honestly i thought i was freaking crazy! this is not the right pill for me. I have had the worst mood swings every and i only started taking the pill 2 weeks ago, this is my last week - EVER! I'm dropping femcon like a bad habit. i have been bleeding since the 4th day on the pill with no sign of stopping. i ALMOST broke up with my boyfriend because my emotions are so out of wack, i have absolutely no sex drive and im moody one day and lovely the next. Luckily, i stumbled upon this website praying that i was just nuts and its all the pill not my boyfriend!!! thankful that seems to be the case and embarrassing as it is i had to state my case and hes willing to ride it out for the next week until i can switch back to my loestrin 24 fe. good luck ladies hope this helped! xox

silke!! chrissy here...

i agree with you 100% about the symptoms being different for every1 and it cant be narrowed down to 3 months...

sure the first 3 months are the worst and were the hardest for me but here i am 6 months later and i still get palpitations sometimes... not as severe as they were but i can still notice it...
i was fine b4 yasmin and then all of a sudden it changed... thats how i know its this poison and not me!!
you sound like you have come such a long way since first getting off yasmin...
i hope i can be as strong as you and make it through the same way...
ur postings are an inspiration...

god bless to you and every1 out there

lisa !!

whoever that doctor is that told you it only takes 1 month to get yasmin out of your system clearly has no idea!!!
i know that yasmin is still in my system because when i started it my period was a very bright red (sounds disgusting but true) and it still is at the moment. my periods before yasmin were never like that and thats how i can tell its still in my system....
so dont worry about that doctor and dont feel that the weight gain is all ur fault because it isnt !! oohhh that makes me so angry!!
with the racing heart question yes i definitly experienced it the same. i sometimes still get it now when im ovulating or the week of my period... its not as bad as it was but its still there for sure!
try not to feel so down i know its hard but just remember all these women have experienced the same thing so that doctor isnt really making sense...
i also read on another website that it can take 6 mnths to a year for bc hormones to leave ur system....
i promise you that it is all normal and your gonna get better 100%
stay postive if you can...
lots of love.. chrissy xox

this is for kitty....

i was on yasmin for one month only and have now been off it for 7 months. i too suffered from heart palpitations and chest pains aswell. i went to ER twice in 3 days becuase i felt like i was having a heart attack...my chest became very tight and heavy and yes my left arm ached and felt like a "dead arm"

yeh they told me it was stress too but i know it wasnt because i cope very well under pressure. anyways to answer your questions the first 2-3 months off yasmin were th emost difficult. now i feel a lot better. i still get the chest pains or racing heart sometimes when im ovulating or the week of my period but its not as bad as it was before..

i promise your gonna get better you wil see it just takes time for your body to detox...
drinks lots of water and do things like Yoga yo help with ur breathing ok...
and if you need anymore support i always check out this site to keep everyone informed...

remember your not alone..
hugs to you and i wish you a speedy recovey

to lisa and Manda... its chrissy here...

firstly lisa.... you asked about my breasts and if they went down after i stopped yasmin. Well when i got on it they increased a whole cup size within two weeks and when i stopped yasmin they decreased back to my normal size within 1 week! but they were so sore it was terrible...
also my heart rate kinda just eased up on its own. it wasnt a sudden change or anthing the pace just decreased gradually... like at the moment i can feel that its beating a bit faster but thats because im ovulating... but nuthing like what it used to be.... much easier to handle now.

to Manda... you asked what PCOS was... it stands for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, its a health problem that affects a woman's mentrual cycle, fertility, hormones, heart, blood vessels and i guess overall appearance. Girls that have this usual have high levels of male hormones or an irregular or no menstrual cycle and sometimes have small cysts on their ovaries. If your wondering about it more there is alot of information on the internet, just type in PCOS into google or something like that.

ok guys lotsa luck!

to the last posting....

i just wanted you to know that i suffered and am still suffering from heart palpitations too! i have been off yasmin for 5 months and for the first 2 months it was terrible i really couldnt cope. im only 23 years old and i felt like my life was falling apart... this website is wat saved me from going insane.

