I was given Wellbutrin in the hospital. Two days later I became so dizzy that I couldn't even walk without falling down and I began to vomit excessively. The doctor said it was a bad reaction to the Wellbutrin and he took me off of it immediately. It has been 2 days since then the dizziness and the vomiting stopped but now giant red itching welps has appeared all over my legs, arms, and feet. What should I do? Should I go to ER?

i have been taking Wellbutrin xl for 10 days.I broke out with itchy red warm whelps that vary in size all over my body. I started around hairline, neck and wrist. Next day it moved to stomach, under breast and armpits and legs. day 3 its now on my face. Benadryl helps some but as soon as it wears off the rash appears again. I have been experiencing major heartburn as well. Doctor said because it took 10 days to break out , he doesn't believe it is the medicine. I take absolutely nothing else other than 1 a day vitamin.
He prescribed prednisone for rash relief. So we will see if this works , but after this web site , I am going to stop the Wellbutrin. Its not worth the itchy splotchy rash. Driving me Crazy!!!

I started taking Bactrim for impetigo, and a week later my whole body was itchy, red, swollen, and had huge welts everywhere. It was horrible. I'd never had an allergic reaction to a drug before, so it was very difficult.

My 3 year old son has been on singular for about 6 months and just in the last month he has been breaking out in these rashes. The rash starts with him scratching and can start anywhere on his body. It can be on his butt, thighs, arms, neck, back and face. Some of them are small circles and others start like that but then turn into big welps. I give him benadryl and he stops itching and they go away. I took him to the doctor recently for a checkup and we were told it was related to fever and an infection (which he had at the time.) However, it still persists and after reading all your comments and am convinced it is the singulair. I am so pissed right now because the paper that comes with the medication mentions nothing about rashes.

Thanks for all your comments, it has really been enlightening

My wife is having a severe allergic reaction, she is covered
in red welps all over her body. Started as small red dots
and blew up big time after she took a hot shower...seemed
to really "ignite" it. She is itching like severely and we are
possibly going to the hopsital if it gets worse tonite.

MY 3 YEAR OLD SON WAS GIVEN OMNICEF FOR AN EAR INFECTION, HE WOKE UP THE MORNING AFTER HIS 8TH DAY OF THE 10 DAY ANITBIOTIC WITH A LITTLE BUMP ON BIG TOE. WITHIN AN HOUR I NOTICED ANOTHER BUMP ON HIS ELBOW. THEY RESEMBLED MOSQUITO BITES. WITHIN THREE HOURS HIS HANDS AND KNEES WERE VERY SWOLLEN AND HE ALSO HAD SEVERAL MORE BUMPS ON HIS FACE AND ARMS. I TOOK HIM STRIAGHT INTO THE DR BECASUE WE WERE ALREADY IN TOWN. THEY SAID IT WAS A REACTION TO THE OMNICEF. WITHIN ABOUT 30 MINUTES AT THE PEDIATRICIANS OFFICE AND HIM HAVING HIS SHOES OFF, HIS FEET SWELLED ENOUGH THAT I COULDN'T PUT HIS SHOES BACK ON. THIS ALL STARTED ON MONDAY MORNING. BY TUESDAY EVENING HE WAS COMPLETELY COVERED IN HUGE WELPS AND THERE WERE CIRCLE SHAPED WELPS OVER THE ALREADY VERY RED SWOLLEN WELPS. I TOOK HIM BACK IN BECASUE HIS SKIN APPEARS TO BE BRUISING AND HIS EYES ARE SO DARK. HE IS ITCHING AND HIS SKIN HURTS HE SAYS. BENADRYL IS HELPING BUT FOR ONLY A FEW HOURS AT A TIME. THE PEDIATRICIAN SAYS IT IS REALLY BAD HIVES AND COULD LAST FOR UP TO 6 WEEKS. MY LITTLE GUY IS IN WAY MORE PAIN THAN BEFORE THE OMNICEF EVEN WITH HIS EAR INFECTION. HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY DIAREAH OR STOMACH PAIN THE FIRST 8 DAYS, THIS JUST CAME ON SUDDENLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY. NEVER AGAIN WILL ANY MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY USE OMNICEF.

hello, zoloft caused a number of negative problems that even my pcp could not believe at first until i was sitting in his office and he watched my lips swell 4 times their size, welps as big as a fifty cent piece all over my body that itched beyond belief. a cough that made me vomit several times a day, indigestion non stop. he sent me straight to an allergist that said my lungs air capacity and dropped to 40 percent. they also did not believe it was the zoloft that i had been taking for several months. I stopped the zoloft and within a few days everything return to normal, i ask my doctor to put me back on zanax, which he did and was also convinced that the zoloft was not for me. my allergist billed me for 1500.00 to tell me nothing. Sometimes u had better follow your on instincts. The doctors do not know as much as u might think.

Hi, Well I've been on Zocor for about 2 weeks. A few days ago I noticed that my palms with randomly itching. That night I woke up and my hands were itching , I was clawing at them. I ended up having to take a benedryal to ease my dicomfort. The next day the itching was gone but I called my Doctor who told me to hold of on taking my Zocor for 3-4 days to see if it went away. The next day it was back, my palms itch and even will look like they have welps on them. Then they will hurt and look splotchy. Yesterday I noticed that the roof of my mouth was sore and my lips are kindof pelling. Since then I have also noticed that my head is very itchy and small "bumps" are on my scalp.
