasn't getting much rest and always felt tired. I'd sleep a hour or so then be up for a couple hours before I could fall asleep again. That went on every night all night long. Usually around 5 or 6 am I'd get to sleep then I wouldn't want to get up. I was really bitchy and irritable. I had zero patience and was constantly snapping at people. I knew I was being a bitch but I didn't care...I just wanted to be left alone to drown in my own misery. Geodon changed all that! I feel like a new person. I just hope it lasts. A few years back I took Trazadone, it worked well for me for about 6 months then all at once it stopped working and I went into a deep depression for months.
At one time I was taking 16 different psychotropic drugs for my bi-polar dissorder. What a nightmare that was! I didn't like ther person I was then at all. I was doing what my doctor told me to do without question. Then one day I WOKE UP...I realized that I DID have questions and I wanted answers. I was tired of feeling like a puppet so I decided to take control of my life. Since then I went through 8 different doctors before I found one who was willing to work WITH me, and listen to me instead of treating me like a pill popping lunatic.
I'm bi polar but I'm NOT stupid, it has nothing to do with intelligence!
Back to the point, even tho I am doing well on Geodon I have noticed a few side efects. I've developed a twich in my left eye and I constantly run my tongue over my teeth. both are a little bothersome, especially the tongue thing because it makes my tongue sore! =)~ But I'm hopeing it'll go away and if it don't, I'm willing to live with it. Seems a small price to pay in return for normalcy.

Here's a great place to check for drug interactions if anyone is interested. I just finished running a check for my mother and was suprised by what I found out. Alot of doctors these days are just plain pill pushers. They get kick backs from the big pharmaceutical plants for prescribing their drugs. I don't want to get started on that...it's a huge pet peeve! Ok, here's the link...www.medscape.com

I take 150 mg at night, but taking along, it makes me have terrible immobile nightmares. I take 2 mg of Ativan along with it at night to mellow the trazadone out. Both of them together makes me sleep like a log, by itself, I just can't take.

Hi I have Lupus for the past 12 years nad I am treated for the past year with Prednisone. At times they go up to 40mg and than taper it down. Currently I am taking 7.5mg daily and I experience dizziness and chest pain and night sweats. For the depression I take Trazadone, which helps me to sleep at night. Anyone would like to correspond with me, please do. Thank you.

I took trazadone in july of 2001. I took approx. 50mg for 4 months. After that point, I began to have some serious rage and feeling out of control from the medicine.

I should note that I am extremely sensitive to medicine so the medicine built up in my system for way too long.

i was on 225mg of effexor daily for 5 years. at first it really helped i didnt feel so down and i had more energy than i had in years. i thought it was the best thing that ever happened to me. i started out on just the effexor but after taking it only a couple weeks i started having sleeping problems. i went for a couple nights with a few hours sleep and then i couldnt sleep at all. i finally went to the doctor, and he gave me trazadone which is also an antidepressant, to help me sleep. i remember the few times i ran out of either of them i felt nausea moody, and just a lot of bad days. i was so addicted to them that when i first tried to get off them my self i was sick for days. and couldnt get out of bed. i finally just quit them like a bad habit. i have advice for the parents out there, THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR CHILD IS PUT THEM ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS
