Yasmin has helped A LOT with my cramping, fatigue, a bit w/mood swings and "period poopies." At least now I can work during my period before I would have to run to the bathroom, and take vicodin for the cramping and deal w/extreme fatigue. The only thing that worries me is that my left calf always seems swollen and definitely gets rock hard when I go for a walk and once I had pain deep in the calf. I am definitely speaking to my dr. asap!! and taking the advice of our fellow women and not refilling until I feel safe!!

I am 24 years old. I started using the Nuvaring about 9 months ago, back in November shortly after my youngest son was born. In January, only two months after starting it, I was beginning to have severe stomach pains and a lot of nausea that would come and go throughout the day. I went into the emergency room one night because it got so bad and they told me that I was going to have to have my gallbladder removed due to large stones. I'm trying to figure out whether anyone else has had any similar issues with the ring. I have read here and there that gallbladder disease is a side effect but I also have issues with it in my family. Has anyone else had a problem with this? I have also dealt with a lot of depression, headaches, slight weight gain, mood changes (just as bad, if not worse then while I was pregnant) and I am going to have to schedule an eye exam because it seems like the past few months, my eye sight has just gone down hill fast. I have never had to wear glasses or contacts.
Has anyone else out there had issues with their gallbladder and eyesight? Most of the posts that I see are saying issues with hair loss and depression. I am seriously thinking about talking to my doctor about changing methods, I was just wondering if there are people having symptoms like mine or whether I need to attribute them to something else. Any information would be helpful, Thanks.

HELP!!!!
Ok heres my story- I herniated a disc in my back about 4 years ago. I had a microdicectomy at the time and took prednisone starting at 40mg and weening off for a 14 day cycle. i had NO problems.
4 months ago i reherniated the disc. after 2 cycles of 14 days each on prednisone and 2 epideral injections in my spine it DID NOT work. i then started vicodin. i upgraded to percocet about 2 months in. i had the surgery again and after the surgery...yup another 14 day cycle of prednisone. i am off the percocet now ( i was on about 40mg per day for 14 days) and just finished the prednisone 4 days ago. this is what I am feeling:
restless
crawling out of my skin
sweating just stopped yesterday
heart pounding
cant sleep
Do you think this is from coming of the prednisone????? If it is how long does this usually last??

this medication works fine. as long as I keep track of not going over the 4000 mg of acetaminophen.
My vicodin RX jar clearly states there is acetaminophen in this medication. If people can read there is NO problem with this
It is the ONLY medication that helps my pain/

I DISLOCATED MY SHOULDER AND THANK GOODNESS FOR THESE! I HAVE TAKEN THEM BEFORE WITH AN IMPACTED TOOTH AND I LOVED THEM THEN TOO. ITS CRAZY TO SEE ALL OF THESE TESTIMONIES AND THE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAYS LORTAB AFFECTS PEOPLE. THE DEFINITELY "MAKE ME HIGH" TO BE HONEST. BUT HELL I LIKE IT, AND I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ADDICTION SO WHY NOT. =) FUNNY THING IS I CANNOT TAKE VICODIN BY ITSELF. ILL HAVE NO PAIN RELIEF AND AN UPSET STOMACH. STRANGE BUT EVEN FROM READING THESE CLAIMS IT IS EASY TO SEE THAT EVERYONES BODY IS AFFECTED DIFFERENTLY.

I have been taking lisinopril for about one month. Shortly after taking this drug I began to experience muscle aches and pain. Just figured because I do a lot of yard work this was the problem. I have been "eating" Goody powders and Vicodin and Motrin.. still no real relief for the muscle pain. I cannot sleep at night..this is why I am up now. The pain is so intense that I cannot sleep.Right now I Have no pain..but, just as sure as I lay down the pain will come. Thought about going to the ER but I decided to do research first.I take the pill at night because I could not function too well in the day. Felt sleepy, mood altered..just could not do it. I am not taking it anymore beginning tomorrow. The trash is the best place for this drug.I've noticed tonight tingling in my legs and foot as well as aches in my fingers. I'm done with this drug. I know what's best for me. So glad that I found this site. Kinda thought that I was nuts too.

