I used nuvaring for 7 months straight and never had any problems. My period always came exactly the same day every time and I loved that since without it im pretty irregular meaning I could get my period between usually 3-5 days after I was supposed to. Last month I decided to stop Nuvaring and had my period exactly when I was supposed to have it (September 8). It is now October 10 and I still haven't had my period. I just had sex twice a week ago and with a condom. I'm also feeling some cramping like when I usually get my period only that when i usually feel that, my period comes within minutes but I've been having this cramping the whole day. i also have been peeing very often today. Yesterday (Oct 9) I took a pregnancy test and was negative. Why am I having cramping? Why is my period already 5 days late? Why do i have to pee so often? Is this because I stopped using nuvaring a month ago?

THIS IS MY STORY AND I'M STICKIN TO IT! PREDNISONE IS A DRUG FROME HELL!!! I WAS GIVEN PREDISONE BACK IN THE LATE 90'S WHE DRUGS LIKE THAT WAS DESPENSED LIKE CANDY AND YOU DID NOT GET A PRINTOUT ON THE CAUSE AND EFFECTS THAT THIS MED COULD HAVE ON YOUR BODY AND IN YOUR AND YOUR HEAD!WELL.........I WAS ON A LARGE DOSE AND HAD A MAJOR EPISODE BUT I HAD A WONDERFUL FRIEND THAT I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES ONE DAY( 3 DAYS INTO THE PREDNISONE AND SHE WAS WAS A WORK!) SHE TOLD ME THAT MY VOICE WAS SO LOUD THAT THE OTHERS IN THE OFFICE COULD HEAR ME AND SHE ASKED EXACTLY WHAT THE DOC HAD GIVEN ME.SHE HAD ACESS TO A PDR AND WHEN SHE GOT HOME THAT DAY SHE LOOKED UP PREDNISONE CALLED ME AND TOLD ME TO FLUSH WHAT I HAD LET DOWN THE TOILET AND TO HELL WITH WHET THE DOCTOR SAYS BECAUSE THE PRED WOULD KILL ME OR MAKE ME KILL. SO DOWN THE TOILET IT WENT!!
THAT HAS BEEN AT LEAST 10 YEARS AGO OR MORE AND I HAVE REFUSED PREDNISONE AND MOST ALL STEROIDS THAT DOCTORS HAVE TRIED TO PRESCRIBE TO ME.WELL, I NOE HAVE A HEALTH CONDITION THAT REQUIRED PRED FOR IMMEDIATE RELIEF FOR THE PAIN BUT IT HAS BEEN GIVEN A MEASURED DOSE)BUT) I STILL AM HAVING THE SAME SIDE AFFECTS BUT HAVE ANTI AXNZIETY MEDS TO TAKE THE EDGE OFF.I SHARED THIS STORY WITH MY PRIMARY CARETAKER THAT I AHVE NOW AND HE SAID THAT HE WAS GLAD I TOLD HIM BEFORE HE TRIED TO GIVE IT TO ME.HE SAID THEY CALL THE SIDE AFFECT PREDNISONE PHSYCOSIS.YES.....IT HAS A NAME!!!! ALWAYS TELL YOUR DOCTOR YOUR EXPERINCE YOU HAVE HAD WITH THIS MED BECAUSE THEY DO HAVE ALTERNATIVE MEDS AND CAN ALSO GIVE MEASURED DOSES OF PREDNISONE AND IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT ASK ABOUT GETTING AND ANTIANXIETY MED ALONG WITH IT. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR MEDS ASK YOUR PHARMACIST FIRST FOR THAT IS WHAT THEY WAS TRAINED AND SCHOOLED FOR AND ANYONE OF THEM WORTH THEIR SALT WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE MEDS BEFORE THEY HAND THEM TO YOU AND WILL TELL YOU THAT IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS TO CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!I HAD A GREAT PHARMACIST IN A SMALL TOWN I LIVED IN YEARS AGO AND HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND WOULD EVEN TELL ME WHAT FOOD AND OR LIQUID THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE WITH THE MEDS.DOCTORS TODAY ARE NOT SCHOOLED IN MEDICATIONS AS THEY WAS YEARS AGO! ALWAYS ASK YOUR PHARMACIST IF IN DOUBT!!!! HOPE THIS INFO HELPS!!! PAMELA

I can relate to a posting that stated the patient was having trouble distinguishing dreams from reality. I was having this problem too. Had a hard time explaining to my doctor who said that he had never heard of that side effect. It doesn't last long for me, but it's very troubling whe it occurs. I am unable to take the 150mg of Wellbutrin XL. I would prefer an extended release but it is not offered in 50mg. This means that I have to break a 100mg pill, not extended release, in two. The meds then kick in faster and drop off within about 10 hours. The drop off is also unsettling. Hope this post helps someone. Hang in there, guys. Keeping praying.

