I am 51 year old woman and have been on Lisinopril 5mg and Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg for many years now, about 8 (not sure). I got the dry cough to start with and then it vanished, to be replaced with a productive cough. I get, at any time, but thankfully not all the time, a constant need t clear my throat and a wheezing in my breath. I am producing copious amounts of mucus and this is what sets it off. It most often happens after eating or after I have been sedentary for a long time so I get it a lot when in bed. I cough until it all clears away but sometimes I am sick, or I cough myself dizzy and come over all peculiar. It is not a listed side effect but I never had this before. My hair has suddenly thinned, hairdresser told me he has notice a big change in my hair (am menopausal but not through it yet, I suppose my age and meo could be cause of thinning hair). I suffer from terrible stiffness in my feet. Sometimes I can hardly walk as my legs and feet as so fatigued. I will limp upstairs one at a time. Other days I can s[rint up! No regular pattern but I have started using a walking stick often as one ankle is very weak and can give way. Could it be the Lisinopril? I had three day bout of my taste buds going haywire about four years ago but it righted itself. Now I have it again, only not quite so bad. I can taste tea and coffee and savory foodstuff mostly as normal but sweet things either are tasteless or bitter. I don't know if I should go doctors or not. Does anyone else get this constant hacking cough due to excess mucus suddenly being produced. Tenalady are making too much money out of me due to this, lol!

In August I started taking Topamax and every week i am to up the dosage now I am taking 50mg in the morning and and 50 mg at night because my headaches was so bad that I had to quit my job because I couldn't serve food and vomit at the same time. Now that my headaches have gone from everyday to about every other day I have noticed the indigestion. Because I had because sick so long the doctor suggested I had a reflux and it would correct itself.I started looking at all the medication I was on and the list from the pharmacy never indicated indigestion on as a side effect for Topamax. My appetite is non.Weight lost about 20 lbs but I could afford that and then some. I try not to use the upstairs of my home if no one is there because of the dizziness. And simple chores around the house go undone.I have bounce $130 in bank fees this month and can't figure out how and gave the finances over to my husband to keep up with and I am a math major in college this semester. This is how bad things have gotten some simple words i can't recall how to spell . I have to use the dictionary. It's bad.

I was relieved at first to be off atenlol(?) and hoping lisinopril would control my hpb. Instead, the dry, choking cough, up all night was not the worst for me. I had CHRONIC diarrhea, I mean constant. If I ate, I had immediate diarrhea, if I drank something, water, coffee, whatever, I had diarrhea. The doctor kept wanting me to get a colonoscopy but I felt it was the lisinopril as I knew when it started. You know we all know our bodies better than the doctor so I insisted 2 weeks ago that she give me something else. I am on Norvasc now. I took the last lisinopril on a Friday morning and by Sunday morning the diarrhea had stopped not to be experienced again to date. Thank goodness. That sure drains you quickly, being tired besides not always convenient to find a bathroom. I could not eat lunch at work because of the loud rolling stomach and gurgling noises my stomach made every time I ate or drank anything, IT was not only a worry but it was horribly embarrassing as I share an office and the quiet was broken with my stomach noises, just awful. I had the hair loss, aching in muscles , couldn't walk upstairs without being out of breath not to mention my throat would get extremely dry and my voice would crack, love to sing in church and can't do that anymore. I was a mess and still have not gotten my voice back. Anyone else have these problems?

This site has made me realize that I am not crazy. Well, now I am... But not for long, I have had my Mirena since 2/2005 after the birth of my daughter. Yes, there was a lot of cramping at first and the insertion was awful. The Dr. reassured me that I would begin to feel better and gave me time frames as to when cramping and bleeding should stop and may even stop completely. Wow, this is great! I thought... I nursed my first year and at the 6 month mark my production slowed. I've heard this was normal. I was proud that I had gotten down to the pre-baby weight. No credit to Mirena. This was strictly due to nursing and some exercise. At the year mark I became more and more irritable, per my husband. I was Forgetful or should I say had difficulty holding conversations due to forgetting simple words... I was depressed and just plain mean... He was right. I didn't notice until he said it, I was angry all of the time. I was reluctant to go on any pills; I feared I would be labeled as crazy. So, instead of meds we ended up needing to see a marriage counselor. Yep, after 5 months of babbling about my childhood and bringing about a normal conversation with my husband again, I end up taking medication. I had been convinced this was simply a little postpartum and everybody is depressed after a baby so I was put on some generic version of Prozac (temporarily). Had some dizzy spells at work (very embarrassing). In the summer of 2006 I started have pain during sex. I could tell it was coming from the ovary. It was on my left side. Of course, my husband had to deal to with the constant feeling of rejection. I was thinking I'm just constipated and the added pressure is well... you get the idea... Hurting everything else. After a few months of this I made an appointment with my OB doctor. I had a 5 cm cyst! I was told this could burst or possibly twist. Then I am restricted to no sex and light exercise. Within 3 months that cyst burst it sent a burning sensation through my abdomen to my upper thighs. I have a lot of abdominal pain and bloating. I went in several times later but was never diagnosed with having anything wrong. Suggested to see an Oncologist (never went). Now to the current year of the Mirena... I mentioned earlier that I had lost all of my weight back to 114 pounds (I'm petite). Within the last 4 months I have put on 17pound and still climbing. I am having some horrible pains on the right side now which I know is the return of another one of those cysts. It must be a dozy, this one really hurts. And having acne breakouts of a teenager. So let’s review... From this post I have experienced the depression, cyst, weight gain, acne, forgetfulness, dizziness, stomach pains, bloating. I want it out I had scheduled to get it done on 7/17. My husband freaked and now has scheduled to get a vasectomy. He has asked me to wait until his procedure has been done before I go through with it. So, I am waiting but am interested to hear how soon we become normal again when all foreign objects and medications has been removed.

I have only taken 2 Fosamax pills (once a week) and after taking the second one, I have experienced severe lower back, right leg, left foot pain. Can anyone tell me how long they experienced this side effect. I will not be taking Fosamax anymore, needless to say. Before taking this medication, I was fine. I am sleep deprived because the pain is worse when lying down.

I saw my family doctor on September 24th for a chronic cough, daig. as bronchitis prescribed levaquin for 10 days (twice per day) with a second repeat if I was not feeling better, tonight I decided to search the side effects of this drug......I am shocked......I have suffered terribly for the past 15 days, gastro/intest issues, extreme gas, joint pain to the point of not being able to get off the toilet, so weak in the legs walking from downstairs to upstairs is totally exhausting. usually I tough things out but this drug is a killer. I am feeling much worst since being on it.
And to learn that it will take weeks vefire I am feeling better....ugh.

4 years ago I was prescribed Compazine for nausea. I went to work and then had to leave because I began to feel extremely "high". When I called my mother I began to drool a little and thats when I got worried. When I got home I took a shower and while I was getting dressed I felt worst. I called my brother upstairs and right then and there is when I was unable to open my mouth and my tongue was numb, I had lockjaw. He rushed me to the doctor where I was given a shot of benadryl and was told to go home and take OTC benadryl. I was in a deep sleep for 23 hours when I got home. SCARY!

First, I have already submitted one post about Zocor side effects but the longer I am washing it out of my system, I am more aware of other side effects I experienced. I want to validate those of you who think that Zocor contributes to/causes depression. For me, there is no doubt in my mind that it cause depression to the point of daily teariness/crying (I am a therapist!). Additionally, I have become aware that it affected my breathing. I could not make it upstairs without stopping, resting, and gasping for breath. This side effect has almost dissipated. I have been off the Zocor for almost a month now. I had tightness in my chest and, at times, pain.
