Untill symptoms and conditions

Hi all, I just turned 20 in April and I had the Mirena inserted at the beginning of May 2009. At first I didn't stop bleeding for about 3 or 4 months. My OB/GYN told me that this was normal. So I went on with it and since then I have been feeling hungry all the time, I am constipated and when I do go to the bathroom it feels like I am pooping out razor blades, my shoulder just recently started hurting so bad that I can barely move it. I feel very irritable all the time, I have no sex drive, I am depressed, I am getting to be so moody that my fiance feels like I am mentally abusing him. Not to mention I just had my precious little girl and I get so frustrated with her when I know it's not her fault. I have NEVER been this way with babies. I couldn't imagine hurting her physically, and after reading everyone else's side effects I am seriously concerned about my Mirena...Should I get it removed or am I just stressed out because of other things in my life??? Please write back and tell me your opinion.

P.S... My main concern is my baby...She doesn't deserve this...

i am on the depo shot,i feel tired,headaches,no sex drive,depressed,mood swing, bloated, i just feel the same way i did when i was pregnant. i was thinking bout trying the mirena, can anyone give me some advise. thanks.

I just finished my last pill of Avelox today. I take the generic form of prozac each day. I was taking the meds at the same time because no one told me different. For the last 3 night I cannot go to sleep. When i do finally fall asleep i am worked by a panic attack that can last for a couple of hours. Stomach very upset and very nauseated. I also feel very sad and depressed. Had no idea it could be from this RX until tonight when I looked it up! Will never take again. Just wish I knew how long it will take to get out of my system????

Hi I'm 36, with high blood pressure. I have been on 25mg/day hydrochlorothiazide since July 08. I went in for normal 3month check up and Dr tells me that my bottom number is to high, so she gives me yet another pill to take(yep you guessed it) Lisinopril. I filled the RX in the morning, by lunch time, I felt sick to my stomach, dizzy, everything hurt. I thought I had gotten the flu. This was just 2 days before my daughter and my mothers birthday.(both the same day) We had big plans after all you only turn 18 once. I put a smile on and went to the party, but it was living hell. My Fiance' noticed that I didn't start feeling bad until after I had taken that new pill. I only took 1 a day for 3 days and it took me over a month to feel half way normal again.

my peanus start eaching realy bad it feels like is burning and then my left
hand start turning red and burning until it got black purple. I didn't know I was alergic to sulfamethoxazole, as soon as this happened I just stop taking this medicine, then I eate a lot of garlics and cactus nopales and all my allergic reaction go away like ten minutes after I eate that.

Wow! I must be the latest in a long line of Lipitor users and apparently pain sufferers. I have been on Lipitor for over a year. I am 56 years old, active and healthy (thank God). Around November 2008, I noticed a "twinge" in my left hip while sleeping. This has gotten progressively worse over the months and I thought it was due to arthritis (which runs in my family). But after reading these blogs, I am not so sure. If anyone has anything definitive regarding this, ie: tests, studies, etc., I would really appreciate a point in the right direction for more information. I was thinking (until today) that I was headed for hip surgery or something equally drastic. Now that I have a clue that it may be the Lipitor, I want to investigate further and then, if necessary, change to another medication that won't break me down like this. My heart goes out to anyone that has suffered through hip pain. It is a miserable, painful condition that saps your energy and your desire to even move sometimes. I appreciate any help you can offer. HELP!!! At last I find women who have same feelings about Mirena. until now Ive not clicked. you see I had this coil fitted Nov 2007, since then ive had headaches, gained 3 stone, depressed,memory loss and URTICARIA. Im allergic to everything, my body is covered with red itchy burning patches, they take days to go down. i also have large lumps come up all over my head and face,(they are itchy and bright red) people think ive been beaten up, or suffer from elephant disease. i hate it and hold my head down as im so embarrassed. i look like it for days. ive been told now that im allergic to nearly every food going. last week so bad ended in hospital, had swelling of tongue and mouth. life is so crap at moment. doctors need to look into this. god help us, we put our trust in them so much. Im 48yrs and been sterilized since 1997. but due to heavy bleeding and suffering acute anemia. I was advised to have it fitted. R.

