I received four injections of kenalog into the spiny processes in my lower back on May 26th 2005. On waking from the procedure, my heart rate quickened, my blood pressure fell drastically, my oxygen saturation in my blood fell to 84%, and I was in and out of consciousness. Two hours later, I began vomiting, developed a migraine, and began having heart palpitations. I was admitted to the emergency department the following morning where I was diagnosed with UNCONTROLLED ATRIAL FIBRILLATION and had to be cardioverted twice to get my heart working correctly. I was on betablockers for my heart for 2 months and am fine today. Like other posters, I also had erratic and extended menstrual cycles for about 3 months post injection. At the time, I was a 32 year old, healthy female with no history of cardiac problems.

Hi everyone. My main question, in case you don't want to read my long post, is: what is a normal / average amount of time to have to wait after stopping Yasmin for symptoms to start to fade / disappear? And if some symptoms begin to lessen, but not others, should I be worried that Yasmin was not the cause of those problems?
I started taking Yasmin at the end of May in place of my previous birth control. About a month and a half later, I started having vision trouble--it was difficult to focus, as if everything was moving ever so slightly. This was worst when I wore my contacts, and my vision was also blurrier when wearing them. I immediately went to my eye doctor, but they found nothing wrong with my eyes physically, and said my perscription was correct. About a month after that, I started having random bouts of sudden depression--I'd just start crying out of nowhere, and I've never had any trouble with mood swings or uncontrolled emotions like that before. I found this site about two weeks ago, and asked my doctor about switching back to my previous birth control.
Already, I don't feel so crazy-emotional and like crying, which had been the most recent symptom. However, the eye problems still persist, and they're much scarier to me--I've never had issues like this before, either. I won't be able to see my eye doctor again for about a month, and every day of that month the problems don't go away I'll probably be freaking out. So, my intial questions remain: what would be a normal amount of time for all / most symptoms to lessen / vanish after stopping Yasmin? And is it normal for some symptoms to take longer to dissipate, or should they typically fade simultaneously?
Thank you,
Jillian

I have had I believe all possible side effects for prednisone that are there. The one I am concerned about is the uncontrolled tremors in my hands/arms and legs that have continued since I have been off the drug. I have been on prednisone more in the last two years than I have been off of it. I have extreme allergic reactions resulting in anaphalaxis- thus the high doses of prednisone. Its just nice to know I am not alone in this struggle with this drug. Yes it saved my life many times but it is ruining my health- so why I know it is nessecary I still don't like the drug

My 5 year old son has been on singulair for about a year and a half now, this seems to really help his horrible bloody noses he used to get quite frequently, but I have seen an aggresssive behavior and stubborn emotional child more so in the past few months I can't really say it is or isn't the meds changing him but I am going to ask to try another med and see if his personality changes thank so much for everyone else writing in I thought I was nutty thinking it could have anything to due with the meds so often we want to put blame on an poor parenting for the uncontrolled child ,but We are really trying . I also have noticed an uncurable hunger at night with him (thats when he takes his pill) he is becoming a large child and Again I wasn't sure to connect this but I will research more.,
Thanks so much for sharing input

I received Levoquin for a bad sinus /respitory infection. I've taken full doses in the past, but no more. I took one 500mg Levoquin pill and within 1 hour I had a fever, uncontrolled chills, aching legs/feet and swollen hands. After finally falling asleep I woke up feeling better. I at that time didn't associate the two (have taken without side effects in the past). I just thought that I probably came down with some strange 24hr bug. I took my morning dose and wouldn't you know it the whole cycle started again. I haven't had a dose in 24hrs and just started taking Benedryl for some relief. My hands and feet are still swollen, red and painful. It hurts to walk b/c the soles of my feet are so sore and now I have signs of thrush. It is a nightmare. I will never, ever take this medication again!!!!

My 7 year old son started Advair about a year ago. The doctor started him on 250 twice a day and I new that wasn't working so I cut him down to 250 once a day. Adam has increasingly exhibit ADHD symptoms that he never had before, and about 6 weeks ago started having bladder accidents during the day. His teacher told me he showed signs of 'aggressive depression' and was concerned about his lack of social skills. I called his Primary physician last week and she wanted to decrease his dose (which she said was excessive for his age) to 100 twice a day (I did 100 once a day because he can't sleep at night if we do this at night). Every day since then there has been an incident. He was caught in major lies yesterday and responded to the teacher in a fit of uncontrolled rage! This is NOT my son! He tells me his brain tells him to do stuff and he can't control himself. I called his primary and she said take him off ALL Advair! Does anyone know what his withdrawal symptoms might look like? Now, in two weeks we'll be sending him to a child psychologist! I believe this is all a result of Advair! All this treatment was to reverse his Reactive Airway Disease (which apparently wasn't full-blown ashtma to begin with). Watch out for this medication with kids!!!!

Type 1 diabetic and I have been for 13 years+. I want to know if any other diabetics out there experience a "different" smell and discharge after taking this pill... I have also experienced the same with Ortho Tri Cyclen- Lo........ about a year ago and I notified my Nurse Practioner. She recommended Yasmin. I know that a diabetic wonan's body is breeding ground for yeast infections if blood glucose is not uncontrolled consistentl. Can someone please give me some insight. Even thought my circulation is fine ,after reading the website and seeing all this about circulation etc... I am a little leiry.
