I had my Mirena inserted in 9/07. I was fine until 6/08. In 6/08, I started to experience strange urinary symptoms of urgency and frequency. I addition, I had pain on urination. No UTI present. I had a cysto to r/o interstitial cystitis. The physician said that it did not look like IC because I did not scream when fluid was infused into my bladder. For the last 5-6 months, I have been dealing with my strange symptoms. The GU speculated that my problems might be due to my dropped bladder, but he seemed very unsure.

A few week ago, everything changed. I started having the most severe urethal pain. I was in tears all day long with 3 kids to care for. I have wbc and rbc in my urine. ALL cultures were neg. The Dr. even cultured me for STDs. Last Thursday, I had my Mirena pulled out after reading this message board. I'm hopeful that it hasn't caused irreparable damage to my body. I still have the same symptoms 3 days post Mirena. Please let me know if anyone has had relief post Mirena.

Thank you!
K.

I have been using this med for 18 months going up to 400mg and now back to 200 mg with the hope of coming off totally. I am concerned however with the labwork I had recently as compared to routine labs in April.. My WBC and neutrophils are lower. I just recently had 2 CT's of the abdomen and pelvis with an ultrasound scheduled on Friday. I am so aggrevated with this and I am glad I investigated this drug a little more due to feeling hopeless the physical and mental problems I am having. My mood swings never really stablized and are still the same. Has anyone come off of this with positive results and did they treat your bipolar with a different med with better results? Thanks

500 mg of levaquin here, taken it for 5 days now, so dizzy I can't sit here in my chair at work, yeast infection like you wouldn't believe, but my infection that I am taking this for is totally gone, my WBC was almost 20 when I started now it's down to 14.

I wouldn't dissuade someone from taking it, but be very aware of its effects.

I have been on predinsone for 14 1/2 years. I have had weight gain on and off and now I am up to 270. I have chronic asthma, MS and bad allergies. I had seen a specialist years ago and they said I would never go off prednisone. I am dependent on it. Two different times in these past years I had gone down to two 1/2 mg. I was able to lose weight and I felt pretty good. I went down 85 pounds. I promised myself never to let it happen again. haha. I have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. I am 44 and have been married 23 years. My husband loves me the way I am (so he sayes) but I am very depressed and unhappy about the way I look and feel. I have moon face, I am obese, I have the lump on my back, I am taking numerous other medications for my asthma and MS. My nurologist has given me some anti depressants and I guess it helps but sometimes I just feel like asking if it is all worth the trouble. I can't take it sometimes, I just want to run off the side of the bridge. Then I think about my family and my mom who lost two sons, one to asthma when he was 17 and one who was shot when he was 21 and I know she couldn't take losing me. I recently had a dose of solumedrol in the emergency room and the next day my doctor took a CBC and dif. It came up that my wbc was 20,000. He said that was very high and I just wanted to know if anyone else has had a high white blood count after a dose of solumedrol.

To Guest 12473 especially: Many thanks for your posting.

I too, have been on this lisinopril for nearly two years, starting w 10mg and recently ending at 40mg. Side effects include erratic BP, horrific dry cough in the evening, productive but sometimes bloody sputum in the morning. Unexplained low grade fever that comes and goes. WBC going out of sight, RBC going down. Hemotologist/Oncologist wants to do bone marrow biopsy thinking the same as Guest 12473: lymphocytic leukemia. My opinion: I've been slowly poisoned by this filth for months. Of course the body is doing strange things, the WBC are trying to fight off this chemical infection. I pray permanent damage has not been done. Quit the lisinopril 48 hours ago. Cough is starting to improve, feeling somewhat better and more energetic, but am now getting queasy throughout the day. Supposed to fly to England and Wales in a few days; hope I can make it.

This filth needs to come off the market now!

I have been on Lisinopril now for 4 months. I developed a terrible dry cough, I suffered a heat stroke after only being outside for about 45 minutes, I have episodes of what I call "Brain Freezes", when my brain will not think and I cannot talk. All these things happened while being on Lisinopril.
Only yesterday did I find out the terrible side effects associated with this drug. I have had abnormal Blood tests. In fact they are fearing that I have Lymphocytic Leukemeia.

This drug causes increase in WBC, dry cough, extreme sensitivity to heat and to sun, mental changes.
This is not a fit drug for man nor beast.
My face and eyes stay extremely puffy all the time , which is another side effect.
I refuse to take this drug any longer and will be seeing my MD. on wednesday. If he should refuse to beleive my symptoms are related to this partioculr medication, then I suppose I will find another MD.
After all our MD's. work for us. We are the boss and anyone whose Md. refuses to accept your symptoms as a side effect of this drug is not a good Md.
Find another Doctor and tkae control of your life. You know how you feel, and you know if something isn't right.

I am just questioning abnormal blood work with Lisinopril??
The following are low: Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, RBC, RDW, Neutrophil

The following is high: Lymphocytes

WBC and all else is Normal

Unfortunately I did not have labs prior to starting Lisinopril.
