there is some evidence that stopping a statin results in an increase in platelet stickiness during the first 2-3 weeks after the drug is stopped. i have often wondered if that accounts for clinton's angina..there are things that will decrease platelet stickiness. you could ask your doc what would halp decrease platelet stickiness--ask him/her about the use of aspirin or anything else that may help you over that period
