Vaginal wall symptoms and conditions

I have had Mirena for about a year now. My periods never really went away. They did used to be very heavy before my Mirena was inserted but I seem to bleed or have bloodlike discharge more like three weeks out of four now. I too have experienced sore cyst like acne on my chin which I have never had in my life, and it comes and goes and seems to be in one area. I have not felt like myself at times, as if theres a cloudiness, which has often times made me wonder if I am coming down with a terminal illness. No doubt it is just the effects of the Mirena since I have always been healthy. I have lost complete interest in sex and that was NOT like me, I even need lotion and it takes a lot to get me interested, and I do it only to make him happy now. I feel like a completely different person right now. I have never had a problem maintaining my weight and knew how to take off an extra 5 lbs like no one else but seems like even if I starve myself I have the added puffiness around my abdomen even if I suck it in. I have always been 120 or 125 on a bad day, since I was a teen even after having three kids. If I work out or even if I don't, but now after a year I am 130 on a bad day and 125 on a good day and as I said I have to try extremely hard to have the good day. I have less energy in the gym and my heart rate goes through the roof, it seems much harder to catch my breath. I blame my IUD. I have for the past two days experienced lower pelvic pain, behind my vaginal wall. Im pretty sure it is the Mirena. Doctors seem to keep telling you guys what they think to be true when with all due respect they should be more concerned about what the patients who are actually on this method are experiencing and with that information they really should have more research done on this before making an non educated guess.

I am three week into my Mirena experience, and I am wondering if anyone else has noticed swelling of their vaginal walls?

wow after reading your posts i feel much better!!! i thought i was losing my mind...i have terrible periods, full seven days terrible painful cramps, just periods from hell come to find out i have endometriosis and an ovary thats stuck to the vaginal wall my doctor put me on loestrin 24 and its been the pill from hell im constantly bleeding on and off, my right leg goes numb, i had healthy clear skin and now its really dry with fine bumps, my mood swings are crazy im happy then i want to cry, depressed most definitely, constant headaches and nausea after taking it and this is only my first month taking it, i also noticed that im always cold!!! i would rather put up with my painful period then this crap

I have been on the NuvaRing for almost two years. I have had several of the side effects mentioned on this site to a lesser degree - anxiety, moodiness, depression, fatigue, etc. Lately, intercourse has been painful for me, and I have no sex drive at all. Reading this site makes me feel much better because I have been completely stressed out about my loss of sex drive. Four days ago, my boyfriend and I had sex, and I started bleeding afterwards. The bleeding was very light and lasted for two days. This was a week before I was supposed to remove the ring, so I started freaking out and assumed that I was pregnant and experiencing implantation bleeding. When I was still noticing a bit of blood a couple days later, I removed the NuvaRing and repositioned it, and the bleeding stopped. I am still worried about being pregnant, but I honestly think that the NuvaRing caused an abrasion to my vaginal wall, which is what caused the bleeding. Either way, I am seriously considering taking the NuvaRing out for good. I have been on other types of birth control, and the NuvaRing doesn't seem to be any worse than the others for me, but maybe being on birth control at all is a bad idea. I'm just terrified of resorting to condoms as my only form of birth control. Is it worth it?

Does anyone have problems with the NuvaRing not staying in their vagina????

I thought that Yaz would ba a good option for me, since the the doc explained that Yaz has and equal amount of hormones in each pill, which can help with relieveing symptoms of pms ie mood swings, acne, etc... After being on it for over a week I went in for a well woman exam and everything was fine..that was October 10. Then this past Sunday Nov 4 I thought I was experiencing a yeast infection but when my at home treatment of plain yogurt and no sugar diet wasn't working like normal. I got an appointment for a exam. It turns out I had a severe bacterial infection and lumps on the vaginal wall. They weren't sure if it was hpv or related to the bacterial vaginosis! Well if I didn't have those lumps at my last exam and I haven't been with anyone besides my fiance (who I don't think cheated) how could I have contracted hpv? They have me on some major antibiotic and I'm going back on Nov 26, well please pray for me because I don't know what I would do if this was related to Yaz or my fiance. But I have experienced serious nausea, no appetite, headaches, massive pimple (way worse then the ones I ever had before beginning Yaz), serious mood swings, depression (I had to withdraw from my classes this semester since I could no longer concentrate on any homework much less attend class) I just discovered this site today, and I'm going to quit taking Yaz today! Please if anyone believes me, pray that I can experience a healing miracle. I am also going to pray for the other ladies experiencing these horrible side effects! Sisters unite and don't be afraid to stand up and let your voice be heard that we will not accept medication that does this to us!

i've been on the nuva ring for a year now, and i started having complications about 6 months ago, when i contracted Bacterial Vaginosis, then after that cleared up, i got a bladder infection, and ever since i've been battling yeast infections non stop! i've gained 15 pounds in the past 6 months, always hungry, and in the past 2 months, my right breast has swollen tremendously and there is a constant pain on the side of the breast, i get strange headaches and find myself taking ibprofen for them 3 times a week, i get home from work at 2 am and sleep till noon/one and wake up feeling like i want to go back to bed or take a nap 3-4 hours later, i have a fiance and our SEX DRIVE IS BASICALLY GONE, i never want to engage sex, oral sex doesn't feel good, and when sex begins, it feels like needles scrapping my vaginal wall no matter how much lube we use, and after about 20 min when the session is over, i'm sitting on the toilet with a warm wet wash cloth, holding it to my vagina cuz it burns and stings so bad!!! my fiance just felt horrible and told me i bet it's the ring that is causing all these symptoms, i cried and cried cuz i'm thinking what is happening to me? i went from sex 3-4 times a week, to having sex once every 2 weeks only cuz i felt bad that we wern't doing it enough, and i suffered through it, so after we talked about it and going to see a doctor, i looked up the side effects for the nuva ring and found this site and my fiance and i are relieved to find out what the problem is, i just took the ring out and threw away my next 3 months of it, cuz i am DONE!!!

I've been trying to find out if NuvaRing can cause Pelvic Inflammation. I've never had a problem with sex being painful,but since I started the Ring, Sex is so painful that I hate it. Nothing else has changed, I've only been with my husband, so the only thing I can think of is that it's the ring. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

i find it incredible the yasmin and yaz are both marketed for the treatment of pms and pmdd. it gave me most of the symptoms and more that it states it can help! i wonder how they came to the conclusion it cure many pms symptoms???? i had no problems at all before i went onto yasmin,i had never suffered anxiety or depression before. i am really quite concerned that this is being prescribed to women who are already in quite a bad hormonal situation,this drug can make it sooo much worse!
