My 13 year old son was on Singular for several years. I can't remember how long it's been since we took him off, but it's been better than 1 1/2 years. We began a nutrition product for our family and after hearing so many stories of people coming off meds, had the confidence to take him off. He'd been symptom free for a long time. Our family has experienced SO MANY wonderful health benefits from RELIVE products that I'd encourage anyone to check this out and see changes in their health. It makes so much sense to nourish cells so they can help the body combat challenges instead of throwing medication into our bodies every time we turn around. There certainly is a place for proper medication, but let's not always use it as a first resort. Stephen's grades have improved drastically, he has fewer mood swings, he's an all around happier child. I had attributed this to the nutrition but now wonder how the Singular may have factored in to his prior behavior. Please look at nutritional alternatives. Anyone is free to contact me if they'd like to talk more about what we've done. It's been life changing for our family in so many ways.

Doing an article on Yasmin, INFO WANTED on Side Effects that occur after you stop taking the pill
Hey okay so I'm doing an article on Yasmin, the side effects that occur when you stop taking the pill, and would like more information on it. I would like to interview ex users of the pills that have experienced either hair loss, lack of period, severe headaches, and just about anything that resulted. I need to write this article ASAP! All experiences are helpful. I too used to be on the pill, and ever since I stopped taking it my cycle has been out of whack. Please contact me either via email gator924@ufl.edu or through AIM: lipsfullbittin or via phone: 786-239-8751.
While most people know some of the side effects of taking the pill, few know the side effects that occur when you stop taking it. It would be a helpful article to any users or future users of the pill, don't you agree?

I started to take Yasmin on vacation with a friend. I was excited to get all the benefits that it advertised. A few days after taking Yasmin I had the worst mood swings! I was an entirely different person and would snap at my friend over the slightest things. I literally cried while watching the movie Three Men and a Baby--a movie I've seen many times before and never felt emotional over this cheesy movie! Once I realized it was all due to Yasmin, I stoped taking it and within 2 days was myself again. I never even finished the pack of pills and wouldn't ever try it again.

I was born without a thyroid gland so I can't compare the way I feel now to the way I would've felt with a thyroid. I've been on Synthroid my entire life (22 years), and I'm up to 112 mcg now. I am very skinny (5'5", 104 lbs) and feel constantly fatigued no matter how many hours I sleep, what I eat, and how much exercise I get. I periodically get pain in my hip joints, heart palpitations, and intense mood swings. My thoughts race but I have very little physical energy. I feel restless and gloomy almost all the time for absolutely no good reason. My doctor tells me I'm depressed but I honestly have no reason to be depressed and I wish she would see it as a symptom instead of a diagnosis. I graduated from a good college, I've got a job I like, I have friends, I enjoy life and my hobbies, yet I feel overwhelmingly sad. This does not seem like depression to me.
I find that after I do aerobics I get a tightness in my chest, which makes me worry about my heart, but again my doctor doesn't seem to think this is cause for concern. I have been irritable/fatigued for YEARS and I suspect I'll feel this way for the rest of my life. The worst of it started when I hit 16 years old and started the 112 mcg. My tests are always normal and it frustrates me that my doctor disregards my symptoms. I've tried other doctors, but they always send me away with my 'normal' test results. Can anybody help?

Thank you to all who have posted here. My 16 yr old son was prescribed Levaquin on 12/7/04 by a PA who told me, "this is a great new drug we don't normally give to children, but at 16-- he's old enough". (This drug is not approved for ANYONE UNDER 18.) My husband picked up the meds and gave one 500 mg levaquin pill to my son. I arrived at work and started researching Levaquin. This site was the first to pop up. I called home too late-- he had already taken one dose. He has experienced many of the side effects. It is now 3 weeks later. I have not seen many teens experiences and most posting do not tell their age. I am trying everything that will help cleanse his system. He is drinking lots of spring water with magnesium, also everyday eating yogurt, grape juice, sweet potatoes, broccoli, and almonds. I have found these to be healing foods for myself. He is also taking MSM 1,000 mg. MSM is a vasodilator. He tried to take Slow-Mag, but it caused abdominal cramps. I would like more information about what to do, and other teens recoveries. My son is very active, plays several musical instruments and is in marching band (snare drum). Thanks to you all, he didn't take anymore of this poison. I am certain the outcome would have been devastating. One pill was one too many.

Been on Zocor for two years went from 20mg to 40mg and since being on the 40mg I have increased leg & foot cramps so severe @ night that I have trouble getting out of bed, the foot locks up. Even getting up after sitting is a problem, sometimes my feet and legs go numb and I even fell a few times. I get very tired during mid day. The newest problem is my sight, I have notice that there is a blurriness that I don't know if it ever clear up, after telling my doctor this she said it was the arthritis and to take arthritis nonasprin and to stop the zocor for about a week, I am going to stop period.
