I also have 24-7 ear buzzing, sometimes sounds like a tea kettle.I have been hypo for years. Synthroid made my hair shed continuously. After years I started investigating and changed to armour. My hair is much better.BUT, when the doc switched me she let me go too long on too low a dosage. I got really sick and had what I call a crash. My tsh went from .07 to 15. Sometime before I had it checked and found out it was so high the ringing and pressure started in my ears. My doctor gave me prednisone and said if it didn't work I would have to go to a specialist. The specialist said I have tinnitis-bye. I researched and found it very well could be coming from my thyroid problems. The last doctor I went to said that it took a long time for the brain tissues to drain of stuff I need. And it will take a long time for it to get back. After raising my armour my other symptoms cleared up pretty fast but this maddening buzzing has been going on for 4 months. dlowe NC
I am 24 and was diagnosed 2 years ago as borderline hypo. Started out on 25mcg Levothyroxine. Felt good then about a year and a half later doc doubled the dosage. Six weeks after doubled dose I got extremely ill. Woke up nauseated and shaky. I eventually ended up in the hospital with severe heart palpitations, nausea, diarrea, shakes, aches in legs, etc etc. Come to find out I should have never been on meds. Be careful!
