My wife began using Lantus approximately 2 weeks ago (11/21/05)....

I have been taking Lantus for about a year and have had extreme left side chest pain which then travels back to my shoulder blade. i also experience rapid heart pulseto the point that i cannot walk up a flight of stairs. I have been hospitalized several times due to this extreme heart pain.
I stopped taking lantus about two weeks ago and the chest pain is totally gone, short of breath is gone and i can finally breath. I feel great.