I had the Mirena inserted Nov 2008. The Dr. was unable to get it inserted the first time so I had to go back and they had to stretch my uterus because it is S shaped and then use an ultrasound to get it in place. The pain was unbelievable for a couple days. After that it was ok until my menstrual cycle. I was placed on Vicodin because the pain was so bad. It is now 6 months later and I am still have some pain around my menstrual cycle every month. I have not gained any weight I have actually lost 10lbs. The thing that bothers me the most is the acne. Its very severe. I finally got it mostly under control. I think my menstrual cycle is almost completely gone. Everything seems to be getting better.

DO NOT GET MIRENA! I am only 24 and mother of a 16 month old beautiful baby girl. I decided to have Mirena put in 2 months ago. The insertion itself was extremely painful, after being told it wouldn't hurt. I bled for a couple weeks after. Everything seemed fairly normal according to symptoms of insertion. Then, a couple weeks ago, I noticed I was having a lot of pain during sex. This progressed into severe lower ab (mainly on the right side) and back pain. I was sent to ER by my OB. They did a pelvic exam and couldn't see the strings thus an ultrasound was ordered. The IUD was there but so was fluid within my pelvis. They told me I had Pelvic Inflammatory Disease PID. I was put on 2 antibiotics and vicodin and sent home. I made a follow up with an OB the next day (mine was on vaca.). I asked him if the IUD caused the PID and of course he said no. I also asked if he suggested I remove the IUD and again he said no. I opted to anyways. The removal was worse than delivering my 9lb 5oz baby. I was crying, screaming and shaking. The Doc kept asking "Oh, does that hurt?" Eventually I yelled "No, it feels good!" He finally removed it told me take my meds and left. I've been bleeding since (that was a week ago) Well I reported him. Either way, after 4 days of antibiotics i was still in severe pain, very very tired and nauseous. So I called my OB and they admitted me to the ER. I had to stay on IV antibiotics for two days. I left the hospital a little sensitive in the pelvis but for the most part pain free. I was and am still just soooo tired and have waves of nausea. I lasted two days pain free and last night the pain returned. I am still on a round of antibiotics which should be done in a few days. I also am very bloated, have sore breasts, increased appetite regardless of the nausea, and peeing a lot. Not sure if i now have a bladder infection but it sure feels like pregnancy symptoms. They did preg. test in ER but came out neg. i think its too soon to tell. nevertheless I am scared and traumatized! I don't know what to do. I have a follow up in 2 weeks with OB. hopefully pain will subside and symptoms are just from PID. Any insight would be helpful....but please don't get the mirena! I am now afraid of my future....i want another baby some day but am unsure of how much damage has really been done.

hello again ladies. i'm 3 weeks 4 days post removal of mirena and i'm just having my first proper period. it is heavier than normal, but bearable. i was just wondering if anyone else has really bad headaches after removal. i'm not usually a headache sufferer, i was wondering if it could be hormone related.
the heartburn i was previously experiencing has completely cleared up, (so far) the pregnancy feeling has gone and i'm no where near as agitated or moody. i'm so glad i had the evil device removed i do feel better but not completely yet.
also i don't know if anyone else has the the same problem, but i've been having blood tests because i was feeling ill and having joint pain. i had blood tests which showed a raised esr level. i had the test repeated 3 weeks post removal and its the level has dropped quite a lot. it was 20 which is the lowest result i've had so far. i've been tested for lupus arthritis etc, could mirena have been the culprit all along? hmmmmmm..........

