im 27 and have 2 kids, i had the mirena put in after my 2nd child as ive always had very bad periods.i also have nerve damage in my stomach which gets irritated sometimes by the mirena.i have recently found out as im due 2 have my coil changed that after 5 yrs it could be expired and i might be pregnant. and after 5 yrs of bad moods and stomach pain i could be pregnant thats the only reason i got it in the 1st place was so i didn't get pregnant.ive also had overian cysts which i think are related to my coil as i haven't had a period in 5 yrs but the doc's keep telling me its nothing 2 do wit the mirena.im hoping to get it removed soon still debating on weather or not ill get a new one.

Actually, I had been taking YASMIN for over a year with NO problems. I was on every other pill known to man, but suffered from Acne sooooo, MD put me on YASMIN and skin was clear with no bad side effects. Recently, my MD put me on YAZ and, now, I'm having bowel issues (hospital twice), migraines, cramps in my legs at night, bloating and acne coming back. YAZ sucks! I'm tired all the time and feel depressed, too. This is all new to me so I'm going to ask to switch back to YASMIN!

I hate this pill! I have been on it for a month. I been getting bad back and hip pain and I am always tired, I can sleep for 12 hours just like last night and be up for 3 hours and want to go right back to sleep, I noticed my hair has been coming out when I get out of the shower and also when i brush it (more then usual), I'm gaining weight and that's bad for me cause I have weight issues and I can't stop eating! All I want to do is eat. As for my sex drive and moodiness its better then when I was taking ortho tri cyclen, with ortho tri cyclen when I was in the mood it would go away instantly, my moodiness was crazy I would break up with my boyfriend over the tinest things. I think I'm done with taking birth control, I didn't like either way I felt with either one.
Also I spotted for 6 days not even heavy, idk if I should take a pregnancy test or not. I called pph and they said it could be because I don't take my pills at the same time but they don't know. sometimes I miss one pill and ill take it the next day wit that day pill but I never take it at the same time sometimes I take it an hour or two later. Should I take a pregnancy test?!

My 9 year old son started Singulair 5mg about 8 months ago. Shortly after, he started to occasionally complain of stomach pain and not being hungry. About 2 months ago, they changed the dosage to 10mg. He now has chronic diarrhea and severe weight loss. We stopped the medicine about 2 weeks ago, but he's not "back to normal" yet. He's never had any digestive problems before. The doctor's recommending endoscopes, and we're at our wit's end.

I have been on Yasmin for about 5 years. I have never had an issue. I am worried that everyone on this site is making Yasmin look bad. You all need to remember that not everything will work for every person, everyones hormones are different to begin with so when you add the pill to these different levels of hormones you will get different side effects. To the people with low sex drive, did you perhaps think that this could be due to depression or the aging process? Many women suffer from low sex drive, those on and off the pill. Your sex drive will not be consistent throughout life, mine dropped in my early 20s and now is rising again, it may drop again, it can also be due to stress. All that said if you're suffering side effects that you think are attributed to Yasmin, or any other pill, stop taking it! Not everyone's body will handle it.

I am a 56 y/o female who started on Fosamax last Sunday. I have a dx of osteopenia. I followed the directions of taking pill with full glass of water and remained upright for 30 minutes before having anything to eat. I was fine on Sunday but on Monday I woke with SEVERE bone pain! My whole rib cage, back, knees and heels were hurting so bad. It felt like I had pain in every bone in my body. I could not take in a full deap breath as my rib cage was hurting so bad. I could not bend or turn without terrible pain. My energy level was zero. I immediately called my doctor who told me to hold the Fosamax (ya think?) and ordered Vit D lab levels. Apparently when you Vit D levels are off (don't know if too high or too low) you can suffer this bone pain. I am awaiting the results. The pain is better today and I was told it takes 5 days to get out of your system. I only wish I had done my homework and found this site before taking this poison. I have to say I'm a registered nurse and know that ALL medications have side effects and everyone responds to meds differently. Some side effects subside as your body gets use to it and some can experience severe allergic reactions. But it's important to weigh the risk vs the benefit. I would rather deal with osteopenia in another way. So my search begins for alternatives to Fosamax for good bone health. Has anyone had good results with other supplements/meds?