Hi, ive been on Yasmin now for 1 month and 3 days. A few days after starting it I got a rash on my chest and upper arms which i thought was sparked by the sun/heat. It went away and then a week later my skin slowly started to get itchier and itchier until I was covered in a rash from my ankles to my neck. I looked like I had a weird disease. Even the doctors were impressed, but no one could help. We suspected the pill as it was the only thing that was new to my system, but then it disappeared and we put it down to being caused by stress. Ive just started the next month (like I say 3 days into it) and once again I find myself scratching an feeling basically itchy and very very tired (not that it is unusual the tiredness I have to say, it just seems a little more than normal). I am now pretty sure it is the pill, but am nervous just to stop taking it. I just don't want to go through all that ive just been through with the previous rash, it was HORRENDOUS! Has anyone else had such a severe rash reaction? They were red, itcy spots with a watery kind of top to them........

i thought it was just me but i have sat here for about 45 minutes and read about the other side effects other women have had on this pill...
im 17 and was started on femcon fe for ovarian cysts and i have been so emotional that i have had 6 people in 1 week ask me if im pregnant because im so emotional. my boyfriend is in the army and has been deployed to Iraq until July, he told me he loved me and i started crying and he asked me what was wrong and i didn't know and ive been on ortho tri cyclen lo and i had an amazing experience on it
another incident was when i was standing in the lunch line at school and a girl took the last sandwich and i just fell to peaces OVER A SANDWICH!!! i know this pill has something to do with it so ive just stopped taking it i want back on ortho tri cyclen lo

I was on Lipitor for either two or three years, maybe more, can't remember, it was around 2003. About a year after starting the meds I started losing my balance, like my feet were heavy and wanting to not lift themselves up when stepping off a curb. I was in fear of falling. After being a professional dancer for many years and still having excellent muscle tone I was shocked by this muscle problem. Then I developed shooting pains in my thighs, and eventually I had an incident where my one leg just gave out and I couldn't walk. It was something in the hip/leg joint. Went to an orthopedic doctor, got x rays and m.r.i., he found nothing. I stopped taking Lipitor because I had spoken with other friends who were having leg pains. My regular doctor would not admit to anything wrong, just kept telling me I needed to stay on the drug, which infuriated me. He also kept blaming the muscle weakness and pain on my weight; which I have never had a problem with before.
The shooting pains in my thighs was all the time, including at night and woke me up at night. This was unreal. Even after walking miles I had these shooting pains, so it wasn't an exercise issue at all, but it certainly did deter me from exercising more often.
Now the pain and swelling is mainly in my knees. I can hardly walk, feel like I am crippled, and have lost my job over not being able to walk around and show apartments! I can't walk steps anymore at all, I am only 55 years old! No matter what I do, the pain and muscle weakness is progressing, I've seen a Chiropractor, a nutritionist, and now I'm going to see a Rheumatologist. I believe I have permanent muscle damage from this drug, no one can tell me otherwise.
Also, I have experienced the gradual increase of brain fog over the last two years. I am scared to death this damage is irreversible.

Oh my....I thought I was having a heart attack or something!!! I had no idea that this stupid pill was doing all of this, when I found this page and read through a few of them I was so relieved!!!!!! I have not been on Yasmin very long I started in October and I hadn't even went through my second pack. I stopped taking the pill today because I started these chest pains a few days ago and I told my mom about them tonight it really scared me.So I called and told her and she looked it up and told me so I looked it up and found this page. My side effects didn't start happening until recently I have had pains through out my whole body, chest pains, back pains, stomach pains, leg, arm, etc., I am tired all the time and depression is starting and I have never had that. I thought my tiredness was just from having a two year old but I now know that it should not make me feel like this I am only 19 years old and will never take this stupid pill again or recommend it to any one thanks to all that made me see it was really Yasmin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was on the NuvaRing for about four months and I loved it until I asked myself why I was even on it considering my boyfriend and I had not had intercourse for as long as I could remember. I realized every time he wanted to I had no interest and would make up excuses and could not achieve an orgasm for the life of me. That's not all, I began to noticed a very unpleasant, potent smell that became increasingly noticeable as the days led on and it got to the point where I could smell it when I was fully dressed out in public and I can assure you I have never smelled anything like this. I have been off for a about a month and a half now and the smell has disappointed, and my sex drive is back but the smell won't seem to go away in full and it soaks into the skin of my partner and he has to wait for days for the smell to go away after he spends time scrubbing himself. This is no way to live! It's humiliating!! I also feel that since I have been off I get extremely tired and pass out in the middle of the day not even realizing that I've fallen asleep! I sleep for hours and I was late to work yesterday because of it. I know that I am not pregnant, and nothing has changed in my life except the NuvaRing