I just got a root canal because my tooth is "dying" and it was causing severe pain throughout the whole right side of my face, head, and ear. I asked the Ortho not to give me Percocet or Vicodin because I get nauseous / puke profusely. I took an Ultracet and luckily I only felt a twinge of nausea... just on the brink of nauseous but I could live with it. It also made me feel really dopey and high. I liked the feeling because I had been days of severe pain and finally it was gone after the numbing from the dentist and the Ultracet... However, when I took one just before bed (4 hrs after 1st dose) I did get nauseous. I also felt twitchy and restless. My mom takes Ultram religiously for her headaches, and takes two at a time... I don't know how she does it. She is dependent on them. I went to work today and took one because my face started pulsing again. It was interesting because I didn't get nauseous and I felt more productive. I did get dopey for about 45 minutes but it went away and the pain stayed gone well after that. So in my short experience with this drug, I've noticed the side effects aren't as bad during the day (maybe because I'm moving around more and not concentrating on them). I've also noticed that if taken during the day I got a little bit of an energy burst after the 45 minute dopey phase passed. Now it's night time again and my face hurts again, so instead of taking a full pill, I broke it in half (Verified with pharmacist that it's okay), and took an 800mg ibuprofen. Hopefully, I won't get sick and I'll sleep through the night without a pounding face alarm clock.

I am a perfectly healthy, 24-year old young lady in excellent mental and physical health. I eat right, exercise regularly and I have no history of any health problems. In August of 2007 I started taking Yaz, it was prescribed by my gynecologist and I always got free samples, so I began taking it. In November of 2007 (almost 4-months after starting Yaz) I began having severely painful and scary gallbladder attacks. After multiple tests, I found out that at 22 years of age, my gallbladder was functioning at 0% and had to be removed immediately. I always thought that it was odd and my family did too because there is no history of gallbladder disease in my family at all and I was way too young and healthy to have my gallbladder fail. During the first few months of taking Yaz, I noticed that I was moody and tired beyond belief. I lost a few pounds though. For the first couple of months, my acne got worse, but then around the same time that I had my gallbladder removed, my acne started to improve pretty rapidly. A couple of months later I was diagnosed with IBS and have suffered digestive problems since.
I was in a relationship when I started taking Yaz and for no reason at all I lost all interest in sex and developed anxiety and an aversion to touch and in January of 2008 I broke things off with my boyfriend for no reason at all. In March of 2008 I started having severe anxiety and panic attacks. At times I even had thoughts of dying and thought that "at least I won't feel this way anymore."
To soothe those feelings I began drinking and partying and found that I felt better with the calming effects of alcohol. I drank at least 4 nights a week for about two months until I started gaining weight from the drinking. I don't have an addictive personality at all and so I just quit drinking cold turkey. It tasted horrible anyways.
In May 2008 I met the most wonderful man in the world, and yet, I was unable to ever really "feel" anything for him and I always felt emotionless and empty. My anxiety and panic attacks continued and I absolutely had no sex drive. We would have sex, but eventually my aversion to it took over and we began fighting for no reason at all and I became panicky and depressed again. In July 2008 I developed a severe allergic reaction to peanuts and had to be taken to the emergency room. I have never had any allergies and have enjoyed peanuts all throughout my life. In August of 2008 I developed an allergy to penicillin and broke out in hives. I had never been allergic to anything in my life, and all of a sudden, I had two allergies!!!
In September of 2008 my immune system went down the drain and I developed a severe and life-threatening MRSA infection. I was in and out of the emergency room for a week straight and didn't get better from it for over 3 weeks. The doctors thought I had to have some sort of AIDS or Cancer to be getting MRSA at such a young age....but all tests came back negative multiple times and they just shrugged me off as an exception to the rule.
In October of 2008 I got a severe intestinal infection called c. diff.
This took two weeks for me to get over and was absolutely horrible!!
What was happening to my body??
What was happening to my immune system??
In November I started having problems with my blood sugar and I always felt like I was on the verge of passing out unless I ate on a constant basis.
It was horrible!!!
By this time, my acne was gone, my periods were shorter...thanks Yaz.
But, I had
Migraines/Severe Headaches
Fluctuating Appetite with weird cravings for salty and sweet foods
Low Blood Sugar with light-headedness and weakness
Blurry Vision (even though my eye doctor has told me repeatedly that I have perfect vision)
Brain Fog
Severe Anxiety
Panic Attacks
Nervousness and Restlessness
Inability to pay attention
Moodiness/Snappiness
Depression
Long episodes of ataraxia where I just couldn't feel any kind of emotion
NO SEX DRIVE
An aversion to touch
Hot flashes
Body aches
Thinning hair
My gallbladder quit functioning
I had a very weak immune system
and I had developed allergies to things I had been in contact with all my life...
I had back aches and neck pains
And I had severe Insomnia in spite of the fact that I was exhausted all the time! And when I did sleep it was worth nothing....
In January of 2009 I quit my job and dumped my 'perfect' boyfriend.
In February I was unable to get a hold of any Yaz bc and therefore since I wasn't having sex, I skipped February. I felt better in February and never made any connection and so I got back on in March and since then I have never felt worse in my life!!!! I've been doing research on the effects that Yaz and other bc hormones have on our bodies and it is astonishing how much it can psychologically and physically damage our bodies. I have felt like I am going crazy and slowly dying for NO REASON AT ALL>
Yaz is a nightmare!!!
I have been off of it now for 2 days and even though I still have some of the same symptoms, I can slowly feel myself getting back to normal. I've been told that it can take up to 2-3 months to get bc completely out of your system and for your body to adjust so I'm coping and being hopeful.
During the last month or so, I have even considered taking anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications because my life is a nightmare, luckily I looked deeper into my situation and discovered the culprit b4 I put something else in my body...
Yaz is not worth it.
I will never recommend it to anyone.
The pharmaceutical companies don't give a crap about us!!!
They just want our money and don't give a shit what their chemicals do to our bodies!!!
When I have little girls of my own someday, I will never let them take b.c.
I have been letting all of my friends and family know.
I would love to participate in a class action suite or an anti-Yaz campaign....
Anything. If you know let me know because I don't ever want anyone to have to go through what I have gone through with Yaz.
Ladies....Please do significant research before you ever put anything into your bodies.

