My 72 year old mother took a couple of different statins (Lipitor being one of them) for close to a year but couldn't tolerate the leg cramps. She's been off of all statins for a year now but she continues to have severe leg cramps. Her doctors tell her it can't be from the statins because it's been so long since she's taken them but, we can't think of anything else that it could be. Can anyone on this board give me some ideas? Are there doctors who specialize in these issues? Please email me at ******