I have taken Lisinopril since 2001 because of high blood pr. caused by Mitral valve prolapse. From the beginning it made me a little sleepy when I drive to work in the morning. I take 20mm when I have breakfast when I get up.
I now notice my hands hurt until I have worked for a while. I work 7 days a week as a mechanic due to low income. Whenever I get a small cut or scratch now I bleed like crazy.
I do ballroom dancing once a week and my arms & chest hurt when I go too hard or run. I have always been short of breath since 10 years old. I'm 70 now.
I would not be afraid to try it as it has helped me. Just pay attention to the affects it may have on you. When I stop taking it I get better but my BP goes up. It really doesn't bother me much. A friend takes it with no side affects.

I have to honestly say I LOVE the Mirena. Yes it was a little painful when it was inserted but that is the only bad thing I have to say about the Mirena. I have had the Mirena for about 2 1/2 years now. I don't have to worry about taking a pill everyday, gaining weight or the best part not having a period. I spot very little for like a day and to be honest it is only when I go to the bathroom and wipe is when I notice that Im spotting. I guess Im just one of the lucky ones that can use this method of birth control.

I started taking this pill about 2 weeks ago. The very first night I woke up with awful nausea. That continued for about 3 days. Like some of you, I feel like I'm not even myself anymore. I cry for no reason at all. My fiance says he doesn't even know who I am anymore..I'm SO moody! This is the first birth control I've been on, so I don't know what else to compare it to...but so far I don't like it. It's made my face break out a little too, which never happens. And I do feel bloated a lot. This sucks.

I finished taking seven days worth of Levaquin about one week ago. I feel like I am dying. I have Fibromyalgia so I thought I was having a bad flareup. I told my husband this is the worst I've ever felt. I usually exercise, walk, swim and try to move so I dont get stiff from the fibromyalgia. This is very different. My muscles in my thighs and calves are burning, upper body weakness, bizzare nightmares (I usually dont remember my dreams). I cant get out of bed untill around 11:00. I just keep falling asleep when I try to get up earlier. I try to get some exercise and fall onto the couch in tears. I cant think straight and I am so weak. I cant believe my Dr. gave it to me knowing I suffer from chronic pain already. I took it in the past and stopped because of nausea and depression. But I wanted to tough it out this time to get rid of UTI. I also read that you should not take if you have had a reaction to Cipro. I had huge hives from cipro. I wish I had that reaction with the Leviquin so I wouldn't have full body pain. Even my feet hurt. I wish I never heard of this drug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello.. wow.. this site is unreal i mean i never found this UNTILL after starting yaz.. iv been on it for only like 7 days and from the 4th day iv started having terrible "head squeezing" "migraine" & attacks.. feel "nausiated" and "irratable".. i went on this at the advise of my obgyn after delivery of my baby..my major purpose was to get rid of the excess "hair growth" etc "due" to "PCOS".. ill be visiting my doc today to see was else she can advise instead of yasmin.. its funny how they prove to be synthetic ingredients and with least or no side effects.. what a load of bull****!

