I was given Reglan at the hospital via IV for flu-like symptoms, even though I didnt not mention having nausea - just a lack of appetite and indigestion. My doctor did not discuss it with me or ask me if I wanted it, she just sent a nurse in with an IV. I was told she was giving it to me because my heart rate was up and I was dehydrated. The Reglan made me feel a lot better, I left the hospital feeling like I could actually walk again, even though I was still experiencing serious chills. Went home and was basically asleep off and on for hours but feeling fine. Then this morning I woke up with nausea, dizziness, tiredness and headache - symptoms I didnt have before taking the Reglan. I told the pharmacist about this and asked if I should have the prescription filled. He told me that the Reglan was to help me with those feelings and I was just having them because now that I didnt have the medication the symptoms were back. I'm not buying that, though. I think its a side effect of the Reglan and so I looked up this site. I'm glad I did. I now know I definitely should not go pick up that prescription.
