my 6yr old daughter was put on singulair at the age of 4 she had a reaction to nuts and had the allergy testing she was put on singulair and claritin and nasacort .(so she has been on the medication now for 14 months) about 3and 1/2 weeks ago she quit eating we had her to the dr several times they said it was all in her head that she could eat if she wanted to.she was then put in the hospital for 4 days they did the scope down the stomach found nothing i took her off all her meds because i didn't want her taking them with no food in her. she came home from the hospital and i put her back on the meds as the doctor requested and within 2 days she was crying non stop hitting me and telling me that she wanted to kill herself and everyone around her.she was putting her fists in everyines face and was very angry.she would cry and tell us that she didn't know why she was so angry.we took her back off of the meds because we were treating her for the stomach acid from not eating and within 4 days she was like a new kid.she is now eating ..happy ..and doing good in school..this is the 3rd time this yr on this med that she has quit eating we were told that it was all in her head .after reading everyones comments on here i called her doctor today and he said it could be the medication but they would have to put her back on it to check and i refused.no more singulair or clairitin for my children

okinawak so sorry to hear about your daughter. All I can relate to you guys is my personal experience. I was on Norimin for a couple of years from the age of 19. For the last year (up until a couple of months ago) I was on Yasmin. I experienced anxiety whilst taking these pills which I attributed to stress, but since I have been off the pills I am feeling fantastic. I stopped taking Yasmin because I was experiencing other things like pains in my calves, hair loss and getting spider veins, loss of libido (I'm only 23). :-( I decided upon reading other experiences on this page to stop taking Yasmin. I am happy to report back that I am feeling great... Fantastic in fact. I won't say that its directly related to Yasmin as I have no way of proving that. All I can say is how I felt during and after. And for the last three months I have felt greater confidence in my ability to deal with what life throws at me. I am feeling happier all the time, and I think my libido is improving. All the best to you guys, and all those out there worried about symptoms, please go see your doctor!

I'm 21 and have been on Yasmin for 3 and a half months for bad acne. I was originally on Dianette but experience such severe side effects I honestly thought I'd be hospitalized, so I asked my doctor for Yasmin. All was fine for the first 2 months, but I'm now getting horrible pain in my right leg which won't go away no matter what, coupled with a pins and needles type feeling in my feet. I'm also developing spider veins on my legs, It's got to the point where I'm scared to look at my legs now in case any more have shown up! I've decided I'll come off it in a month or so, but don't know what to do to keep my acne at bay. Does anyone know of any natural remedies? I don't wanna keep messing around with drugs and hormones in case I cause long term damage!
Also, has anyone else gone to their doctor about these side effects, only to find the doctor says 'its nothing to do with the pill' when clearly it is! I saw 3 different doctors about my dianette problems, none of them believed it was down to the pill, but when I stopped taking it, my problems disappeared :/

I went on Paxil for 7 months. It worked great and took away my anxiety but I was engaging in dangerous behaviors--casual sex with multiple partners, drug and alcohol use and neglecting my job and relationships. I had a pretty good withdrawal. Had some head zaps, got a really nasty sinus infection and fever and experienced mania and rage for the first two weeks. I'd say it takes a good year for your body to come back to stabilization. ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION are survival mechanisms that your body uses to tell you that something is wrong in your life. It's a warning sign that something needs to change--you are on the wrong path. Once I started addressing my life issues, the anxiety slowly disappeared. The thing is that people are lazy. They don't want to change how the eat, their exercise, their jobs, their life, and the way that they view the world. This is the hard way. The pill is the easy way, but ironically the hardest way in the long run. Our modern world makes us sick. My advice--get off the couch, eat some vegetables and get moving. Meditation is a GREAT way to get the same effect as the SSRIs. Until you try all that and still haven't gotten anywhere, stay off the drugs.

I was given Reglan in an IV early in my pregnancy for constant vomiting and dehydration. I was told it was the safest anti-nausea drug during pregnancy. As soon as the IV went in my arm I experienced anxiety and panic. By day three on this drug, I was in a severe panic attack with severe depression and thoughts of suicide. I have no history of mental illness. I went to the ER for help to talk with a counselor or psychiatrist. I can remember crying violently and saying that I was going to die. The ER doctor had me committed to a locked ward for the suicidal. I was kept there for 12 hours and released once the doctor at this facility was told by myself that I had no history of these feelings. She said that it was a side effect from the Reglan. This drug has caused me to still have a low grade depression. I have two kids and one on the way. I blame this drug for altering the quality of my life and my family's lives. If anyone knows a lawyer that deals with Reglan cases, let me know. I'd like to fight this. I can't believe this drug is still on the market.

I do think the drug maker should put more emphasize on the side effect! I do believe maybe 98% people who take Lipitor without side effect that is why lots of doctors just ignored this fact. I was on Lipitor for two month with daily dose 10mg. Right after one month, I started neck pain with no reason and lasted a month didn't improve at all. Luckily, I thought about the possible Lipitor side effect so that I stopped to take it. Amazingly, just one day without Lipitor, my neck pain almost went away! I tried on/off Lipitor couple times again, and the results were consistent. But, when I revisited the doctor who prescribed Lipitor for me, he just don't believe this fact! He don't believe I had Lipitor side effect at all and prescribed me some pain killer, and asked to continue on Lipitor!
Thanks to the internet technology! I found this website and knowing so many people do have Lipitor side effect! Because this experience, I realized my mother complained back pain for more than a month with no reason, and she was also on Lipitor. I called her, and just two days after stop taking Lipitor, her back pain gone, she can walk again!
Initially, I angry about the doctor! Why he don't follow drug maker directions about the side effect! Then, I realized that in fact the doctor may never encountered Lipitor side effect either patients don't know it is the side effect or most of patients who don't have the side effect at all! I could argue that a doctor is a high trained professional, who should play cautions! Second thought doctors are human too, once they used to the impression Lipitor has no side effect, they may easily miss the warning sign, even ignored the clear fact like my doctor did!
In my view, both doctors and the drug maker responsible for the people suffering Lipitor side effect, but of cause, the law sue against the drug maker is more effective for lawyers!

I have been taking Biaxin for seven days. Thank goodness this is my last dose. I've had all the regular symptoms (naseau, upset stomach, diarrhea, metallic taste in mouth morning, noon and night), but I also have noticed a severe break out with acne, night sweats and tiredness. I feel like I can hardly keep my eyes open. I forgot one dose and felt almost like myself again, guess that's what triggered me to finally take the medicine. I will not take this medicine again. I'd rather get a yeast infection from some of the other antibiotics than feel like a walking zombie again. This is some strange stuff. I even quit taking my zoloft while taking this antibiotic thinking it was the interaction of the two drugs, but it didn't help.