My heart rate spikes when my blood pressure gets markedly lower. I also get really dizzy when that happens. I know that so many of you are struggling with these side effects and I also know (based on experience) how nerve wracking it can be. Maybe...just maybe we aren't experiencing side effects from the drug exactly, but instead the effect of the drug working. Maybe once our bodies get used to the lowered pressure, our heart rates will normalize. Maybe when we adjust to the lowered pressure a little better, we won't get so dizzy....
Don't mean to sound preachy...I guess I'm just trying to suggest an alternative view...again, one that is based on experience../.

I can't believe some of the things you people are blaming on the Mirena! There is NO substantial evidence that supports ANY of your claims! I had the Mirena put in on the May 16 and, while it was painful to put in, I haven't had pain since! My only complaint is that I haven't stopped spotting. My sex drive is IMPROVED if anything but the bleeding has made it hard to "engage". As soon as the spotting lightens enough, I "engage" and then right after, I start bleeding again. But that is no big deal since I was told to expect this pattern. As for those of you little teeny boppers who are just dating and haven't had a child yet...What the hell are you even doing on the Mirena??? Did you not hear that you aren't a good candidate for it????

I had my Mirena inserted five days ago Within an hour after insertion I began having back pain. I called the doctor's office but of course they had left for the day. I figured it would get better. Two days ago I started having bad headaches, and a fever. The only way I can describe the cramping is like when contractions first started with my labor. Sharp pains in my lower abdomen. that spreads to my back. Last night I started having diarrhea and vomiting. I talked to my doctor's office today and they say no way that it has anything to do wit Mirena, I must have just caught a bug. Anyone have these symptoms? I am also just ready to take anyone's head off that comes near me!!

I am 24 years old and I have been using Yaz for four months now and I think it is the worst BC I have been on. When I first started, I took Ortho Tri-Cyclen because it helped with my acne. I was a little moody and crazy on that, but nothing compared to YAZ. Yaz has made me very depressed, angry, sad, have bad cyst like acne (as mentioned by an earlier post). I have stopped taking it, but just a couple days ago so it may be too early to tell if this is the real cause, but from what it sounds like, more than likely. I'm glad so many people have posted about it because for awhile there I just thought that I was going crazy!!!!!

i am 36 years old. I have used Mirena for almost 4 years. I have suffered almost all the side effects mentioned on this site including chronic ovarian cysts. I have low cholesterol, low blood pressure i eat a low fat diet. i have lost over 70 lbs in the past 18 months and I exercise regularly. Yet early Saturday morning I suffered a heart attack! Yes at 36 ears old! I am concerned that Mirena had something to do wit this incident. Therefore i am researching if anyone else has had a heart attack while using Mirena. If so please contact me direct at *** Needless to say i am having my device removed promptly and would caution others to do likewise.

This drug seriously needs to be pulled! its not worth ending a relationship over, i almost well was single because of it...gave me severe mood swings, depressed, made be feel not only sick but i couldnt eat anything, felt like someone was stomping on my chest, its all bull, and no one should even take this...pretty sad that every website i have been to about this drug, just says SYMPTOMS: Nausea, Headache, Dizziness, and Vomiting.
ADA needs to pull it because it does NOT do that job its supposed to. tha mood swings started off very mellow, then after 3-4 days of taking it, its coming to my attention it IS NOT me.....I was getting severely depressed when got into a fight wit my girlfriend. and i almost jumped out fo tha car at 70MPH because of this. Regardless of wut anyone says i am not right in tha head and wut not, i am so...just these so called Antibiotics messed wit my head. i erge everyone to boycott this use of this so called drug DOXYCYCLINE HYCLATE 100MG Caplets. If you wanna continue to be screwed wit, i then suggest you to stay on them for some tha symptoms are better for over half they are bad. My opinion....they are like a Anti-Depressant. If you take them and you are NOT depressed, moody, or have some kind of prob and when you start taking them you do have those probs, but if you do have those probs then you wont have tha bad probs is psychology and kinda hard to explain on wut i mean gonna have to figure it all out for your selfs. Because right now still coming clean from theese, i stopped taking them 2 days ago and still in my system a bit. so yeah i hope didn't bug anyone

