Hi eveyrone,
I wrote a post but it did not show up for some reason. Oh well if it show up again sorry!!! Anyway I wanted to thank all of you for all your support. I have had all my blood test done on Monday. I was so scared too but then just had it done. It all came back normal. I was glad about that but still hate the anxiety and depression. I have been on the Lexapro for 2 wks now. I was feeling better. I have gone to my moms group this week, helped in my sons classroom and the sleep was getting alot better. The muscle jerking was going away but last night everything came back about 2 in the morning. I woke up with the muscle jerking, panic attack, sweating and just feeling restless and awful. I was so mad, I thought I was getting better. Anyway, I was able to get back to sleep and I woke up about 7 in the morning. I had a horrible stabbing pain in my right ovary. I knew at that moment that it was ovulation cramps. I use to get them all the time before being on b/c pills. I am right in the middle of my cycle. Do you guys think that these symptoms are getting worse again because of the ovulation? I hate the muscle jerking. It was getting so much better and last night was horrible. It has to be hormonal right? It's so frustrating. I just want to be normal again. I went to a therapist the other day because I just am finding it hard living with the new me. She said that I was totally chemically thrown into a depression and anxiety. She explained it really well. WE have 3 major chemical in our brain, seritonin, norphendrine, and someother one. Sorry about the spelling. Anyway she said these 3 control our pain, emotions, and sleep wake cycle. When they get altered even slightly, it throw our whole body off. She said the first sign of them getting affected is having trouble falling asleep. It's really scary because that was my first symptom on the Yaz. I started having trouble falling asleep. I never had that problem before. I had no clue it was the pill at that time. She seemed to know alot about yasmin and yaz and did not seem to please with them. It makes me so mad that it did this to us. i have accepted the having to take Lexapro. I know I would not have gone down this road but the night I wanted to end my life because I could not go on living this way really scared me. I don't want my kids growing up like that. We had a very happy and healty family before YAZ. Right now I have to do whatever I can to function for them. I just wish we all never took these pills. I wish we could do something. How many womens life are going to be ruined from this? Oh yea, does anyone else have the really oily hair? It's really gross. I am also getting these red painful cyst on the back of my scalp because of all the oil. They hurt really bad. I never had oily hair. Well I am glad for this site and for Kim. WE have been helping eachother everyday. It's nice when you have people that know what you are going through. I saw someone lives in AZ. I live in Mesa, AZ. WEll i wil be back to post again.

I was given levaquin to take for 5 days and the side affects were unbelieveable. I had trouble falling asleep, I felt as though I lost my breath when I would begin to fall asleep and would jolt out of bed. Also i would get heart palpatations when i would yawn or stretch. My skin at times would feel like it was burning and i would have to turn on the air conditioner. The Levaquin made me naucious and extremely tired, I never felt so horrible from a medication before. I hope I never have to take that crap again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 52 yrs old. I had a history of low b/p untill 10 yrs ago when it suddenly change to very high b/p. Cause unknown.

I have been on numerous types of b/p meds tryin to control the high b/p. About 12 months ago my GP changed me over to Lisinopril. My b/p dropped way to low and he changed the dosage to 10mg per day. It is still lower, 100/60, but he seems pleased with that.

At about the same time I developed a persistant hacking, dry cough and began vomiting as many as 15 times per day. I cannot keep most meals down and it's causing me to have trouble falling asleep and stay asleep. I've lost over 65 pounds, my hair is thinning and I am exhausted.

My GP nver mentioned Lisinopril might be the cause and has sent me to 3 different specialists to find out why I am coughing and vomiting. No one has come up with an answer.

You can imagine my shock when I stumbled upon this website!

I've emailed an inquiry to my GP to ask if he thinks Lisinopril might be the cause and will ask my gastro-intestinal specialist when I see him this week. I'll post their answers.

I'd be thrilled if this drug was the cause and the cure could be a simple change of medications.

I have been taking Yasmin for 2 weeks now. After about 3 days of switching to Yasmin from Ortho-Tri Lo, I noticed a itchy rash spreading all over my body. I didnt even think this had to do with the Yasmin. I also started to notice shortness in breathe, trouble falling asleep, and acid reflux, none of which I had ever experienced before. Still at this point I did not believe they were all related. I went to my MD to find out what the rash spreading all over my body was, he wasn't sure what it was either. He gave me a steroid pack and figured it would clear up on its own. Now, 9 days later, the rash is still here and I am getting new symptoms. Now I'm extremely nautious and dizzy. I have missed a week of work due to these issues. I just today found this web site and figured all these symptoms must be related. I called my gyno and explained to him my problems, he told me to stop taking Yasmin immediately. I hope these symptoms will stop now that I stopeed taking the pills. Lets hope so at least.......I am glad I found this site it helped me alot

Hi ladies--just an update:
after I stopped taking Yasmin, I went without any pills for a month and steadily got better. I only had a migraine once after the initial two week withdrawal. After one month, I stared Nuvaring (today, I started month 2 on it). I have not had any anxiety or panic attacks for over a month. I do feel my heart racing every once in a while still, but I think that if I managed to cut down the caffeine, those will stop as well. My BP went down significantly within a month after going off Yasmin.

