4 days ago my doctor perscribed Levaquin for my acute bronchitis. The first night after taking one dose of Levaquin, I was unable to sleep due to uncontrolable twitching of my legs. The next two days (still taking the medication) I felt exhausted, drained, no energy, nervous. My legs felt week. My eyes were watery and itchy. Last night I woke up in the night and my left eye was very watery and swollen. Also, feeling slightly depressed.

Be very careful. Google Levaquin for side effects. I took it a few years ago and developed severe aches in ALL my joints. It was so bad, I couldn't lay in any position on the bed without feeling severe pain in my joints. I took it for over a week, never thinking for a minute that the drug was causing the pain. I actually thought I had some terrible disease. Finally, I told someone about the pain (foolishly, it wasn't my doctor!) and he told me that he had a severe reaction that sounded the same when he was taking Levaquin. When I started researching it, I found that Levaquin can actually cause permanent joint damage. I stopped taking it immediately, and it was several weeks before the joint pain went away. During that time, it was difficult for me to do anything with my hands because every joint in each finger and in my hand ached when I moved them.