I Just started NR a week ago on the 1st day of my period, I have already gained 5lbs, have constant cramping (not severe but noticeable) my boobs hurt, and I have constant lethargy. Went for a walk today with my BF and could hardly stand it. Just wanted to lie down...
We then got in a huge fight because I was freaking out about every little thing. I was crying and screaming at him, and we almost broke up. I am normally not like this. So I just took it out. Im sure my OBGYN would say to give my body a chance to adjust but I can't take another day! So Im probably messing up my Menstrual cycle but I'll take that chance especially after reading all the experiences of you other poor ladies.
I had tried to get an IUD after many of my friends recommended it. I chose Mirena although I am usually anti hormone, but my doctor says that the hormones in Mirena do not go into your blood stream but stay locally in your uterus. My friends who have Mirena love it, less periods, no cramping, no side effects. My one friend who had the non hormone one had terrible heavy bleeding, severe cramps etc. So after TWO TERRIBLY painful attempts at inserting the Mirena, ( I had to come back a second time on Valium, Vicodin, and a pill to dilate my cervix) I was told I am not a candidate because my uterus is TOO SMALL! The U.S only has two IUD's. Europe, Canada, even Mexico has smaller sizes available.
Sooooooo, long story short, I either have to fly to one of these countries, (England is farthest but will do it for free) or find another option. My friend just told me about a promising sounding option called Lea's shield- ****** which is like an updated, easy to use, strangely shaped diaphragm. Its available from Planned Parenthood, and due to its unique design is one size fits all so you don't have to get it fitted and can order it online. Hope this helps. Thanks everyone for your frank sharing, hope I have helped someone too!

Oh my god, I am freaking out now that I am reading all of these!! I had mirena put in 11 months ago because I am in the U.S army and I am deploying to Iraq in April 2009, and I wanted to have lighter periods. I also thought that it would be easier than remembering to take a pill and getting prescriptions constantly refilled. I HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE PERIOD IN ALMOST 11 MONTHS! Thats not normal!! On top of that I am experiencing pain while having sex. So bad that I can't walk. that is the same pain that I felt when I had it put in. When I went to get this thing in, my doctor told me that I would be able to go back to work after my appointment. That was not the case!! they released me no more than ten mins later, and I walked in a daze to my car. I felt so sick, I had to turn around and go back into the office. I was dizzy. I remember a woman asking me if i was okay. I said NO and they told me I could lay down on one of the beds, and I no sooner made it back there when I vomited in the sink. Iwas in so much pain that I could not stand up! they had to call my husband after getting the number off my phone and then he came to get me. He had to carry me to my car. They wrote me a prescription for 2 Vicodin!! It didn't even touch the surface of my pain! I took both of those and 3 Tylenol and I still could not walk! I had to take the next day off from work as well. It was horrible. I do like the convenience of Mirena, but the side effects are not pleasant!! I do not want to have kids, I want to try to find a doctor that will preform a hysterectomy on me.

