I had stopped taking it for about 2 months (50mg p/day). I began working out 30 days a week and doing some weight lifting. I began taking it and 3 days later I began to get leg cramps. knee pain, and shoulder tingling. I realized I haven't had this issues since I stopped taking it. My bp has been fine without it. I think it has to go.

Advair affected my heartbeat, made me feel every heartbeat as if something was wrong. I also had muscle cramps, even after hydrating before bike riding or weight lifting. the unusual heartbeat went away two weeks after stopping use of advair.
I also went through a peeriod of lower back pain, maybe from sore kidneys, although I tapered off of the advair slowly.
I feel better after getting off of this drug, I thought ageing was catching up with me I am 62 but after stopping use of the drug i feel 40% better than while on the drug.

You girls have no idea how thankful I am that I found this site. Short history - I'm 33 with four children and was diagnosed with a dermoid cyst on my right ovary and a fluid filled cyst on my left 04 November 2004. My gyn put me on Yasmin because she said that my symptoms were typical of high estrogen levels and that by boosting my progestin the cysts would dissolve. She said that without a blood draw so I insisted on one and she ordered it but also told me to start the Yasmin anyway. I wouldn't be taking the white pills, however, she wanted me to continue the next pack to keep the progestin level high. I started that assuming I was doing the right thing. Three weeks later I heard nothing about my blood draw so I called. My estrogen level was fine which meant I had no idea what caused my cysts or what would make them go away. SO, I called the doctor who said I'd have to make a consultation appointment and that ended up being 30 Jan. 2006. Yes, I have to wait three more weeks to see her. I'm NOT happy, but I am also very sick.
For four years I've been HEAVILY involved in kickboxing and weight lifting and now I can barely get out of bed. I've been throwing up like I'm pregnant, nauseous like I'm pregnant, getting migraines like I have a tumor, and appetite? HA! I can't stand the sight or smell of food. Girls, you talk about an eater ~ I can get down! Sadly, I haven't worked out since October because of the cysts making it painful so I decided to hit the gym last night and I even went light on my weights. Nope. Left early...had to puke. In addition to having PTSD and OCD, I now have depression because I'm so SICK all the time.
Someone, please tell me that this will go away or that I'm doing the right (or even wrong) thing. I read that someone's back looked like a warzone. OMG, my FACE does. I'm VERY picky about my face and hair ~ my hair has fallen out in bird nest clumps and my face is a map of the US. It's SO depressing. WHY? I'm 33 and I've NEVER had a health problem and now with two STUPID little cysts, my world has crumbled.
So, is this Yasmin side effects? The vomiting, migraines, my eyes not being able to move without losing equilibrium, my face becoming a connect the dots trick, food becoming the enemy...it really feels like I'm pregnant but TRUST that I've not had sex. It's too painful from the cysts.
HHEELLPP...
Love in advance -
KiDS

I've been taking Ovcon 35 for 2.5 months now. I was put on the pill due to a cyst that had burst, and in hopes to regulate my cycle for a better chance to get pregnant. I have gained weight, have really tender breasts, bad rash on my legs, headaches, nausea and I am tired all the time. I do now get my period every month always on the week of the green pills, but now its heavier and lasts longer than it used to and the cramps are sometimes very painfull. The only things that are really bothering me about this pill is the rash on my legs and the being tired all the time. No matter how long I sleep I always feel like I havent slept in days. My sex drive has increased a whole lot, but I cant complain about that. I havent really noticed an increase in breast size but I do notice that when they are really tender they feel different, and sometimes the tenderness feels like aching muscles. Like I was weight lifting all day.

Thank you to all of those who have posted to this website. After two years on Yasmin, I kept attributing heart fluttering (started six months ago), horrible mood swings (past three months), weight gain (noticed three months ago), and of course, horrible symptoms of PMS (three months), not to mention the anxiety attacks. Of course, like everyone else, I didn't put it all together until today.
I started looking back to see when all these "things" started happening, and realized I was not taking any other medication besides Yasmin. Heart - the doctor said the EKG didn't show anything, but recommended a stress test, though the sudden "smothering" feelings kept on, anxiety attacks began (nothing changed in my life to bring on any anxiety, and in fact, my life has never been better professionally or personally), severe headaches on the third week, and then a noticeable weight gain (at least to me, as I work out all the time and eat healthy and could not figure out what it was). Breast size increased some, not enough to go up a size, but enough to notice my bra fitting tighter and not because of any weight lifting.
I am about to call my doctor and tell his nurse and get off these pills. I am miserable and so moody and angry all the time, for no reason. I felt like I lost my old self the past few months. Sex drive is diminished since being on Yasmin.
Does anyone know how quickly the weight comes off after stopping these pills or hormones? I have always been thin and these pills have almost forced me to invest in a new wardrobe.
Thank goodness I am not going crazy.

I have yet to speak to anyone
about Fosamax who doesn't have
a story about how dangerous this
stuff is. I stopped taking it
after five weeks. I understand
that walking and doing some controlled
weight lifting will help you avoid
osteoperosis with drugs.

Correcting typo: I understand
that walking and doing some controlled
weight lifting will help you avoid
osteoperosis WITHOUT drugs -- except
for taking calcium supplements.

I was prescribed 500 mg. Levaquin for 10 days for gall stones. I am to have my gall bladder removed in about 5 weeks. My reactions started after my second pill. I have felt extremely tired, my hands are achy -- I can barely open a jar --, and I've been totally depressed. I stopped taking the drug yesterday, after 4 pills.
Until my gall bladder attack, I was completely healthy. I am physically fit -- walking between 4-6 miles most days, combined with weight lifting and yoga. I am so tired since taking Levaquin, I am not exercising at all. On the third day of the medication, I made myself take a 4 mile walk -- not at my usual brisk pace -- more like a stroll. I completed the walk but was totally exhausted and spent the remainder of the day and the next day in bed. My tiredness has to be a reaction to Levaquin. I certainly wasn't feeling this way prior to taking the medication. I will never take this medication again.

I'm 46 years old male. I am very active. Water Ski, Snow Ski, Weight Lifting, Hockey etc. I was on Simvastatin 40mg per day for about two months. Although I have a bit of arthritis in my knees and shoulders I couldn't believe how horrible I felt on this drug. I felt so weak and I had joint pain that was incredible. I walked around feeling like I had the flu or something. I ached every where. My knee swelled up really bad and I didn't know what to think. So I called my doctor and he said to go off it for now and I can't believe how good I feel again. The scary thing is he wants me to take a two week break then go back on it. According to him, he has read stories that statistics show if you go off this drug for a few weeks then go back on it ,that most of the time people don't experience the same side effects ever again. If anyone has been off then back on it without side effects I would like to hear from you. I really don't want to gamble with this again. It was horrible.
