Hello everybody!!
I had a very bad reaction the very first time I took my first YASMIN pil. Well, I took it on a Sunday night at 23h45 and went to bed. 1h00 in the morning I wook up feeling:
-Dizzy,
-My hands and legs heavy
-I had a LOT OF TROUBLE BREATHING/ bad hearth palpitations
-then my whole body started shaking very badly
I felt just horrible, so I called an ambulance. They took me to the hospital and checked everything on me. They told me there was no evidence to say that my reaction was caused by Yasmin. But I am 100% sure, cause I was feeling really healthy and all of a sudden, in 1 hour time I was just feeling horrible. I obviously did not take my 2nd pil….
After recovering, the following week I started with DIANE 35. This time I took 2 pils, but I was feeling very sick (vomiting, could not even eat, etc) all day long so stopped once again.
After talking to different doctors, and seeing that nobody cares… Finally I’ve done some ALLERGY TESTS for YASMIN and DIANE 35. I was just sure that the result would be positive, but I was really surprised when the results showed nothing at all. I just could not understand anything.
I know that my reactions where due to the pils. However the allergy test did not relate my sickness to the pils. Does somebody have an explanation?? Any similar experiences? Do you think that I just cannot take hormone treatments?

Thank you!!!

I just came from my Dr. and he prescribed Singular for my allergies. He really convinced me to take it. So it's day 2 and I haven't taken it yet. I told my Dr. that the commercial on T.V. said a list of side effects that out weighed the symptoms of my allergies. This website has totally convinced me that I just threw away $135.00, cause I refuse to take a medication that has so many awful side effects. thanks for everyones input on this medication. and I hope for the best of luck with the people that are having such a difficult time with their medical problems.

the more and more i read about this pill im amazed at how many "little" things ive been having and wondering now if this is the pill. Itching. I have been itching like crazy and thought it was dry skin from the cold weather but thought it was strange my skin didnt look dry. this is just too much back pain , inability to sleep, is all of this worth the trouble? not for me. I want the old me back and we'll just continue to use condoms.

I'm taking zoloft for panic attacks. I'm on day 3 of 25mg. I have severe diarrhea. Yesterday I had a burning/tingling sensation in my shoulders and moved up to my head. It lasted about 2-3 minutes. Today I feel like I'm in a fog. I also have trouble sleeping and occasionally have small pains that last for a second all over my head. I'm not sure if this is worth the trouble. I won't hesitate to continue the medication If I can be sure these effects will go away. My doctor wants me to up my dosage by 25mg. every week and I don't know if this will worsen my side effects.

Nuvaring.... what a good idea... i will never go back and i wasnt even on Nuvaring a full month
A week after inserting the ring, my breasts became enlarged and very tender, weight gain 10-15lbs, and extreme mood swings, i am glad to see there are others with these same issues i was afraid something was really wrong with me, the convience was a plus, but not worth the trouble, i would reather deal with taking a pill everyday...

I have never taken pills except for mild anti-depressants when I was younger. I am 24 and I took this pill for 6 weeks at which time the Doctor wanted to up the dose from 100mg/day to 200mg/day, until the increase in dosage I have been sleeping more than usual, once I changed to 200mg/day within a couple days I started having progressively worse sleep until I couldn't sleep at all. Also it didn't get rid of my headaches just made them more manageable. I have been off Topamax for 2 months and my sleep was so screwed up during that time, I still haven't gotten back on track and now have to take prescription sleep aids and/or controlled substance benodiazepines. STAY AWAY from this pill!!!!!!!! It is not worth the trouble

hi sleepless,
i have a male reg md he's such an ass.i told him about having a racing heartbeat.he told me i had depression.that was before i found this group i had no idea yasmin could cause it. i also wasted a copy pay to a dr when i was 19 i was put on flexral it gave me tremors & that ass hole dr told me it wasn't the flexral.i made him pick up the book off the floor look inside then he goes i had no idea stop the flexral.never saw that dr again.i guess i'm one of the lucky ones who has a male gyn dr thats listens to me.i told my gyn dr in dec about my racing heartbeat & my period lasting 3 weeks.he told me he never heard of it but to be on the safe side stop the yasmin & try lo/ovral.well lo/ovral was no good gave me a severe headache,7 week long period.i wanted to get back to my reg gyn gave me anyone in the group he was nice but i need more info on what happened to cause me to get a 7 week period, huge clot take this new pill your going to be ok.thats not an answer.maybe all of us ladies should boycot any & all birthcontrol pills to see how we all are after that.these pills aren't worth the trouble.

I have been on predinsone for 14 1/2 years. I have had weight gain on and off and now I am up to 270. I have chronic asthma, MS and bad allergies. I had seen a specialist years ago and they said I would never go off prednisone. I am dependent on it. Two different times in these past years I had gone down to two 1/2 mg. I was able to lose weight and I felt pretty good. I went down 85 pounds. I promised myself never to let it happen again. haha. I have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. I am 44 and have been married 23 years. My husband loves me the way I am (so he sayes) but I am very depressed and unhappy about the way I look and feel. I have moon face, I am obese, I have the lump on my back, I am taking numerous other medications for my asthma and MS. My nurologist has given me some anti depressants and I guess it helps but sometimes I just feel like asking if it is all worth the trouble. I can't take it sometimes, I just want to run off the side of the bridge. Then I think about my family and my mom who lost two sons, one to asthma when he was 17 and one who was shot when he was 21 and I know she couldn't take losing me. I recently had a dose of solumedrol in the emergency room and the next day my doctor took a CBC and dif. It came up that my wbc was 20,000. He said that was very high and I just wanted to know if anyone else has had a high white blood count after a dose of solumedrol.

I am a 47 year old male. I weigh 150#. Been on Lisinopril
5 mg. for 4 weeks. Terrible dry cough which at times makes me gag. Worse at night. I have painful intestinal pains and loose watery stools all day long. I also am experiencing a strange neck and head sweating that lasts all day. I have to have a small fan at my desk aimed at my face to feel comfortable.

All these symptoms started a few days after beginning Lisinopril.

The good thing is that my BP is down nicely.

I am not happy at all with this drug and will tell my Doctor this on Monday. As far as I am concerned, it isn't worth the trouble to keep my BP down.
