My three year old is stoned out of his head on this stuff. It has not effected his cough at all, but he now falls asleep or "passes out" without notice. His eyes are dialated, he is "spacey" and is having nightmares and when awake, what I think are hallucinations. He has trouble with motor skills- even the simple things. We have stopped using it now and after 24 hours he is started to become a little normal. VERY unsettling.

I have been getting tingling and itchiness of my face hands and legs. I also get a sensation that my skin is really, really hot just under the surface. These sensations are unsettling, so I guess I need to add nervousness to my list of symptoms.

I have been on Lisinopril for about three months. Started at 10 mg/daily, but Dr increased to 20 mg/daily within a month as my blood pressure wasn't coming down as he expected. I was horrified to notice just yesterday that my face is becoming puffy and round, like it did when I took prednisone (which I no longer take - bad stuff for me). Also the weight I worked so desperately to loose from the prednisone is starting to creep back up. Have little energy and or desire to do the things I used to enjoy, frequently still feel anxiety (which I thought was caused by the high BP). Now I'm not sure about anything! Looking for good Naturopathic Doctor. Sick and tired of getting worse with all this expensive medication. My research on the side effects is unsettling. I'm a female 70 years old.

I was recently prescribed 500 mg of Levaquin per day (for a total of 10 days) to treat a sinus infection and a staph infection of the eye (the systemic Levaquin was in addition to Ciloxin eye drops).
I have almost always been prescribed Zithromycin for infections in the past, which I have used without incident.
All I can say is that I'm on day 7 of the Levaquin now and I'm having several very weird side effects.
I'm anxious as hell, irritable, terrible nightmares, flashes of hot and cold that seem to have nothing to do with the actual temperature of the environment. This Levaquin seems to be having effects on me that are more akin to a psychotropic drug than a regular antibiotic.
I did some research on the web and found out that fluoroquinolone antibiotics compete with GABA receptors in the brain, which means that, at least for some people, the fluoroquinolone antibiotics such as Levaquin will have an effect on them that is pretty much the opposite of valium . . . instead of calming you down . . . it ramps up your central nervous system and can seemingly cause all sorts of weird things.
At least for me, I don't think I'll be wanting to take this Levaquin drug ever again. I can't say it's bad for all people, but it's been a very unsettling experience for me.

While using Flonase I lost 90 per cent of my sense of taste and smell. Very unsettling, but resolved quickly after I discontinued the medication.

I can relate to a posting that stated the patient was having trouble distinguishing dreams from reality. I was having this problem too. Had a hard time explaining to my doctor who said that he had never heard of that side effect. It doesn't last long for me, but it's very troubling whe it occurs. I am unable to take the 150mg of Wellbutrin XL. I would prefer an extended release but it is not offered in 50mg. This means that I have to break a 100mg pill, not extended release, in two. The meds then kick in faster and drop off within about 10 hours. The drop off is also unsettling. Hope this post helps someone. Hang in there, guys. Keeping praying.