My daughter had an injection of Kenelog for a rash that covered most of the right side of her body. At the time she was only 19 months old. A few weeks after the injection, I noticed a bluish color spot near her right hip area whe the injection was given. I first thought it was a bruise. It has been 7 months since the injection and the area has an indention, and has grown in size. It is now about 2" in diameter and continues to grow and is bluish in color. Like most, I was not told of any possible side effects. I am left to only imagine what her long term side effects will be. Will it continue to grow? Will it cause her pain? How can this medicine still be in use if these are the known side effects? How many others will have this injection without knowing the side effect? I guess I am angry because as a mother, it is my responsibility to take care of my daughter and now she has this area that I don't know if it will get better all because I was not told the possible side effects. If I had known, she would not have had the injection.

I took three doses of this medicine (as directed) over the period of a day. i started to feel light headed and got up to go to bed. I looked in the mirror and my pupils were dialated to almost the size of my irises. I laid down and everything started to tturn black. i elevated my feet but it didn't help. It felt like i had pins and needles being stuck all over me. All of my muscles tensed up at once and then whe ni was finally able to relax them i started shaking uncontrollably. I was so dizzy, I couldn't even stand up straight. I found out I am allergic to this medicine. there are no warnings on the label that this could happen. i think I may have been in shock. Be careful!!!

I am a healthy 19 year old male that was put on 10mg of lisinopril 4 months ago. My BP was always around 125-135 but when for some reason when I saw the doctor I would get nervous and my bp would go up. I now learned it's called "white collar syndrome" Everything was fine until about a week ago whe I started having chest pain and heart palpitations (pounding feeling, very fast pulse). It got so bad that I went to the emergency room. All the tests they performed came out negative for a heart attack. Later the next day I met with the chief cardiologist and he believed this was due to the lisinopril. I stopped taking it 2 days ago and my pulse returned to normal and the palpitations have stopped and I feel like myself again!! However, if anybody reading this experiences a fast pulse or punding feeling seek medical attention!

I was prescribed riperidone over 6 years ago.I was wrongly diognosed as schiczophrenic. It made my life hell.i suffered phsically for the first 4 days of taking it.I was could not walk and was in alot of pain.Whe the physical side affects wore of,i started to feel strange mentally.I started to can not have very strange thoughts which made made mylife a misery.i often wished was dead because of this.I could not get on with my life.I might as well been mentally paralysed.
I dont know if a medication could cause such side affects
mentally. But I can not link it to anything else.It is strange that
the hese thoughts affected me less whn I stopped this medication. After a while I was put on another medication .The thoughts were still disturbing me but not in a major way that it did when I was on risperidone.I developed depression as well.I was a once healthy person who was now mentally ill.I stopped all the anti schiczophrenia medication.Since then these thoughts are insignificant and no longer disturb me.I am now so happy that it is all over.i never want to go through anything like that again

I have had the Mirena since Aug 2007. Since i have had this, I had gotten acne cysts, moodiness, and lack of sex drive. i though i just may still be having PMS without having my period, but now i'm thinking it's the implant. I also keep yeast infections and discharge due to too much hormones being absorbed. (my gyno said that sometimes it may look like a yeast infection whe if fact it is extra progesterone coming out) she gave me a very low dose of estrogen and it seemed to help) but recently i have started antibiotics for my acne which in turn gave me a yeast infection (joy joy). thinking about having it removed and going with nuvaring cause its actually costing me more money than what i'd be spending on the pill (dermatologist appointments, diflucan RX, acne meds) i think the cons are outweighing the pros at the moment. Has anyone else experienced yeast infections? i don't see anyone that has posted it yet.
