I have been taking paxil cr 25mg for about a month now and it has really helped my anxiety. The first two weeks were hell but my body has gotten use to the drug and now I feel fine. My only side affects are yawning like crazy, no sex drive, and low appetite (this part I love I have lost 15 pounds) but will the yawning and no sex drive go away eventually? please if anyone has an answer please let me know

I've read all the good and bad.I am a Paxil veteran. 17 yrs, since I was 19.The yawns, sweating,no sex drive, and oversleeping get tolerable. If you have bad side effects after 4 mo. of use try something else.Paxil is addictive. I have had good results over the 17yrs. The Dr has tried to switch at times...I CAN"T. When you have had success for a couple of yrs, you might as well commit for life. My body is addicted. If I forget to take a pill my equilibrium in ears goes haywire. To dizzy for much of anything. Although the past year, as I am getting older my emotions are going numb. Anyone out there over 15yrs able to quit Paxil? As I have had success with Paxil in the past, I'm affraid of what's to come.
I also have ADD. Is there a link btwn paxils memory loss side effect and ADD????

My head aches never result from stress. They always hit when I am most relaxed and content. They often begin with a few yawns.
I have been taking Imitrex for several years for migraine headaches. Overall, it is the best medication I have found. Frequent use does raise my blood pressure. On a few occasions, I have been very sick with the head ache. By sick I mean nauseated, lethargic, sleepy, depressed, extremely weak and highly sensitive to light and sound. On these occasions, as soon as the head ache is gone, the other symptoms are also gone. Occasionally I have found that with the more severe head aches, once I get relief, I am completely unable to go to sleep for about 12 hours regardless what hour of the day or night I got relief of the head ache, and that is after taking more than one sleep medication. Have any more of you experienced similar insomnia?
I am a nurse. I have taken Imitrex by mouth, nasal spray and injection. The injection works much faster and much better for me. I am 58 years old and have had these head aches since my earliest childhood memories.
Good luck with your migraines. They certainly destroy quality of life.

Oh and also! The first two weeks really are the worst. If you're out there and freaked out because the Zoloft makes you more panicky than you were to begin with, it will decrease and go away with time! The first day I took Zoloft I had continuous yawns and I felt drugged, like the world was a haze. I don't know that the haze thing has ever really gone away though - or maybe it comes back if you miss a lot of doses like I did last week..hmm. Anyhow. Second day, I was pacing around my house and office. I felt an intense need to move - again, super weird since I'm being treated for GAD. But, as I said, those intense side effects do go away. Even the sexual ones diminish with time. The ones that I've noted that stay are the lethargy, haze, and the dreams. Good luck!!

I have been on Paxil 40 mg for approximately 7 years now. I've never had a problem with it, and hope I never do, after reading all the messages posted. In the first week of taking Paxil I remember feeling great. I told my mom that everyone in the world should be taking this drug. There wouldn't be any war! But after reading these postings, I've realized that I'm very lucky. I suffered from Depression. I had suicidal thoughts but never followed through. I would cry every night in bed. I couldn't fall asleep at all. The list goes on. I also had anxiety attacks. Paxil has helped all of these things. I am more outgoing and comfortable talking infront of groups of people. I do remember feeling extremely tired when I started taking Paxil. I had the yawns. But that was it. I only wish that all of you could feel the way I did/do with Paxil. I did try weening myself off of it but I just wasn't ready. I had a baby 3 months ago and he's fine. I took the Paxil all through my pregnancy. I did my research on Paxil and pregnancy. So far so good. Yes I would love to stop taking it. It's medication that I'd prefer not to have to take but i'm just not ready yet. I'm happy with the way things are right now.

Second day with on 50mg suppose to take it once a day and so far in two short days my anxiety level increased, I feel jittery all over, feels like my heads in a fog and I get these uncontrollable yawns and haven't had a good nights sleep. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
