What exactly do we need for a class action suit, guys?

Side effects: Severe disorientation as if very drunk (vertigo, dizziness, feeling "out-of-body" or high), hallucinations (including feeling things crawling on me), overwhelming fatigue (as if I hadn't slept for days), muscle soreness (as if I'd exercised for hours), joint and tendon pain (especially in hands, wrists and ankles), insomnia, nausea (lost 8lbs in a few days), racing heartbeat, dehydration, ringing in ears, stomach cramps, yeast infection and spotting.

The drug immediately made me sick but I thought it was just the sinus infection, and unfortunately kept on taking it. The side effects were actually worse AFTER I stopped taking it (I got much worse before I got better).

If you're on this stuff, STOP IMMEDIATELY. If you're scared and experiencing side effects as I did, PLEASE KNOW that they are real (you're not imagining things) but they WILL go away. Listen to your body, rest as much as you can, and drink plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of fluids. Despite the nausea, eat SOMETHING (toast, bananas, applesauce).

This is a 24-hour drug, so (verified by my pharmacist) due to its half life, it takes a MINIMUM of four days to leave your system. I only started feeling non-drugged a full 7 days after I stopped taking it. The fatigue lingered (kind of like getting over the worst bout of flu EVER) but now it's slowly going away, too. This stuff was an overwhelming blow to my physical health (I've NEVER been this sick), but I'm getting better. YOU WILL, TOO!

I had a Kenalog injection in two trigger points (one on the right side of my spine in the shoulder blade area and one on the right side of my spine in the lower neck) on March 27, 2008. Prior to the shot, I was suffering from numbness in my right arm and leg, shooting pains and loss of motor skills in my right arm, severe muscle spasms in my back and neck, tightening in my chest and back, severe migraines, night sweats and hot flashes, vertigo/dizziness, shortness of breath, heart palpitations and chest pains to name a few. Since the injection, I have noticed an increase of heart palpitations, dizziness, severe migraines, blurry vision, excessive weight gain, severe hot flashes, tiredness, and have had trouble sleeping. In the last two weeks, I have noticed a quarter sized indentation where I received the shot in my shoulder blade area and a baseball sized indentation where I received the shot in my lower neck area. I was not made aware of ANY side effects to this shot and will DEFINITELY not get another one. It is only a month later and I have not felt any improvement in my symptoms that I had before or after the shot. I received the shot, as my doctor felt it would help with what they think is a spazzed muscle in my back shoulder blade area near the spine. The doctor who gave me the shot stated if it didn't help, they would try giving me a cervical epidural, which has its own set of scary risks! I am beginning to think I will have to live with my symptoms for the rest of my life!

I started Topamax a month ago. My neurologist told me to start out taking 50mg in the morning and evening. I am a nurse and have read that this med needs to be started out on small doses and slowly increase every few days. When I questioned him about it, I was told that I should be fine. Although I did not follow his directions and start out small and increase it every 3 days. After about a week I was on the full dose of 100mg daily. All carbonated drinks tasted flat, I was having a funny taste in my mouth, and I was sleeping more. Within the past week, I have been having numbness in my hands and feet to the point that my hands go completely numb. The tighter I tried to grip something, the worse it got. I also am having severe dizziness. I am unable to stand and walk without feeling like I'm going to get sick and fall. Forget trying to drive. I work 45 mins away and have no other option on getting to work. During the time that I have started to have the dizziness, I have also noticed a drop in my blood pressure. I do not even have to be standing or moving to have the vertigo start, I can be laying down. When I called the Dr, I was told to abruptly stop the med. No weaning. Everything I can pretty much deal with but, my main concern is the severe vertigo (dizziness) and low blood pressure. Is anyone else having this issue?

I have been taking Omeprazole since December 2007 now so 2 and a half months.

I had the dose increased to 40mg 3 weeks ago as 20mg wasn't curing the burning in my throat.

For a few weeks now i have had increasing vertigo/dizziness and palpitations. I only linked the 2 to the medication just yesterday, googled it just now and confirmed my suspicions to the Omeprazole.

