Hiya Guest 39074,
You've just exactly described how I felt on Yasmin. I was on it for 3 years and I just really started to notice how crazy I was on it last month. I used to get really depressed, crying A LOT and then I finally noticed the pattern. Every month, I'd feel so anxious that I didn't know what to do with myself. Had some MAJOR fights with my boyfriend too. I was meant to change pill last month to Micro lite.... but the doctor forgot to remind me that I had to take it at the start of my period!! So I haven't been taking any pill for the last month, and I really have noticed a difference. I've only cried at films! Haven't felt anxious or anything. But I was wondering, those of you who have come off Yasmin.... was your period regular afterwards? But starting to make myself a bit paranoid because I've noticed an increase of discharge, more than usual. My period isn't due until Monday but I do tend to be a bit of a worrier. Would greatly appreciate any of your comments :)
I really think that if anyone who has started to take Yasmin take note of how you feel, your body feels during the month. I didn't know much about the pill when I started Yasmin 3 years ago and I didn't notice it was affecting my moods because back then I was pretty emotional before being on the pill, I thought that was just me cause I was on it for so long!

To All-After months of looking at this site and what has seemed to be a mix of just sorting through personal dialogues of individual conversations , it is almost the first time I have found some very helpful actual fact based research and information. So whomever is making all these posts, I truly appreciate it. Please continue.
I've been having what seem to be growing chest pains, most pronounced just before my period to the point it is almost unbearable. Have other women experienced this? It started two years into taking Yasmin but I've now been off for several months and it seems to be getting worse? Does anyone know what this is or could be attributed to? I've already been to the doctor who after an EKG said that it was normal but that I had developed a heart murmur? I've also noticed palpitations and irregularity of how my heart beats during these times. I would greatly appreciate some help/information.....Its becoming quite worrisome.
Thank you

Thank you for this site.
Last august (9/05) I had a Kenalog shot in my left knee. Since that time I have had to get up and pee in the middle of the night ( this is a probelm for me because i am an insomniac). I never had a problem of night urination before the Kenalog shot. All the doctors i have talked to do not believe me. I don't know much about medications but I am very in tuned to my body. There is no doubt in my mind when I started having this problem. There maybe additional dilemmas associated with this (bladder and prostate).
Is there any help and or advice out there? I would greatly appreciate it.
Sincerely
R4xz

I have a question. My daughter has just started taking Seasonale Birth Control and seems to be having some problems. I am trying to find out some of the side effects. Has anyone experienced severe depression while taking this medication? She's only been taking it since the first of January "06. If you have any information or a web site that shows all the side effects I would greatly appreciate it if you could forward it to me.

In Aug I was on levaquin for 4 days and experiencing subtle side effects (nausea, fatigue) until day 4 when i woke up with severe abdominal pain and called 911. I later reread the prescriptions notes and figured it was a side effect from levaquin. But now i am sitting on $15,000 of medical bills because i don't feel the ER physician caught this connections and ran every test possible including 2 CAT scans and an MRI and still never mentioned that it could be a side effect. It seems obvious to me and I am not even a doctor. If anyone else has been to the ER or doctor because of these side effects or if there is a doctor out there that can help me build a case against the physician who I believe missed on diagnosing me correctly and administered several unnecessary exams, I would greatly appreciate it. I need alot of evidence and resources.

I don't know if this is related to recent S-M IV of 1GM/day x 3 days + extended graduated taper off with prednisone.
There is excruciating pain in legs, more left side than right but both. Every atom, waist to toes hurts on maximum volume, in surges and dips of indescribable pain, for hours and hours. Usually back to normal, daily pain level of raw skin with sunburn on waking after so so sleep of 4-5 hours daily.
I have chronic, secondary progressive MS of 14 years. Ambulatory with walker and cane. Also exposed to Agent Orange in heavily sprayed areas of I Corps, Vietnam, 1968-69. I have 100% service connected, permanent and total, combat related PTSD rating.
I am on Methdone and Percocet 3 months, and just started Lorazipam. M&P do not work at prescribed dosages. Yesterday I took 8 10mg Methadone pills and 6-7 5mg Percocet tabs, and it was inadequately bearable, and I barely made it out alive, again.
I'm going to the VA soon to see what they say, but I would greatly appreciate any advice some nice, knowledgable person may take the time to give.
Thank you

My husband was given a sample of this for a month-long bout of bronchitis and we are now thinking it has done permanent damage to his vocal chords. He only used it 5 times, got thrush (yeast infection) in his throat and is still hoarse after a week of being off of it. Does anyone know the history of this drug and has the word "class action lawsuit" crossed anyone's mind besides mine? I am amazed at the way pharmaceutical companies run the healthcare business in this country!
I don't want to go off on a rant here, but are people aware that a large portion of the FDA's operating budget is provided by pharmaceutical manufacturers? This isn't our first experience with this type of thing and I'm about to launch a grassroots campaign to educate the public. Maybe they'll stop believing all the marketing hype.
I'm thinking that the pharmaceutical companies ought to heed the Hippocratic oath - FIRST, DO NO HARM. Wouldn't it be a remarkably different world if they would take all the money they're spending on marketing and use it to lower the price of orphan and AIDS drugs? They keep saying that research is expensive - and advertising on every possible television show, radio and magazines is cheap? Hello? Are we going to be sheep or are we going to be citizens and hold these companies responsible for what they're doing. Thanks for letting me vent. Please contact me if you want to do something about this. And no, I'm not an attorney, but I'm a writer and I think I just found out what my first book is going to be about...
