My son took it a while ago and has since this day major problems with his stomach and blood in his stool. While in college, he did not think about it being the medication. 2 months ago I told him to stop taking
Doxycycline, but his symptoms are still there. I guess, he already
destroyed some organ in his body with this dangerous pill. How can a company bring a pill on the market, with so many people having
problems with it and even getting depressed.
Unbelievable ! I am so glad I found this forum, this has to stop!
Does anybody has any experience how long the pain will stay after not taking Doxycycline????? We checked his blood and some of the results are not ok - a result of taking this dangerous pill. And the company makes a fortune out of it! Do not care about the health of young adults!

My 16 y/o daughter has been on ability for a year. they have upped her dose and downed it to add more anti-depressants,then upped it again to 20 mg a day. She has been hospitalized 5 times in this year for suicidal thoughts and depression. She would sleep 16 hours a day. She was not even like a person, she was like a dead person walking around when she was awake. She is completely unable to do any school work or chores at home. She doesn't laugh, she doesn't cry,she has no emotion at all.
She is in the hospital again and I have said for the doctors to stop this medication and they are telling me that these are not side effects that this is the symptoms of my daughters depression that makes her this way. She was never this way until she began this medication..
I urge and warn any parent NOT let a doctor talk you until giving this medication to your child. This and most anti-depressants are not designed for young adults and have severe effects that can en heighten the disorder. The FDA has placed this and many depression drugs on the BLACK LABEL WARNING LIST. This is a little something your doctors will not tell you. These drugs are not even remotely safe for children and teenagers at all. They truly make them worse.

My son, who just turned 14 this month, was on Singulair for over 2 years.
He was diagnosed with reactive airway disease and possibly Asthma--and prescribed this awful drug-even back in 2004. The doctor said how wonderful this med was and prevents any further attacks.. So, for 2 years-every night, he took this mood altering, destructive drug. He lost all interest in school, his athletics-soccer, skateboarding, biking..in fact became almost a vacant , very unhappy, child-had stomach aches, joint pains and reflux--why--I brought him to the doctor and Pediatric center so frequently--all they kept saying his --his asthma is better, much be other issues...Even after the March 2008 suicide--his doctor said-that is just an isolated incident-just monitor him--It is a good drug. Right, month by month his behavior escalated to wanting to die, no reason to go to school-he said he was stupid and a failure and why don't I understand there is no reason to his life. A usually happy fun-loving boy -my son- didn't want to live. Nothing made him happy-I started to believe what the doctors said--maybe something or someone at school (bully, pedophile??) caused this change. Terrible nightmares and vivid dreams...Until this past July, I asked him want to go to the library for some books or dvd's...he went ballistic-threw everything off his computer desk and tried to break his chair. He is not an aggressive boy but this behavior was becoming a daily issue. Along with everything flying off his table, was his bottle of Singulair pills. It then dawned on me..I have been poisoning my only son. The child I know and love and gave birth to returned within a few days--although I am worried sick about further asthma attacks --all the doctors can prescribe is a steroid drug-asthmex or Pulmicort.. I cannot understand nor comprehend why this drug is being prescribed for children and young adults. The guilt I live with is terrible as my son has lost 2 years of his life--
and thought there was something really wrong with him-At least we woke up---in time--how about some other parents..thinking it's just normal adolescent behavior for their child or their fault???

My four old son has been on singulair for about two weeks. The change from wheezing/coughing attacks at night and terrible allergies during the day has been amazing. They are almost non-existent to this point a great plus. However, a i stress however his behavior and speech has been VERY INAPPROPRIATE and quite frankly it concerns me. He now states "im a bad boy" and "i dont listen" and his mornings are very testy to say the least. Granted these sound like normal 4 yr. old sayings that he would pick up from other children on the playground but how do you explain them happening almost simultaneously with his taking singulair. I find it very hard to believe that it is a coincidence and that these are normal things for a 4 yr old to say/do when all other things have remained the same. My advice is to diligently watch your child for these warning signs and find other remedies if you have reservations. Im not promoting natural cures but i am leaning toward a diet change for the whole family and consulting my doctor for food allergen testing. I hope this helps. Be Well.

I am 47-years-old and have been on Singulair and Zyrtec daily for at least 10 years. I have to say I have never had a single side effect or episode of depression from these drugs. I have a condition known as idiopathic anaphylaxis, and these drugs have been literally a "life saver" for me.

I just started using le24 @ the end of Feb.2008. i was 19 but turned 20 this March. I started taking this pill bc i had very bad cramps & mild acne. i have not had any weight gain, my skin is so...... clear even the dark spots. so far so good with this pill. i think this pill is better for teens to young adults 15-22. bc i have read the other blogs & it seems the younger girls has less side effects.
