I started taking Yasmin 28 in june.. after that my life has been turned upside down... i've been having psychological side effects; i'm getting anxious for nothing, and feel very depressed. My humour is rolling up and down like a rollercoaster sometimes. Should I stop taking these pills?
Can somebody recommend another one, which is better?
What about Trionetta?

i too was surprised at the "2 weeks and great "post! i thought yasmin was a wonder pill for the 1st 6 months i was on it,my skin cleared up,my periods were a doddle,no water retention,no cramping.i went on holiday and took 2 packs back to back and bang........ my life turned upside down! i was sooo anxious i was scared to go out,i was scared to stay in ,i cried,i had nighmares, terrifying thoughts,i couldn't eat,i couldn't sleep,i just cried all the time,i couldn't deal with my kids,i was scared to be around them because i thought i had gone crazy,i lost 35lbs because i physically could not eat or if i did i was sick,i felt dizzy,my ears felt muffled,my vision was blurred and i just felt like i was going to die. i had constant panic attacks, palpitations, racing heart,shaking...the list goes on and on,i was put on diazepam but that made me worse.i struggled on until i found this site by accident,i stopped taking yasmin 5 weeks ago and am already feeling much better,my anxiety levels have dropped massively and the panic attacks are getting easier to deal with. if yasmin works for you then that's great, were all different but please remember that we are not all so lucky! we are all here to share our experiences of yasmin and to give each other help and advice if we can, femalepara...i am glad that yasmin is relieving some of your ailments and i sincerely hope that it carries on working for you as it does for some women but please please bare in mind that if you get ANYTHING unusal, like nausea, bowel problems, depression or any of the symptoms discussed on here,it could be that yasmin has struck again.

Hey everyone, I posted my story on the front page about how I was on Yasmin for 6 months, felt great, NO side effects at all. Then while I was studying abroad in London I decided to skip my period..BAD IDEA...I developed insomnia and anxiety and had a full blown panic attack a week later...I was continuing to take the pills because my gyno said there was no way that's what could be causing it. I ended up having to fly home for my spring break, stopped the pills mid-pack, and saw numerous doctors who didn't help, until I found a psychiatrist who has helped me through all this hell. However, last month he had me go back on yasmin because he thought it would regulate me back to how I was, but I was really scared the whole month so decided to go back off it again now for good and let my body stay natural. My question for you all is..I was off it for about 3 months and had lots of anxiety and horrible pms, went back on it for a month, and now am off it. Do you think that one month back on it will set me back a lot? The doctors didn't seem to think so but I'm scared and regret going back on it at all. I'm also having horrible nervousness every morning when I wake up, with a surge of emotion and have to hold back tears while I'm at work all day (I'm only 20 and have to go back to college in 2 months). Anyone have any help for me? My life has completely been turned upside down :-(

After taking Levaquin 750 for a UTI my life has been turned upside down. Insomnia big time, muscle pain all over my body and right hand swelling. My daughter told me today that I am scaring her with my psychotic behavior. BAD STUFF!!!

I wish I'd checked this site before giving my 5 year old son Singulair. Our lives have been turned upside down for the past four months, with the last month and a half being truly hellish. I am an RN and finally figured out that the only change that could have prompted such a significant mood/behavior change was his allergy/asthma medication, Singulair. It is like a switch turns on, his eyes flash with anger, he is very aggressive, physically tests us and reacts with violence, destroys his room when placed on anykind of restriction or time out, pushes way past set boundaries, has insomnia, restlessness, bad dreams, and finally he choked a nine year old out of frustration at a BBQ last night...He has been off the Singulair for two days and I know now that I am just going to have to treat him with kid gloves until this poison is out of his system. His allergies/asthma have never been better controlled, but at what cost? This medication is dangerous and I wouldn't be surprised if children started getting really hurt or hurt others while on it...it is a relief to know that my husband and I are not going crazy, but I feel horrible for putting my son through this.

I have horrible nerve pain of the right hip and leg ,all the way down to my toes, after two four level bone fusion sugeries. This has been going on for three years so they put me on Amytriptyline to help me sleep. Because the pain was waking me up after three hours of sleep. Then they put me on Neurontin 900mg a day for the nerve pain and my world turned upside down. I was tired all the time, weak, and it was very hard to concentrate and function. I had to stop taking it because I didn't think it helped my pain enough to put up with all the side effects. I'm on new medication and this one is much better then neurontin. To all those other people out there good luck I know how you feel, it would be great to feel pain free for just one day again!
