to those who take hbp meds, i hope you don't forget to have follow-up visits with your physician to check your liver function, etc. if you have muscle pain or achy joints, back pain, i would call the doctor immediately to get a blood test. i was on benicar (olmesartan)...it's a wonderful drug that really controlled my bp and have no horrible side effects...just some muscle aches which tend to go away once i get moving throughout the day. but after two months, during my follow-up, i mentioned this to the doctor. she had my liver function checked and found out the benicar was doing muscle damage, hence the aches/muscle pain. my creatinine level was too high! anyway, i would just like to remind y'all not to disregard those nagging symptoms...especially the ones that cause pain and discomfort. if it's been present for two wks. or more, gotta let the doc know. if i ignored mine, i'd probably have major damage or complication of some sort.