I've had the MIRENA in for 6 weeks today. Immediately after I stood up from the table at the doctor's office once it was inserted ((very PAINFUL insertion)), i almost fainted. I felt very weak and began throwing up. After leaving the clinic, I had to pull over on the side the road quite a few times before I made it home because I was so light headed and weak I thought I was going to wreck. I began thinking right then and there that maybe this wasn't for me. Maybe my body was already telling me that it didn't want this thing in there. How could this birth control be doing this to me I thought?? Then the cramps started. They felt like contractions at certain points...very painful and there was no relief. I tried motrin, Tylenol, & vicodin...they lasted for 2 days then I seemed to be fine for a little while. The headaches came in the first week of getting it, but I didn't put it together. I thought I was just stressed out. About 3 weeks ago, my boobs began to be really sore and a lot bigger then they were before, I'm extremely tired all the time yet can't seem to fall asleep at night when I'm actually trying, I seem to be very forgetful of small things, extremely up & down moody, no patience at all with anyone..especially with my daughter, careless, loss interest in almost everything, very depressed, crying all the time, bloated, blurred vision, also my left arm goes numb quite a bit...AND THESE HEADACHES are so horrible. I'm practically living on BC powder because it seems to be the only medicine to get rid of it for awhile at least. The thing I liked about this birth control is there was supposedly no weight gain...well I've gain 10 lbs in 6 weeks and I've been the same weight since after I had my daughter who is 4 now. I thank GOD that I know it's the MIRENA doing all these things to me so I can just get it out and be normal again. I did not have one of these symptoms before this thing was inserted, and I'm very proud to say that it will be removed tomorrow. I feel so bad for all of you that had this thing in for a year, or two, or even three and didn't know what was causing all your symptoms and emotional distress. I also thank GOD for all of you and for finding this website because the person I've become in the last 6 weeks definitely isn't me, and is not someone I would like to continue being since it only seems to be getting worse instead of better. Not only am I suffering from this emotionally & physically, but also everyone around me because I've become the biggest CRAB and don't care about anything anymore. I urge women to think this through before they get this MIRENA implanted. It's not for everyone, and as many women have fantastic results with it, there are probably that many that are battling all the same symptoms I am & are miserable. Had I known some of these things were even a possibility with this birth control, I would've never put this in my body. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. Everyone is different, but you know yourself. Don't let the doctor try to sugar coat things for you. Do the research before you decide to go with MIRENA. I would rather accidentally get pregnant than have to go through all this :( GOOD LUCK everyone

I am taking Levaquin now, but after reading all of this I plan on not finishing the 3 pills I have left. My head is numb and feeling so weird. I have a constant headache which I hardly ever have and I feel dizzy and really out of it. My stomach is sick and nauseated. Feeling almost depressed which I don't know why. I just don't feel right. My shoulders feel heavy and tingly and I feel more sick now than when I started taking it 7-8 days ago.

I have been on Levoxyl since I was 19. I am now 49 and a yr ago because of cronic fatigue I took myself off. I noticed I was awake again, my back, legs and teeth quit hurting, I went back on it because the blood test came back funky and after just 2 weeks back on it I feel awful. My back and body hurt so severely I cant stand it and Im taking vicodin I had laying around the house. Tonight its almost unbeable and is interfering with my job. There has got to be an alternative to this type of pain..

I had Mirena placed on Dec.31 and it was a painful experience, the cramping after was so bad I didn't want to mive after I drove myself home doubled over in pain.after 2 days of cramping it went away and everything seemed fine, until this week I have had extremely bad cramps .I have endometriosis so I didn't know if it was from that or the Mirena but it seems much more severe since Ive had the Mirena put in . I took a vicodin and it didn't help.I haven't gotten my first period since Ive had it put in but I am spotting very lightly off and on . I don't know if the cramps are due to the fact that my period is due and not coming or the endo or the Mirena .after reading this I think its the Mirena .Im not sure if I should wait it out or have it removed but I have an appt tomorrow .any suggestions or advice?

