I'm taking zyprexa for months. I didn't try to taper it off because i know i will be experiencing withdrawal symptoms if i stop taking the medicine. I've been taking 10 mg of olanzapine and the side effects to me is dry mouth, dry lips and weight gain. Bad thing is I was being mistaken as a drug addict due to dry lips.

On olanzapine ten years after ten years realized did not need all ten mg so withdrew to nothing, had bad side effects and found five mg perfect for me. No weight loss but no serious gain, not crazy hungry anymore am trying rigorous exercise and diet help. Good luck.