I still feel fatigued, but I think now it's just my hectic schedule. I have no trouble falling asleep anymore (I would lay in bed for hours while on the pill). I feel EXTREME thirst sometimes since goinf off, like one other person posted. I can chug a half-gallon and still be thirsty, but that is gradually getting better.

To answer the question about detoxing--I went through a two-week detox after stopping Yasmin, with vitamin and herbal supplements, an immense amount of water and teas, no caffeine, no meat, etc. It helped me tremendously and it accelerated my getting better, I strongly recommend it.

Good luck to you all.

Well I have been taking Adderall now for 4 months. The first 2 weeks I was hyperfocused to the point that I could barely pull myself away from the office to go home. I was irritable and once went so long without eating or drinking anything that I got seriously light headed and thought I was going down. I still get the dry mouth, I have lost 25 lbs. over the last 4 months and am now extremely prone to severe sunburn. Or so I was until I developed the tan that I have now, and I think the Adderall is hiding the fact that I am seriously in need of sleep. I have never been much of a sleeper, I usually go to sleep around midnight or later, sometimes as late as 2AM and my alarm goes off at 5:15. However it catches up with me about every 4 months and I am exhausted by the time dinner is over and I have to go to sleep right away. After that 10 to 12 hours of sleep I am good again with the little sleep for months. However today and last night I found myself getting extremely angry for no reason. My wife and I just had our second child 4 weeks ago so my sleep has been even less than usual. One night I went to sleep at 1:30AM, got up at 3:30 to feed the baby, went back to sleep at 4:15 and got up at 5:15 to go to work. I think I am ready for one of those body shut downs but the Adderall is keeping me from realizing it. I sat at my desk this morning with my fist clenched, gnashing my teeth with tears streaming down my face and nothing had happened to cause it at all. I am not sure about the Adderall yet. So far I have really liked the increased focus at work and I am now going back to College which I have effectively put off now for 5 years. So it seems to really have helped my focus and motivation. I am EXTREMELY ADHD by the way. Whenever I used to have trouble falling asleep I would pound a Mountain Dew and sleep like a baby. Caffeine has always had a calming effect on me, so I assume the Adderall works in a similar manner. I am going to try and force myself to sleep early tonight and see if the unexplained anger subsides. I will post with my results.

my 3 1/2 year old son has had problems with focusing, hyperactivity at times, decreased concentration and inability to complete tasks. He has trouble falling asleep at night. Had him evaluated for this. Pediatrician suggested that it could be the zyrtec, since symptoms started about a year ago. MD stated that 2 other mother's started their child on Singular and then stopped the Zyrtec and saw an improvement in child's concentration. Will see

I have been taking Topamax for one week now @50 mg a day. I am supposed to increase 25 mg every week until I am at 200 mg a day. This is being taken for migraines. I am now having tingling in my hands and feet and trouble falling asleep. Also one leg is starting to twitching when I try to fall sleep or just sit so I am afraid to increase my dose. I am calling my Dr. tomorrow but I have a feeling he will tell me to just "wait it out".
Can anyone tell me if it gets better after awhile or worse?

I've taken Ambien off-and-on for the past 3 years for trouble falling asleep. It does make me fall asleep, but doesn't necessary lead to a full night's sleep. It's a pleasant calming "high" before I zonk out, but upon wakening I have headaches, feel thirsty and dehydrated, and a bit "dumb," slow, or out of it the next day.

Hi everyone,

I've posted here a couple of times about Yasmin. It's going on 3 weeks and i'm still having trouble falling asleep at night! I'm just not feeling tired at night. I don't get it. This had NEVER, EVER happened before Yasmin! The nurse told me it's out of my system but i really don't think so! Has anyone else had this problem?????? I just lay awake forever! I'm tired of being tired! I thought about going to the doctor, but i'm so sure that this is from the Yasmin! It started when i was on it. It might be in my mind now or habit of being awake, i don't know. I think i should give it awhile longer though. What do guys think?

Yes, a definite weight gain. About 14 pounds in the past
year. Dieting and excercise have not phased the pounds.
He also has the very vivid dreams, more like nightmares. Feels tired throughout the day, cannot wait for bedtime, but, has no trouble falling asleep and sleeps very sound.