Need some advice for my husband. He has been given Levaquin and he is in alot of pain. Headache, stomach, dizzy, lower back pain..and what ever else you can think of. So my question is, what did you do to get relief from taken the medicine and how long untill you felt better. I have told him not to take anymore, but what else if anything can he do to feel better? Ive been takine it for about 2 weeks, up untill yesterday that is. the first few days taking it i had no problem, but then i started getting really bad headache's, blurred vision, nausea, and tension in my neck. then yesterday i woke up with a small rash on my chest. As the day went on the rash started spreding buy the end of the day i had a major headace, fever, and i was covered in a rash from my neck to me knees. i went stright to the doctors an he said i was having a major reaction the the drug and to stop taking it. hopefully this rash and headaces will be gone with in a few days.

Ive been using NR since january. I got diagnosed with migranes about 2 years ago so when i started getting them frequently i figured id just go back to my doctor to find something else to help. Ive tried about 4 different pain killers inluding muscle relaxer shots, to try to ease muscle tension headaches. I love the ring because im horrible with remembering to take a pill every day! Ever since ive been on the ring ive been very upset i was really happy when i found this site. it showed me that i wasnt the only one feeling this. My migranes are so bad i cant keep my eyes open. I argue with my boyfriend more than ever because he tells me im too emotional and i cry too much. I dont know what to do because i want to be on something i dont have to remember to take everyday. I use to be on lo-overal.. it worked great but i have really good gag reflexes and the pill isnt coated so it would dissolve before you had time to swallow it! Now every time i take a pill i gag remembering what it was like to take lo-overal. It makes me sick thinking of it. Has any one ever tried the shot? Or does anyone else know of any other options besides pills? if so PLEASE let me know!

I have had the same serious of same side effects as everyone listed in this site. Tiredness is the BIG one - Mostly to not being able to sleep...Timing is perfect with taking this Drug. i necver had this problem before. I feel great in the morning untill about and hour later after popping the pill and the rest of the day is a struggle. Doc' put me on Provigil (speed) to keep me going. Some days that doesn't even work. it's only been lately i have put two and two together and blame it on the Lisinopril.

Question? Anyone switch Med's and had beter results? If so which one??

I was diagnosed with asthma 8 months ago at 45 years old. It was quite a shock considering I never had sympthoms untill recently. The doctors thought that abulterol would be enough to control it but unfortunately the events become too frequent. They then swictched me to Singular. Wow, what a mistake that wa! Yes, my breathing improved but the side effects were frightening and painful. After only two or three days my arms, hands and fingers were numb and tingling...constant pins and needles...and virtually useless. At night I had the worst most vivid nightmares I've ever had. And I was unable to fall asleep because my mind was constantly racing. It's almost enough to make one psychotic. Plus I had sudden, very painful ear and tooth aches.

All this cleared up a few days after stopping Singualr.

This drugs is suppose to interfere with your body's signals to produce inflammation but it has to be doing so much more, and most of that not good. It seems clear based on my side effects and others I've read about it has a huge impact on the central nervous system too.

This is not a safe drug. I wouldn't be surprised if someone, some day uses it as an excuse for some really bad behaviour. In fact, I'm shocked that this is given to kids at all. If I had to take this for months I would go insane.

BTW, months later, on advice of my doctor, I tried it again with the intent of taking it every other day to limit dose. Nice idea, but no cigar. After just one dose I was once again "flipping out" in bed.

If you have really bad asthma and singular works for you without side effects that's great news. But I'd still ask myself what kind of impact is it having on your body if it does so much damage to so many other people. How safe can it really be?

If you have kids, and they're taking it, please keep a close eye on them. Sometimes kids don't have the communication tools to explain to parents what they're experiencing. Don't make them suffer...and don't let them be punished at school because their behaviour is uncontrollable. It could very well be this med.

I looked this med up after being on it for a week and developing a chronic hacking cough, post nasal drip and increased tiredness. Thank you all for sharing your experiences. I've had enough. It goes into the garbage tonight!

I began taking prednisone in nov06 for TA. I started at 70mg daily. Side effect were minimal (moon face, problems sleeping, muscle weakness..) untill Feb07 when the weight gain averaged 2lb a day!!! and I had already began to wean off it. I started my own reduction plan because the Dr only had me going down 5mg every other week. I am on 5mg this week, 2.5 mg next week and I'm done, I hope I start to have more energy soon. I hope I never have to take this crap again! I am on methotrexate to replace the pred.
