I started taking Lisinipril to lower my blood pressure about a month ago. since the beginning I felt sleepy, lack of energy, and soon started an almost constant cough and really horrible pain in my left hip/leg. I had not found this forum at that time, but I did some research using the numerous medical books online. I came across two different pages about coughing and pain in the hip, both of them pointing independently to the same culprit: bradykinin, which happens to be a vasodilator. That is the way Lisinopril acts, lowering BP by dilating blood vessels. I have stopped taking it, and hope the damage to my leg is not permanent. It is really a dangerous drug and should be withdrawn immediately from the market.
