I have been on Lisinopril for several years, as well as Lovastatin. My doctor put me on these two drugs because I have Diabetes (type 2) and cardiovascular problems are often a result of Diabetes. I have had a chronic cough for over a year. During the day, the cough drives me and my friends crazy; at night, it wakes me up and even with 7 or 8 hours sleep, I never wake fully rested. I take my BP every morning before eating; in December it averaged 113.5 over 68. I guess the Lisinopril is working but at what expense?