I got off Diovan because of diminished energy, drowsiness, and all-around lack of ability to focus after several years on it. I didn't realize it was the Diovan until I got off it and got on a weight loss med: Phentermine. I felt like I was 20 again. But that was short-lived of course because you can only take that stuff for 90 days, max. Diovan was bad for me. Then the Doc prescribed Lisinopril and I was on that for a couple of months until a week ago. I'd been suffering with a dry cough for a week when I told the Doc about the side effect and I've been off Lisinopril for 7 days. The cough is still but slowly going away. Bouts of coughing are no longer every hour on the hour but about 2-3 times a day and still all night long. I'm off of any BP meds now and my BP is 150/90, same as it was on both Lisinopril and Diovan. Apparently it takes a while for the Lisinopril coughing spells to go away.

I am a 52 yr old woman who was rushed by ambulance to the hospital on Sunday 4, 2009. I awaken with a horrible ripping pain in my lower left side and back. It reminded me of labor pain although it was worse because I knew I wasn't about to have a baby. I could barely walk and the pain kept me bent over, and burning in agony. After being x-rayed and diagnosed I was told I had a very tiny kidney stone, along with a UTI. I was told they could manage my pain better if they kept me overnight, with hopes I'd pass the tiny stone by urinating in a little strainer cup, to catch the stone. I've not seen the stone yet, and this is the 3rd day. Anyway, I awaken in the hospital after being knocked out by pain medication, with an excruciating headache, as if someone was putting pressure on my neck and back of head. I also noticed a big red rash on my forehead. The nurse gave me benadryl, and continued my doses of Bactrim, and Flomax. When I was released the next day I was given a prescription to fill, Bactrim 2X 3 day therapy, Flomax, and Vicodin. Recovering at home I've had an excrutiating headache the entire 3 days.. I had nausea, felt chills, had no appetite, and felt dizzy and as if I'd throw up every time I got up. I ran a low grade fever of 100*. After reading this site I know that it had to be the Bactrim that caused all those horrendous side effects. This is the fourth day since I was diagnosed and I still have a UTI, and will be calling my doctor in the morning, thanks to post like these.

I was prescribed Ultram for chronic back and neck pain because I had been on Vicodin for a long time but did not want to be on a strong narcotic long-term. Ultram is effective, but i have been on it almost a year and if I run out and don't happen to have any more, after about 12-24 hours I start sweating and I feel weak and can't sleep, plus legs twitch uncontrollably. I guess all pain meds have their problems.

I am 34 years old and was prescribed Advair about two years ago. I have had minor asthma issues over the years but nothing major. So the doctor gave me an inhaler. Then one winter I get sick and started going through the inhaler in about a month, so he prescribed Advair.
To back up I had lower back surgery for a bulged disc. So I had a lot of pain and was taking vicodin. Six months after surgery my back started feeling better than it had for a long time. I was able to exercise and get by with one vicodin in the morning. This went on for about a year. The pain was stable for the most part, but would increase every now and then.
Now enters the Advair. When I first started taking it I felt a little weird but it made my breathing a lot better. After a little while I would forget to take it or just feel like I didn't need it. But I could not stop taking it because my breathing got to bad without it. Over time my pain was getting worse and worse. I ended up being put on time release morphine because we thought the back pain was increasing. Then after being on morphine it seemed like I was always sick. I have been to the hospital twice for breathing and lung infections. I thought my back pain was turning into sciatica!!!! All along it is this F@#$ ADVAIR!!!! I have had a super short temper, daily head ache's,depression, HORRIBLE PAIN in my legs and back. I am so glad I found this site. ADVAIR IS EVIL!!!!! I have stopped taking it for two days now. I really need help from anyone who has info about quitting it. PLEASE CONTACT ME. Thanks : )

