I started taking Fosamax in January, 2006. Have always had very thick, healthy hair and have noticed a marked thinning of my hair in this short time. Has anybody had the same symptoms and have they changed to another medication or treatment that does not promote hair loss? Thank you.

I had the same symptoms as you while taking Fosamax. Suddenly one day, my thick,curly hair became very silky and fine. I attributed it to a new shampoo! Then over time, I noticed my hair loss. It has been some time since you came off of Fosamax, I presume, and so was wondering if since your discontinuation of Fosamax you have seen new hair growth?? Pls say yes.
