Has anyone had the experience of previously taking Levaquin without side effects, then when taking it again, developed severe headaches, joint aches, muscle pain and weakness, etc? I am currently going through this. I've taken Levaquin before probably 2 or 3 times due to upper respiratory problems and not noticed any side effect but this time, I've taken 5 days worth, 3 in hospital 2 as outpatient dose and can hardly move. I had the same experience in 2004 with zithromax. Had taken it without side effects, then suddenly when taking it again developed such bad chest pain, I thought as did my doctor, that I was having heart attack and spent a week in hospital before figuring that one out.

Just to let you know, I started on the NuvaRing last June and then tried committing suicide in July by overdosing, b/c I was feeling severely depressed as well as hopeless and I almost succeeded. I was on life support and in ICU for 6 days. I took the NuvaRing out the week before Christmas, not even realizing that is what was making me feel awful and decided to not go back on it, and beginning the first week in January of 2009, I have never felt better in my life. Im off of one of my depression medications and the other one is at its lowest dose and my depression is almost nonexistent. I do believe this NuvaRing is the worst thing in the world. You will begin feeling better in a few weeks

I've tried NuvaRing three times over the past five years, and each time I experienced severe anxiety and depression. I never had this problem with any other type of hormonal birth control. I just now had it in for a week, and began to feel very deeply depressed, with very dark thoughts of hopelessness. It was horrible. I could not function. I removed it this morning and am hoping for a return to normal moods soon. Normally, I'm an even-balanced person who doesn't get depressed or anxious. My conclusion is that this form of birth control can be very dangerous for some women.

I am a 51 year old female that has experienced several side effects from lisinopril, especially when I started going into perimenopause at the age of 48. I am now menopausal, but I thought I was doomed to having hot flashes/night sweats, sleep deprivaton (wake up every hour or so every night), depression, forgetfulness, lack of concentration, bloating for many years to come. I discovered that the lisinopril was causing this when I went on a cleansing diet for a week in January and noticed that some days I felt great and other days I felt like crap. I realized the pattern was directly connected to whether I remembered to take my lisinopril. I started taking 20mg/day 7 years ago, was upped to 40mg/day 3 years ago and have stopped taking it for now so I can function normally, especially for my analyst job. I've been making some lifestyle adjustments (losing weight, deep breathing (I tend to hold my breath frequently), next I need to quit smoking) to lower my BP somewhat, but I am going to ask my doctor for an angiotensin receptor blocker (DIOVAN since some peope have mentioned here that they have been successful with that) when I have my appointment in 2 weeks. Uncontrolled HBP can cause more serious problems down the road, so I have to try to control it with meds for now while I continue my lifestyle adjustments.

Has any woman ever experienced side effects that could be confused with perimenopause or menopausal symptoms?