I have had mirena for just over a month. While it didn't hurt when I had in inserted, the pain afterwards so uncomfortable I ended up taking one of my husband's vicodin. I really don't have any serious side effects to report other than bloating and breast tenderness. I have had SERVE breast tenderness, they feel like they did when I first found out I was pregnant. And while I know Mirena is 99.9% effective, I worry about that .01%. I have an increased appetite and until reading these posts I never associated it with Mirena. However, I never used to be able to eat this much, even when I was pregnant. I can put away crazy amounts of food and I find myself hungry more often than normal. I really hope this goes away, as I feel very uncomfortable is a bloated person's body, I was already unhappy with my weight previously, as I weighed 120lbs. before baby and am 150lbs. wayyyy post baby. I have gained at least 7lbs since being on mirena. Its very disheartening. However I am going to try a diuretic and see how that works. I am just unsure because of all the warnings. I am however, glad to know I'm not the only person who is experiencing these symptoms.

This is my first month on these pills. So far I think they are great. My cramps before were so bad I had a prescription for vicodin, now they have disappeared. I haven't had any break outs, and I use to be able to tell when my period would start because I would break out. My moods have been better than ever!! No swings or depression. I started these pills from microgestin to control my fibroid. I'll right back in 2 months, but this pill works for me.

I'm a 25 year old female. I received my first shot August '07. I had noticed an increase of nausea but blamed it on stress. In October '07 I was hospitalized for a week! I had SEVERE nausea/vomiting and horrific pelvic pain, on my right side only. I received the 2nd and 3rd shots, and none of it connected for me until my grandma asked me if all my health problems occurred AFTER the shots began. Since the beginning of the series, I've been in an out of the ER with severe pain and nausea/vomiting. I had an exploratory laparotomy last November. My Ob/Gyn said she found "spots" on my right ovary and under my uterus. She biopsied 1, said it wasn't endometriosis, but gave me the treatment (Lupron) for it anyway to try it out to see it it helped. Lupron effectively shuts down your reproductive system. I was on the therapy for 9 months, and for 8 months I was essentially pain free (yay! right?) But the pain is back now, worse than before. My Ob/Gyn thinks she misdiagnosed me now. Awesome. I'm taking a combination of Indocin, Ibuprofen, Relafen and when I have it, Vicodin, to help with the pain. I stopped the birth control pills, they've been no help. So now its time to try and find a way to fix me. I hope there is a way. I do believe this is all because of Gardasil.

I have just started lyrica and read on different sites and its main site before i decided for myself to take it since im in constant pain from multiple accidents i have fbro- and lumbar and disc back problems etc, yo get anyway i have tried a lot of different meds for pain yo name it almost tried it, i found the best thing that worked for me was one vicodin es plus one 75mg lyrica, my pain subsides for hours by at least 50% i can actually do a lot more since i have started it and even lost four pounds since last week. I read a lot of people gain weight, get swollen feet, feel drunkish all that, the only time i feel like that is when i take the lyrica with my xxnax i have anxiety disorder as well very bad. ADHD . If i dint have to take pills believe me i wouldn't..But as all pills narcotic and narcotic they only mask the pain, my brother informed me since i can do more take it a little slow baby steps cause if you over exert your self your pain is 6 times worst.I have lost 89 pounds so far HOORAH! Just 40 more to go, baby steps..lol..anyhow i could talk all day, i try to keep a positive attitude which helps, god and prayer help, and try to walk around without a chip on my shoulder because i don't feel because if im miserable everyone else shouldn't be, ya know ..Its not rgt. Cripe if i was rich i would be waited on hand and foot but unfortunately im not rich and could never afford that unless i won and played the lotto.lol..i had to even get samples from a different doctor other than my regular doctor cause he girls were messing up in the office or Michigan State was, which lately they are changing all there systems and messing alot of low income people up, and that blows too..I will continue will lyrica...It works better than neurontin which gave me headaches, and weigh gain and nausea. I actually on neutrontin gained 10 pounds in 5 days, i quit NEURONTIN! Lyrica is really good, everyones body chemistry is different so, give it a try it might just work as good as it does for me. Thanks for listening and feel free to write me anytime here, thanks! Skully725