Geodon - Weight Loss, Mania Anyone?
________________________________________
I've been on Geodon for 5 wx & have lost 15 #'s. I usually weigh 130, now 115. looking anorexic, but my depression is a lot better now, I'm happy, first time in ovr a yr. nothing else could break the barrier except the Geodon, but it makes me manic, on top of already being manic…can't sleep. as I was about to crash & burn (thu), before I went running to the ER, i found my stash of 4 mg Risperdal that I just weened myself off of 3 mos ago, due to the long term side effects I was having (td, slurring, twitching, sexual dysfunction...). it took the edge off, til I can talk to the pdoc on tue.
like many of you, i’ve tried everything. i’m at my wit’s end. This bizarre combo seems to work for me. It puts a muzzle on the mania, allowing me a more hypomanic state where I can function & still feel really happy. although I’m going to try 40 vs 60 mg geodon. & try going down to 2 mg risperdal or try another a/p. adding the risperdal allowed me to sleep, along w/the lorazepam. but, I prefer not to be on risperdal
So, as of now…i'm on 60 mg geodon, 675 mg lithium, 4 mg risperdal & 1 mg lorazepam X 2/day.
has anyone else had this experience? Especially w/the mania & weight loss?

I think that there are a lot of older people describing their experiences. I'm 21 and I think it is the second worst pill I have ever been on, the first being the patch. Pills obviously affect people differently, but my doctor put me on Loestrin 24 to help with my endometriosis, to make my period shorter and consequently, make my cramps less. Well, my period is only one day shorter and the cramps are worse, to say the least. Anyone with endometriosis can understand the feeling of getting your uterus ripped out slowly every month, the back hurting so much you can barely move, the hot flashes, and it just has gotten worse the last few months that I've been on Loestrin. Also, I've never been over 135 lbs in my life. I was 132 when I was put on Loestrin. I went to the doctor and was weighed in at 138 so I decided to start working out and be careful about what I eat. I was doing really well at my new little work out plan, but then weighed in at 145! To never be over 135 and suddenly be 145 is awful. Plus, my moodiness that came with another pill, has changed to severe depression for a couple days a month. I'd rather be angry than feel worthless. I've never really had problems with those things before I started taking pills but I'm definitely going back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. That's my 'safe' pill.

low in side efects, unlike dianabol, the definition you see in up to 2 1/2 weeks is amazing......does stimulate hunger a bit but doesnt make u look swollen in the face........doesnt cause any mental effects and builds your streath up at a decent rate........basicly used for size or a secondary steroid to be used wit deca, anadrol 50,d-bol , or any other bulking steroid

I've been on nuva ring for over 2 years without any problems or complications. I guess everyone is different. My sex life is great. No depression here. And absolutly no weight gain at all. I feel bad that all these women did not have the same luck as i did wit nuvaring. I will never go back to the pill or depo provera(ugh that was the worst i wouldnt recommend depo provera to anyone!)

I tell my doctor and he jus raises the dosage like its nothing. Its like they really DO NOT care about ppl they just wanna send out meds like candy so they can get their job done.. I dont think they are realising what they are puttin ppl thru.

Good Evening,
My mother has been taking Remicade for several years now. I believe 4 years.
She has ankylosing Spondylitis. Nasty nasty disease. The drug has worked like a charm so far. Aside from the temporary side effects during the first few hours of injection - tiredness, drowsy, etc.
After that, shes as good as a goat.
Recently, shes been experiencing a loss of recent recent, very recent memories. Sometimes a convo here she wont remember or take a while to remember.
Or convo yesterday she wont remember at all. Also her ability to compute math problems in her head on the spot has decreased. She has a hard time doing any simple math. She was never like this.
Being in the medical field, her wit and brain power were her key features. Now that have dwindled, shes having difficulties coping with her loss.
Shes been tested for Dimentia and other ailments when reaching the age of 51. So far, soo good. No such things.
I would like to know, if this side-effect ( if i can call it that) is permanent or temporary
Her doctor in charge of her dosages has reduced her treatment volume to fewer ml and will prolly resort to other meds as well.
See how it fairs in the months to come
If anyone has any cases similar to this. Please relate and re-iterate!
God-bless!
