I have been taking Lisinopril, 10mg, for almost two months and even though my latest blood work does not appear to show any kidney or liver problems, I have developed a lower back pain that only hurts when I move from a sitting position to a standing position. Once I am standing the pain goes away. Is there anyone out there who has similar condition? The only other medications I take is allopurinal for the gout and aspirin, 325mg, every morning. I am 69 years old and feel very good otherwise.

Yes. I have started to get upper left kidney pain shortly after taking 10mg of Lisinopril. I missed a dose for 2 days in a row and had no pain. Hours upon starting the dose the pain began again. It is exactly the same simptoms. I get a horrible (seems like a muscle spasm) in my upper right side in the kidney area if I am sitting or ralaxing on a lazy boy and stretch or turn my body. If I lift my right arm, I see the stars. Trying to get up is a painful challenge. I am calling my doctor and suspending the medication. If the pain goes away, then I wont touch it with a 10 ft pole.

I just started having low to middle back pain on the left for a few days after taking Lisinopril for a couple years. I will get off for a day or so but call my doc also. I also have the itching under the arms and crouch with coughing itch.
