I can relate to a posting that stated the patient was having trouble distinguishing dreams from reality. I was having this problem too. Had a hard time explaining to my doctor who said that he had never heard of that side effect. It doesn't last long for me, but it's very troubling whe it occurs. I am unable to take the 150mg of Wellbutrin XL. I would prefer an extended release but it is not offered in 50mg. This means that I have to break a 100mg pill, not extended release, in two. The meds then kick in faster and drop off within about 10 hours. The drop off is also unsettling. Hope this post helps someone. Hang in there, guys. Keeping praying.

I too had a hard time 2 or 3 times trying to destinguish my dreams from reality, i would wake up in my bed, but once i left my room i realized it was still a dream.... I've also been having VERY STRANGE DREAMS.. it's very hard to comprehend them sometimes. I was taking one 150 mg Welbutrin SR every day, now I take one 150 in the morning, and one 150 in the night.. but i don't take them for depression, i take them to quit smoking..And i have already been seeing improvements i used to smoke 2 packs a day, i'm down to less than half a pack each day, and only on the fifth day of taking Welbutrin SR
