Since I started my period when I was 13 (I'm 26 now), they have always been irregular. I have been on and off with Ortho TriCyclen since the birth of my son in 1999. I finally just quit birth control all together (except condoms). These past few years I could go 3 or 4 months without having a period. Since the end of last year, I've been bleeding so much. So, I finally went to the doctor and she started me on these new pills. I've never heard of them before. I started Ovcon last month. Everything was fine at first. I stopped bleeding the day I started the pills which was the day I went to the doctor. A few weeks passed. My right leg has really been hurting and aching like I have a "charley horse". I began bleeding again on February 28th. Only a couple of weeks after I started these pills. I finally stopped bleeding on March 12th. That was only because I took 3 pills a day for 3 days just to try and stop the bleeding. It worked for the time being. Now when I'm back to taking 1 a day, I'm spotting. I can't have sex, even though I want to because when I try to have sex, I start bleeding again. I'm really frustrated. My next appointment is April 14th. Should I quit the pills now and just wait for my next appt.?