Other feeling i have had since taking this medication...

Severe dizziness
vertigo
palpitations
headaches/migraines
weakness
fatigue
sweating
nausea
bloating
stomach cramps
visual problems
intolerance to bright lights
aching joints
chest pain

Now my question to myself is do i come off the tablets and endure the misery of my acid reflux? surely there must be something else we can take for our stomach problems that don't cause these awful side effects.
Anyone tried anything else that worked and didn't make them unwell?

PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS POST IF YOU HAD THIS SYMPTOM!!!

I started the nuva ring a week ago and for the last two days I have had the craziest vertigo/dizziness in my life. Seriously, Dr's can't seem to tell me what it is- and I'm wondering if it's the ring... just respond with a "yes"

I'm experiencing severe vertigo, dizziness and debilitating headaches. It does curve my nausea for pregnancy, but I've found that taking half the dose prevents the other side effects from being so severe. Anyone else experience this?

I have rcvd 2 Lupron injections so far. After the first injection, I experienced a strange memory loss. I was driving home and I totally did not know where I was. I couldn't remember how to get home. I was terrified. Finally after driving around and around for an hour I found my way home. I was hysterical crying from the fright. My doctor said it couldn't be from the Lupron. Yet others say they had same side effect. After the second shot I experience Vertigo (dizziness). I felt drunk and kept falling down. When I sleep I feel like my mattress is floating and turning sideways. I keep feeling like I'm going to fall off of it. I have to drive to work and when I'm this dizzy its so dangerous. Its so difficult to work. I get headaches and feel sick to my stomach all the time. I get joint aches and severe depression. I already have severe neuropathy from the chemo I took. Now this! After reading your posts, I am scared to death. I don't want to take this any more. I'd rather die from the cancer than deal with this.

Started taking Lipitor in Januay 06 after Dr. said my cholesterol was high. No low cholesterol diet, just put me on Lipitor. Blood test last week showed it really worked -- down over 100 points. Now I'm beginning to believe I am having severe side effects from the drug - especially after reading some of the posts here. Have been having the following for last 2 months -- vertigo, dizziness, heavy headedness, neck pain (feels like my neck cannot support my head or that I have a weight on my head pushing me down), sinus pressure, ringing in ears, clumsiness, to name a few. Went to Dr. two weeks ago, he suggested an "inner ear virus". Just today he re-prescribed more Lipitor even though he said my cholesterol was "excellent".

I rarely ever cry, yet I cried today when I found this board. I am so very relieved to see that I'm not alone. I have been taking Yasmin for over a year now and I've had so many side effects from it, I never knew that all this could be from my BC.

For the last year I have been struggling with Vertigo (dizziness), I've had MRI's, CTscans, blood tests, you name it, I've had it, and they have never figured out what has caused it. I've had some awful mood swings, but I'm glad that I can feel them so I can control them. I've been depressed for the last 9 months, and I'm slowly starting to break out of it. I've had lower abdominal pain, pains in my legs and calves, chest pains, abnormal b.m.'s, nausea, headaches and migraines. Half the time my mind is so foggy that I can't complete a sentence without having to pause and figure out where I was at.
I don't have the memory that I use to, and I can't get my brain to function as quickly as it did.
Also, the only allergy I had before was to latex, now it seems that I'm allergic to everything and I'm suffering from some pretty mean allergies this year. The congestion is so awful sometimes that I have panic attacks because it feels like I can't breathe and I'm not getting any oxygen what-so-ever. All of these symptoms are out of the norm. for me. I used to be so active and moving non-stop, now I count down the seconds until I can sit down again.

I'm going to try weaning myself off of the Yasmin so I won't have a complete withdrawal from it. Because I've noticed that when I finish my cycle and go to the placeboes I start to get some severe low-abdominal cramping.

I'm crossing my fingers and hope that this makes me feel better. I can't wait to feel like my normal self once again, this has been so hard for me to deal with since I've always been an independant woman, and now I have to depend on someone to help me out from time to time.

Thank you all for being so strong to step up and listing your complaints about this evil drug.

RaeAnna
