I have been on prednisone ( for lichen planus) for about 6 weeks ...

I am 18 years old my name is mandy and i have been on seroquil for going on four years now. I am bipolar i have insomnia and depression. yes seroquil helps me sleep but i used to weigh one o three before taking seroquil and now i am at one seventy eight but dont look it. i eat all the time and i dont know y. then the doctor told me that they discovered that seroquil makes you gain weight. when i dont take my medicine i cant sleep my mind races and i feel very sick i hate to say this but i think i depend on it. i have tried to quit taking it but the four days i stopped taking it were hell i couldn sleep at all my mind kept racing i was so tired but couldn sleep i felt so sick i am addicted to it and i dont know how to get off and nobody knows what i go through so it would be nice to talk to someone who can slightly relate to my situation!!!

Hello there my fellow prednisone captive =) My name is Diana And i am 25 years old and was put on prednisone 7 months ago. I have gotten EXTREME moon face to the 10th power, gained 60pounds and have chronic INSOMNIA!!! I know this probably isnt making it any better for you i just wanted you to know you are not alone. PREDNISONE SUCKS!!! Oh, I am on it for a Kidney Transsplant.....I also have developed a food addiction if u will...........BLAH!!!