now i have noticed a pattern 5 months later and i realised i only get the palpitatinos when im ovulating and the week of my period.
i also get the migraines too and such sharp pains in my head... very strange... my head itself feels very foggy you could say at times..

also i used to feel extremely tired all the time but then at night i could hardly sleep... i lost my apetite for a while and my sex drive aswell but this came back after a couple of months....
i really noticed a lot of improvement around 4 months coming off yasmin...

thanks for your posting i know a lot of girls and myself will really appreciate it...
lots of luck to you for a full recovery.

lisa,

my progesterone was low yes and it was because of yasmin i was told... the pill stuffs up all your hormones...
you can take suppliments for it... i didnt only because my mum wasnt too keen on the idea of me putting anything else in my body lol... so i just let it pass on its own....
ask your doctor though because they can tell you what you should take.. i cant remember the name sorry darls...

also the palpitations stopped for me after 4 months... but i would have them everyday for that whole time... now i just get them when im ovulating or when im having my period....
it will ease up on its own i promise!! i know you maye feel like its never ending but ur body just needs to detox...
and remember i am always here along with the other girls to give you support ....

happy new year to you too

to lisa...

i know exactly what ur going through.... our doctors dont seem to understand... it takes way longer than 4 weeks to get yasmin out of our systems... i have been off yasmin for 5 months now and i still get heart palpitations when i ovulate and during the week leading up to my period....
dont feel alone in this ok... we can all help each other....
with the blood pressure yes mine went up a little too... it will get back to normal i promise you just gotta give it time...
when hormones get changed it takes a while to get them back into place...
dont be scared or anxious or at least try not to be... i know its hard believe me im still suffering...
just remember the best thing u did was getting off this pill and soon you will be side effect free...
lots of hugs to you and merry christmas...

Hey Chad,

OMG you have to tell her to stop taking this pill!!!! she is the love of your life you cant risk losing her cos trust me you might NEVER find that kind of love again in ur whole life.... some ppl never get to experience what ur feeling even once so i think if you are one of the lucky ones who found it then you have to hold onto her and fight for her. show her this website and make her see what the side effects of this stupid pill are!!! tell her to read my posting now and this message... TAKE HIM BACK!!!!-
please dont give up on her- hormones are so hard to deal with and they totally stuff us girls up....
you sound like a great guy and she is gonna regret pushing u away because she cant even realise it at the moment...
you have to make her see and understand what yasmin is doing to her...and to your relationship.
trust me dont let her get away....
lots of luck to you both

To Joanne, and all the ladies,

Regarding the panic/anxiety attacks. im 22 and I was on yasmin for 1 month only and ive been off it for about 6 weeks.... i have had two anxiety attacks and ive been fully checked out by doctors who say medically im fine. Just wanted to let you know it will get easier as the days pass... i know you didnt want medication and i am NOT on anything either - i preferred to do this on my own..
when you feel anxious just try taking a big deep breath in and hold it for about 3 seconds and just let it out slowly.... just concentrate on ur breathing and you'll get through it. i find that keeping busy takes my mind off it..
and remember that one day everything will be back to normal, you just gotta give ur body a chance to get your hormones back into wack.
take care...hugs to every1 xoxox

hey girls!!
i just read a few of the recent postings and i want you to know you are NOT alone!!! I was on yasmin for 1 month only and then got off it because it stuffed up my whle body... Ive been of it now for 1 month only and have just started to experience some of the withdrawal symptoms...
in the last 4 days ive been in hospital twice cos i had heart pulpitations and my chest felt so heavy and tight i thought i was having a heart attack!! ive head two blood tests and they have all come back clear and ive been told its just anxiety.....
but after reading that other ppl are feeling the same i feel so much better... the anxiety has worn off a little and my chest feels much clearer. We just need to give our body the time it takes to detox and get our hormones back into place...
but we will be ok!!! and the symtomps will soon get less and less and disappear all together...
good luck to everyone and best wishes for your health!! xox
